It is a great location: near the shops in Duck but also tucked into a quiet little lane minutes from the beach. A herd of deer roam the neighborhood and it was nice to see them as we sat on the porch or played basketball. The teenagers enjoyed riding the bikes into town and fishing and crabbing when they weren’t on the beach. The house supplies so many things to make the stay easier. In addition, we had to reach out to management regarding a minor kitchen fan issue and they addressed it immediately and were friendly and courteous. We had a great and easy stay. Definitely recommend.

Pet friendly & close to beach (main factors in booking this home). Any issues we did have management team was quick to respond and resolve. Seems like a lot of rules initially - don't get intimidated. Most of it is common sense stuff. Overall a beautiful home. Our dogs loved hanging out on the porches.

My husband and I had an amazing time during our stay at Sugar Shack! I appreciate Joyce checking in to see if we needed anything and gave restaurant recommendations. The house was spotless and loved the labels making finding items in the kitchen a breeze! Appreciated all the basic essentials provided such as coffee pods, sugar packets, spices, shampoo, makeup remover, tissue, toilet paper and hand soap! The townhouse was comfortable and cozy, a contrast of your typical realtor managed homes! The view and sound of the ocean was spectacular! It was easy getting to the beach with the wooden board walk so close to the townhouse! Loved the town of Duck! Many new restaurants and shops since our last visit 20+ years ago! The wide lighted walking/bike paths were great! I highly recommend Sugar Shack if you’re looking for a couples retreat or for a family beach trip!

Everything about this condo was perfect! The proximity to the sound and the very nice dock was perfect for watching sunsets! The condo itself was very nice. It was very clean and well stocked and so nicely decorated. The living room area was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The small deck had a great view of the sound and comfortable Adirondack chairs for relaxing. We used the pickleball court which was in pretty good shape in comparison to other places we've stayed. Communication with the owners was smooth and easy! I would highly recommend this unit and will definitely book it again.

This was the first vacation we had taken as a family in a long time. It was the first time for our tiny granddaughter. And we all had a wonderful time. The house was neat and clean with a surprisingly large kitchen. All three bedrooms were also roomy and cozy. The only issue we had was a slow drain in the upstairs bath which was shared by 4 of us (5 if you count a 3 and 1/2 month old). The location in relation to the beach was outstanding. You could hear the waves from the balcony and it was just a short walk to the shore. I would definitely recommend this home for a small family. beds comfy.

This house was really nice. Located in a quiet development, very clean. 2 minute walk to pool. 3-5 minute walk to the private beach. We had one very tiny issue which was rectified within a hour of calling property management. Had some ants in the kitchen, they had pest control out immediately. All of the decks had good views. The hot tub was amazing. Only thing mot giving a 10 out of 10 is that the beds weren’t great. Very hard

We had an amazing time on our vacation. The weather wasn't the best, we had some rainy days durring our stay. We were fortunate enough to have such a nice home to not only relax at but a house that the kids had plenty of things to do. The house was set up with games, and things to watch in the evenings. They had fun in the pool and loved the spacious house. A family of 5 had more than enough room that the kids had their own bedroom and their own bathroom. We spent every night walking the beach, almost every day on the beach and every morning fishing off the dock, with just a short walk. We did spend every day in the pool, and almost every day in the Jacuzzi. For the beach days, I would recommend renting umbrellas and chairs so you don't have to walk those down to the beach. "Just for the beach" was 1/2 the price as other places and they did an amazing job every day setting them up for us. This was an amazing experience and a great place to stay. Everything was so nice for us to use and we felt right at home. The owner was diligent with responding to anything we had questions about and responded in less than a minute. I give this place an A+ rataing and a must go to place to stay. We are already planning our next stay.
