We provide the lobster pot! If you don't see the week available that you want, please ask us about our sister property.

The year-round, heated cottage sits quietly along the relaxing Crooked River that feeds into Sebago Lake. Living Room has DirectTV with a 65 inch TV. Recently, added an outdoor private, hot shower and a new tiled floor to the kitchen. Come for the fun, come for the lobster! Want to indulge in some lobster while visiting? We will provide information to get the freshest and cheapest lobster and will provide the pot!

The four-season, cottage rental sits quietly along the tranquil Crooked River which feeds into Sebago Lake. You are in the heart of the Sebago Lake Region. The cottage is minutes away from Sebago Lake State Park Beach, the magnificent sights of the Naples Causeway, as well as the shops, restaurants, and bars of downtown Naples. However, you will feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Being a family-owned and operated cottage, you are like family when you stay with us!

When in the living room and kitchen, you are surrounded by beautiful, Maine knotty-pine walls. Part of the summer you can pick blueberries for your breakfast right off the deck and by the water.

We recently updated the kitchen with granite countertop and added hard wood flooring to the living room. We do rent by the night and weekend during the off-season.

The location is quiet and relaxing for families, couples, and friends reuniting. The vacation house is 1300 square feet large. The outdoor deck overlooks the 125 feet over water frontage. A small, sandy beach area is located by the river along with a dock to swim from and to keep a power or pontoon boat. Sebago Lake is a 20 minute boat ride from the house. Boat landings are nearby. Within a few minutes by car are several marinas that rent watercrafts for personal use. By boat you can ride to the Songo Locks, Brandy Pond, Long Lake and Frye Island. On site there is a canoe with life jackets. During all 4 seasons, anglers of all ages fish for such species as landlocked salmon, bass, lake trout, and brook trout.

The location is also less than five miles from two 18-hole golf courses. The rental of the house allows you free access to the Sebago Lake State Park and Beach. The State Park Beach has a sandy bottom and the entrance to it is 2 miles from the house. Take the family or your loved one to a movie at the Bridgton Drive-in. The house is located less than hour from popular tourist areas such as Oxford Casino, Portland, Freeport and North Conway!

Testimonials from renters.

Annette from MA- Your house is truly beautiful; it was very peaceful and the river was interesting. The best part is the beach by the river- my dog really enjoyed wading in the river- and the deck facing the river. There was really a ton of space and it was really clean.

The flowers in the yard were pretty cool, too- the ones surrounding the house were just starting to bloom; I bet by now there's an explosion of color surrounding your house. We'd love to come back and stay again.

Karen from NJ- We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and appreciated the quiet mornings. The cabin has a lovely view of 'Crooked River' and it was satisfying to enjoy a cup of coffee while sitting on the bench near the water's edge. The cabin is centrally located to all that Maine has to offer and we enjoyed our trip to the Fryeburg Fair(get there early!). We also spent a day in New Hampshire. We finished up with several day trips in the other direction to Freeport, Portland and Kittery. We love Maine!!

Mike from PA- I wanted to let you know that everything was FANTASTIC. The Wife, the dog and I loved getting out of the city to relax. It is truly beautiful up there. I loved the cabin as well. The pictures on the listing do it no justice! I'll surely be back to visit it this summer. Also, your parents were great! I had a nice chat about Pennsylvania (I'm from Philadelphia originally). Small world. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for the excellent experience.

Eric from MA- We greatly enjoyed our stay. We thought the cottage was perfect for our needs and enjoyed the ability to either sit around a fire or have fun on the beach. Once again thank you for allowing the opportunity for us to rent your property during the 4th.

The three bedroom house can hold up to 11 guests. The bunkhouse can be used for up to 2 guests to sleep. The house has several amenities you may not find at all vacation rentals. It has a dock, grill, stove, porch, dock, canoe and a campfire area with firewood. A staircase takes you to the master bedroom. Pets are welcomed. The nearby sister property can be rented for multi-families vacationing at the same time.

Upon your arrival, the house has such supplies as toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissues, trash bags, common kitchen spices, dish towels, matches, firewood, first aid kit, fire extinguisher and flashlights. Renters must provide their own linens and towels for bathing. Two beds are queen-size and one bed is full-size and one is a twin. The living room has a full-size pull out sofa. The house has several board games and three televisions. The living room has a 65 inch projection tv and a dvd player.

The area is truly a four season delight! In the summer, many vacationers visit the Lake Region to fish, boat, sightsee, kayak, canoe, and just relax on one of the many bodies of water. A unique feature of the area is the Songo Locks, one of the last remaining functioning locks to connect two bodies of water in Maine. The house's dock can be used for securing a boat and for swimming.

The price is based on number of occupants, length of stay and season. It is a pet-friendly rental that does not charge extra for pets. A security deposit is required to reserve and occupy the house. The deposit amount is based on the length of stay and number of occupants. The deposit is refundable unless you cancel your reservation with less than 60 day's notice. The security deposit is usually $450 per week and an extra security deposit of $50 per pet. Paypal with a fee, checks and cash are accepted.

About Kyle

Hi, I am Kyle Rhoads and I usually respond to rental inquiries. The cottage is family-owned with my parents, Cathy and Rich Rhoads, are the caretakers. My wife, Carrie, and my sister, Lynley, often help keep the cottage maintained and cleaned. We are family of educators with my parents both retired educators. I am a Principal of a local elementary school and my sister and wife are both counselors in schools. We love this location for the family memories, the peaceful living and our love for watersports. My Dad loves to fish and often helps renters know where to find the best spots to catch 'the big one' that did not get away!

Kyle purchased this cottage in 1980

Why Kyle chose Naples

Our family bought the cottage first as a summer place and then as our primary home because we were spending so much time at it! It is no longer our primary home for us but we want to keep the property so future generations of our family can relax and enjoy the summer months on the water in Maine. Because of taxes and the mortgage payments, we rent the cottage so we can keep our 2 cottages owned by our family.

What makes this cottage unique

I love sitting on the deck or the living room and feel the breeze from the river. You are easily relaxed by the sun rays and warm summer breeze while laying on the dock, sitting by the beach area, or sitting on the deck sipping a cold drink. The grounds have plenty of room to roam and explore. Many guests will set up a volleyball net or a horseshoe pit. Flowers in the gardens bloom throughout the year. The cottage is kid-friendly My young nieces love to play in the water while we watch them from the deck. They, also, love to pick blueberries by the water. If we can get them to wait to eat them, they are delicious with cereal and milk!

The perfect white Christmas!

  • 5 of 5

We visited Maine for the Christmas holiday and we were thrilled with the beauty of a white Christmas. The cottage is so clean and toasty warm. We have stayed in this cottage during the spring and it is equally as beautiful in the winter. Kyle is wonderful to work with and is very helpful and accommodating. He made sure that shoveling & plowing was done. He even surprised us with some holiday decorations so that the cottage was homey and festive. We are looking forward to our next visit to Maine and staying in this quaint cottage!

Great little cottage to stay! Nearby Sebago Lake Park.

  • 5 of 5

I surprised my boyfriend for his 40th birthday. We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was great and was equipped with everything we needed. The view from the back deck was gorgeous! I wish it would have been warmer out to explore down by the dock. The area was quiet and peaceful We were able to enjoy a few days away!

The Rhoads Family was great! They were very responsive with email communication and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. I would definitely recommend this cottage and look forward to visiting Sebago area again soon!

Excellent as always! Wonderfully quiet and peaceful spot, and perfect for us and our 2 little dogs!

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming in early October for years now and feel so fortunate to have found such a peaceful spot, so reasonably priced, and that allows our two little dachshunds. Kyle and his family are super friendly, the cottage is always clean and the kitchen is really well equipped. Great location - quiet if you want to just sit and read, but close to shopping and attractions as well. Lots of good restaurants if you are not in the mood to cook, but the kitchen is more than adequate for anything from a piece of toast to a several course meal. Our home away from home in early October for years now!

Amazing Honeymoon!

  • 5 of 5

My husband Alan and I came to the cottage for our honeymoon. We love the outdoors and Maine was the best of both worlds in being far enough away from home and being somewhere different. The Rhoads family was so welcoming and very easy to work with. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The river was fantastic for kayaking, and there are plenty of local spots for fishing and sightseeing.

The local town wasn't far from the cottage. There are tons of restaurants and stores within a 15-20 min drive if you need to grocery shop or pick up a bite to eat.

The week we spent was so relaxing and so enjoyable that we are already in the works of planning another week to come back during the fall with our 2 boys for next year. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for a stress free, relaxing vacation. We cant wait to come back!
