We had a lovely stay in the Purple House! Everything was clean and comfy. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet as well. It was perfect for our family trip, with 5 adults and one toddler.
Our stay was fine. It’s a nice property. We were there of course during Thanksgiving. We didn’t get to enjoy the lake or anything, but that was fine. There’s a lot of neighbors around so it felt safe. I would definitely stay there again.
We were in Maine for a wedding and events surrounding it. We used the Purple House as a base and jumping-off point for events in Portland, Scarborough, and Freeport. Very convenient to all of those places. When we were at the house, we found it peaceful and cozy. Great communication from the property owner.
Only complaint is how close the neighbors are and no privacy fence. Anyone going to visit the neighbor to the left walk right near where you are sitting if in the back yard. I would suggest some sort of privacy fence. The motion light went off every 10minutes at night which made it hard to sleep. I would put up shades of some sort or turn the timer off. Other than that things were good
