Loved the cell block. It was so peaceful just a lil walk and your at the beach. Colonial Beach beautiful lil town. Very easy route for the World Cup in Maryland.
If you’re looking for a relaxing time away from the city’s hustle & bustle, Colonial Beach is the place and this property is where you should stay! The location was perfect for us. The apartment is spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished. Terry and Neil were amazing hosts: clear communications and responded quickly to our questions. Will definitely stay here again!
What a gem at Colonial Beach! Having never been, we couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. Cozy, comfortable and convenient to everything. Waking to the sunrise was a treat. Very clean. Beds are comfy. Big nice bathroom. History of the building is so interesting. The owners are very very nice to work with. Would love to come back!
Loved our trip to Colonial Beach. The rental is much bigger than we expected. The photos do not do this place justice. It’s charming, clean, and nicely decorated. It’s a modern loft in a quiet and cute beach town.
Terry was kind and communicative throughout our stay. I appreciated knowing he was would respond quickly.
It’s located steps from restaurants and shops. Right in the middle of downtown Colonial Beach. Definitely would stay here again.
I had a wonderful visit to Colonial Beach this past week and I really enjoyed my stay at the Cell Block residence. The unit was impeccably clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped with all the modern amenities including a washer/dryer, high speed internet and Roku. The location was also unbeatable! You’re only a stone’s throw away from everything Colonial Beach has to offer, including local shops, a variety of restaurants and breweries, and the beach. The hosts were very attentive and welcoming which helped make my first-time visit to Colonial Beach a truly memorable experience. I look forward to my next visit!

Thank you Mario. It was nice running into you during your stay. I am glad you got to enjoy our little town. Fun Fact, we have fireworks two times during the year - in July and in July. You can clearly see them from the unit! Hope you visit again soon.

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Tiny complaint: there were no tissues. I would definitely add a box.
Recent visit to Colonia Beach. First--What a very cute town! The people you meet when out and about are extremely friendly! That's a huge plus. Second, when I arrived at Cell Block, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was blown away with a few things--Convenience and location to things downtown; the decor in the unit is ADORABLE and right up my alley in terms of design, and very spacious. LOVED it! Communication with the host and recommendations for things to do were super clear--they're great folks who respond immediately! All told, this was an outstanding place to visit and a great Cell Block!! We'll be BACK!!
Located right in the heart of Colonial Beach with a view of the beach. This two-bed room suite has a open floorplan with a living room area setup for watching TV, paying games, reading or just relaxing. It is tastefully decorated and has a fully equipped kitchen and full size washer and dryer. The bedrooms have delightful wood strip accent walls and the bathroom has tub, shower and separate toilet room. All the essential are supplied. The unit is self-checking with the door lock code provided by the owner prior to your arrival and communication with them was great. There are a variety of restaurants, brewery, coffee shops and the Potomac River sandy beach just a block away. The unit has excellent high speed Internet and there is even an office desk setup with WiFi printer if you need to sit down and do a little work, but take time to enjoy the beach and the social scene and events going on while you are there. We will definitely come back and stay in this upscale suite.

Why they chose this property
Colonial Beach is a small town, a vacation and beach resort on the bank of the Potomac. Cell Block and Residences at Jail Break are within the Commercial Historic District of Colonial Beach.
The town continues to attract more and more visitors throughout the year, and development continues to grow the Town.
What makes this property unique
We wanted to save a building originally constructed in 1940 and provide visitors a peak into the Town’s history.
Jailbreak was a one-story building to house the Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department. In 1952, a second story was added to the firehouse, resulting in the building that exists today. In 1990, the building served as the Colonial Beach Police Station, when an additional one-story, concrete-block, Cell Block, was added to hold the Station’s jailcells.
