The remodeled Anchors Away floating house has 2 bath, 4 bedrooms in addition to an upstairs bedroom loft (sleeps 15).Not only will you enjoy beautiful norris lake experience but you have Froggies patio bar and resturant. The house has Central AC/Heat, washer/dryer, 42” TV/DVD,CD, complete kitchen including oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, etc. Small TV upstairs for hooking up games for the kids. The covered front deck has a gas grill, furniture and three tables for seating 16. It also has an additional large front deck 32×16 which includes a slide and is great for swimming or just lounging and internet. Tie your boat to your cabin for a one of a kind vacation.

Bedroom 1 has a king bed, bedroom 2 has a queen bed, bedroom 3 has a king bed, bedroom 4 has a queen and a twin bed, and the 2nd floor loft bedroom has 2 queen size beds and 2 twin beds.

Had a great 7 day stay at this floating house. Plenty of bedrooms and it was stocked well including kitchen and bathrooms.Front deck was huge with outdoor furniture, grill, picnic table, slide and ladder. Parking for boats all sides of house. Host was nice also and easy to get ahold of for any questions or trash pick up.Easy check in and check out.

Friends on the best lake

Great for a large group! Very clean property with everything you need. Checkin was easy. Description of loft area and as not detailed it looked bigger in pictures than it actually is so plan for kids or those that don’t mind being in a tight space together.

Can’t wait to come back!

We have rented from Whitman numerous times and Anchors Away did not disappoint! Float house was clean, had everything we needed. The teens loved the loft. Communication with the marina was excellent including check in / out. The water on Norris is like no other! Counting the days until we can come back!

Floating house was in a good location and accommodations were comfortable. Had plumbing issue with one of the toilets that was temporarily resolved but occurred again on the day we were checking out.

Norris Lake Long Weekend

My family and I spent the long weekend at anchors away. I have personally been to Norris many times, but never got the whole family to stay together. We all fit comfortably in this large 4 bedroom house with a loft! Large living room and kitchen space. It was nice to have somewhere roomy to sleep. But the main reason we were there was for the lake. The deck was huge, we spent the whole day out there. The waters were calm, got to swim and relax all day. The place could use a little dusting up high, otherwise fairly clean. We had two bathrooms and two showers which was really nice. We had some issues with hot water once and one of the toilets not functioning twice… Josh with maintenance came by twice to fix the problem though and went above and beyond - we really appreciated that. Overall loved our stay.

The spacious deck platform off the front is the best feature of this floating home. It offers more bed spots than other floating homes we've stayed in in past trips to Norris, which was a big factor in our selection. Make a note that there is not a dishwasher or ice maker, so you'll be icing down coolers each morning at the marina. The water pump for the slide didn't work during our stay, but that wasn't a big issue. Overall a pleasant stay on the lake with our family.
