March 2015 Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was an excellent location for us and the weather couldn't have been better. The condo does need some updating. The cleaning fee is included but we were dissatisfied with the cleanliness. The condo needs a thorough going over. I think we left it in better condition. We did inform Florida Lifestyle Vacation Rentals in writing of this on our checkout. Would we rent here again? That's questionable.

Great Location, Not So Great Condo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location of this unit is great. Stayed for one month and had good weather for most of the time. This unit needs some work. Kitchen ware supplied was pretty worn. Would only use one pan as all the finishes are flaked off. Made mention of no TV in second bedroom and Florida Lifestyles maintenance man (Jim) was most helpful in getting us one. He was great! For the money, this unit is way below what we have gotten the past three years.

Great vacation spot!

This condo was great. It was just as listed. The property manager was prepared for super late check in and check out in the early hours of the morning. The location was great. We could swim in the heated pool or walk through the gate onto the beach. The beach is full of shells, sea birds and not overly crowded. It’s about a 30 min drive to activities in Tampa. But there are lots of little shops and restaurants right in the area. The property has a good kitchen, washer and dryer and lots of towels and sheets for additional sleeping areas like the roll away bed or pull out couch. The property provided pods for the dishwasher and 1 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. We needed to buy laundry soap, dish soap, toilet paper and all other toiletries. But that was explained in the check in papers so it was no surprise. Beds were comfortable, pillows were not quite as comfy. The balcony was great for watching sunsets if we were home. The pool does close at dusk so get the swimming in during the day. This is a property that is privately owned condos- it is not a hotel type property. This is also a gated community. You will need your keys to get in from the parking garage and out to the beach. This was a great place for our family of 6 and we would stay here again!

Beautiful Beach

Two Week Vacation in Feb. 2024

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was no internet for the first 2.5 days of our vacation and again the last day and a half. The floors and carpets were dirty. The kitchen didn't have any barbeque tools and the cutlery and dishes looked like purchases from a garage sale. The description of the condo says there are free long distance calls in the U.S. and Canada yet the phone didn't work and was supposed to be replaced but wasn't for the duration of our stay.

Furniture is very old ,mattress is old and uncomfortable.Few kitchen items. Only 3 pans, limited dishes and silverware. No tupperware.kitchen needs updating. Kitchen lights flickered constantly.Florida lifestyles as a rental company was great.The owner of this condo needs to seriously put some money into it to make it comfortable.

Needs Updating

Condo needs updating. Especially the kitchen and the carpeted areas. There was more coffee pots than there were cooking pans. Two out of the three bathroom sinks didn’t drain. They need new cleaning people. Hair in the shower, mud in the bedroom window track, mold on the bedroom sliding door frame and food chunks on the living room furniture. Friends of ours stayed in a condo in the same building. No comparison....theirs condo was beautiful. The location was great and the view was beautiful. The outdoor maintenance was very good.

We had 2 condos but had meals together. Very nice broad beach. Unfortunately, the pool was close as the deck was being repaired. However, we were able to use the pool @ the next door sister property. Easy check in & out.

Beautiful location

Aside from not receiving the email for where to go to pick up the keys to get into the condo, the process was super easy. The description of the location was also very accurate. The location was clean and had a beautiful view of the gulf as well as the pool to watch the kids from the balcony. Having the 2 bedrooms and the pull out couch was exactly what our family needed on this vacation. I would stay here again and I recommend if you’re looking at this location to give it a shot!

Great Stay

Property was great. A little outdated in the kitchen, but overall a great place to stay. Easy access to the beach and area attractions. Loved the size of the condo as it allowed us to spread out a bit.

Christmas at Beach Cottages

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had beautiful weather for the last 2 weeks of Dec. The pool temp was like easing into the womb, as a fellow renter said, and the hot tub was relaxing. The complex is old, but generally is in good repair. Florida Lifestyles is extremely responsive with any concerns. Our icemaker didn't work, and was fixed within a day. The carpet needs cleaning and stretching, and the lateral blinds need replacing, BUT the furniture was stylish and the bathrooms were updated. The fitted king sheet provided by Florida Lifestyles wasn't deep enough, and was pulled up and off the corners every morning, which made for less comfortable sleep. The kitchen can use an update soon. The Teflon fry pans are pretty scratched. One small fry pan was so badly scratched that it was unsafe to use, but there was another the same size that was in usable condition.

A break to the beach.

We found dishes on the shelves that had not gotten clean . We put them back into dishwasher and they still did not come clean. Very nice place otherwise.

Winter Retreat to Indian Shores, Florida

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the complex was secure and well maintained. Unit 1314 was comfortably and tastefully furnished and decorated. The master bath remodel was especially nice and equipped with grab bars in the new shower. Our favorite feature was the balcony overlooking the main courtyard, with a view of the shoreline of the gulf, and gorgeous sunsets.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is adequate-- it was very clean and the furniture and bathrooms have been updated. The carpet throughout the condo needs to be replaced or stretched. The kitchen has not been updated-- but this does not affect your vacation. The kitchen seems to have been stocked from a thrift store but is adequate. The biggest drawback for this unit for me was the management company. The master bedroom has a king size bed but there were no sheets that fit it properly. The sheets were too small and came off the mattress as we slept and sometimes I had to fix them during the night and always had to remake the bed each morning. When I asked Florida Lifestyles for new sheets, the housekeeper who happened to be in the office said we could try a new set but that they "did not rent deep pocket sheets, so they wont fit any better." She was right === they didn't. Florida Lifestyles is getting paid to take care of these units and they should be doing whatever is necessary to make a client happy and ensure that they have a good stay. If this were my unit, I would change management companies to someone who realizes that a good night sleep is important to a happy vacation. .

Thank you for your review. We are confined to linens that the supplier produces as we are not in the linen business. Maybe another management company can help you with the sheets that apparently affected your vacation so drastically. Most use the same linen supplier but will maybe have a thinner mattress to satisfy you. Thanks again for your review and we wish you much happiness with your next rental by someone else.
