Very neat house and we loved the court yard area. We had problems with a dirt pile of ants in the kids Pirate bedroom and in the master bathroom. This house was remodeled but it looks as though a lot of corners were cut and there is a lot of shoddy "good enough" repairs. The house is in a fabulous location, right around the corner from the Conch House which we loved!

Wonderful place!

The house is in a great location, spotlessly clean and very private. We loved the 1 mile beautiful walk to the historic district which saved us in parking fees and navigating traffic. Home is very spacious and well equipped, and we had an absolutely wonderful time in St. Augustine.

Lovely home! Open living space great kitchen a room for everyone in the family. To top it off an adorable outdoor area for relaxing and entertaining! Loved this home! Every morning I was able to take a walk to the water ,watch the sunrise and the dolphins at play. A truely therapeutic get away! We visited at Christmas time and the hosts decorated which really put us all in the beautiful holiday spirit!

perfect location, multi-room

Perfect location with walking access to restaurants near by and over the bridge for downtown and the fort. Easy drive to beaches. Big bedrooms, several family rooms, beautiful patio with lots of seating. Full kitchen, laundry, dining, and bbq. Easy parking and great neighborhood and neighbors.

This is a lovely home in a quiet, shaded neighborhood. We could walk to Downtown St. Augustine in 20 minutes, which was helpful during a busy holiday weekend. Tom was very friendly and communicative. The home was just as described, with fun touches and lots of great books about the area. Highly recommend!

"Insta-worthy," Beach breeze, 3 minute walk to water.

Beautiful Home in a great location!

My husband and I and another couple spent 4 days / 3 nights at this house. We had the absolute best time! The house is beautiful and well stocked with everything you need! The hosts are very responsive when you reach out to them. It’s in a great location! We will definitely be back!

Great get away for winter break

House was fantastic for group of friends. Away from hustle and bustle but close enough. Very clean and had everything you need for a long weekend. Enjoyed the patio in the evenings. Beds comfortable. Owner was quick to respond with any questions. Perfect location for playing some golf, a fishing trip and only an hour drive to the race.

Thanks for letting us stay at the Pirates Den

Location was great for us to use the rental golf carts we got in town to drive around and enjoy St Augustine Festival of Lights at night after a great concert at the Amp. Our Friendsgiving was amazing, this was perfect for the 3 couples and 2 friends to sleep comfortably. Thanks Tom!!!

Christmas vacation

The house is located very close to the St Agustine down town and the light house. The house was very comfortable and clean. Every single detaile was taken in consideration, we even had Christmas decoration . It was like being home. Wreallyhad a greattime and will hug.

Family Vacation St Augustine

The property was perfect for our group size, especially sleeping arrangements. The large table was perfect for cards and board games in the evening. We were minutes from our restaurant choices and the beach. I am very pleased with the entire experience. It seems like every detail was thought of and taken care of. There were plenty of towels for everyone, but we did run short of wash cloths.

Family trip

We visit St Augustine often and really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect. It’s so close to so many of our favorite places yet still located in a cute quiet neighborhood. The home was very clean, it had plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved the games and pirate themed room. The backyard was our favorite place to relax in the evenings. We have stayed in several vacation rentals in St Augustine and this was our favorite. We hope to be back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Mahon! The location was perfect with easy access to historical St. Augustine sites, shopping as well as the beaches all while having the comforts of home! Our family of 8 all had their own private, plush rooms that were beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable! The mattresses provided very restful nights of sleep so you were ready to start your day. The kitchen was modern and updated with all that you would need to fix a meal. The laundry facilities was a nice way to come back home without all that laundry waiting for you. I would totally recommend a stay at Casa Mahon!! Thanks for making our vacation complete!!

Great place to stay when visiting St. Augustine

The property is lovely and located in a quiet neighborhood. Upon arrival we found a gift basket in the kitchen as well as toiletries in both bathrooms. Each room was thoughtfully appointed . Our family of 7 had plenty of room to enjoy time together as well as privately . The enclosed patio is beautiful and provides another space for dining as well as relaxing . Beach chairs , umbrella and towels are also provided .The owners included activities for kids and great information ( maps, brochures) for all visitors. Highly recommend.

Wonderful vacation rental

8 members of our family came to St. Augustine to have a family vacation together. This rental house was perfect to accommodate all of us! It is beautifully decorated and so clean! I love that each room has a theme. They had great little activities at the house that our younger kids really enjoyed! They have it well stocked with all kinds of things...games movies, etc. The property owner was great and very responsive! I highly recommend staying here! You won't be disappointed!

What a wonderful house! Very well stocked and organized. So many little things set up for guests like chapstick, shower caps even a pirate scavenger game and prizes for children. The beds were so comfortable and we appreciated the luggage racks in the bedrooms. All 4 bedrooms were comfortable and very clean. House was large and had a living room and a family room. We early birds could get up and sit in the family room and not disturb Anyone.The backyard was so relaxing and beautifully decorated. Can’t beat the location of the house it was very close to historic downtown but in a quiet neighborhood. One of the best houses we have ever rented. The owners were very easy to communicate with.

Having visited this uniquely historic city since the 1980s, we completely fell in love with its timeless charm and finally purchased Casa Mahon over a decade ago. Davis Shores is a safe, quiet, and exceptionally located neighborhood. Our location offers unmatched access to historic downtown St. Augustine, beautiful beaches, and local favorites like the St. Augustine Lighthouse and the Alligator Farm.

We are a mere 5 blocks (a 1/2-mile stroll) from the foot of the iconic Bridge of Lions. Staying here gives you three fantastic, stress-free ways to enjoy downtown without dealing with the major hassle and expense of city parking:

Walk: Take a beautiful, scenic stroll across the bridge straight into the historic district.

Bike: Rent bicycles to cruise back and forth effortlessly.

Drive & Walk: Drive to the island side, park easily near the base of the bridge, and walk across.

By avoiding the main parking garage on the north side of town, you'll save time, money, and a lot of unnecessary walking. It truly is the perfect launchpad!
