About Jim and Jane Campbell

We are Jim and Jane Campbell and we have two grown sons. The cabin is located on our farm which is a working farm with Angus cattle. We enjoy being hospitable and will make your stay as relaxing as possible.

Jim and Jane Campbell purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Jim and Jane Campbell chose Virginia

We decided to build a log cabin on our property because our view is so wonderful and we wanted to be able to share it.

What makes this cabin unique

We are 1/2 mile off Rt. 460 and close to many restuarants, places to shop, the Peaks of Otter, and Smith Mountain Lake. We have a pond very close to the cabin and there are many places to hike and bike.

We love it here on the farm, because the views off the front porch and the many wildlife you see, put us in awe of our Lord Jesus Christ the creator of it all!

Map

We are 25 minutes from Roanoke and 45 minutes from Lynchburg. Smith Mountain Lake is about 25 minutes from us and there is boating, fishing and you can take a ride on the Virginia Dare.

We are close (35 minutes) from the James River and you can go canoeing and kayaking there.

Cozy and beautiful cabin in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

I had a wonderful time at the cabin! The set up is great with everything in an open space. The kitchen is very clean and has new appliances. The bed was comfortable which faced the television and fake fireplace (that did give off heat) so you can watch movies in bed. Even the chairs infront of the television reclined, which was a nice surprise. The hot tub was wonderful, especially during the winter time! They had robes, towels and other amenities set for us. We really felt comfortable and relaxed in this beautiful cabin! Would definitely go back again! Highly recommend this place!

Secluded cabin in a very scenic and beautiful part of the country.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Creek Cabin. The cabin location is unique in that it is very secluded but not in an isolated and remote location. It is in a rural area and close to amenities. If you are looking for a very clean, comfortable, homey, and well appointed cabin in a very scenic and beautiful part of the country I highly recommend the Lazy Creek Cabin. Great relaxing get away!

This is an adorable cabin with everything you'll need for a great get away

  • 5 of 5

Me and my wife stayed here for our honey moon. The cabin is wonderful. The kitchen has all the cookwear anyone would need to prepare multiple meals in a variety of different ways. The bed is comfortable and the extra blankets provided we're a pleasant surprise. The a.c. is very strong and will cool the whole cabin in under and hour, and the heaters provided are work horses that will pump out warmth. We dis have a small problem with stink bugs but we understand the invasive nature of this incest and it dis not really detract from the experience of the cabin. Our first morning there we sat in the rocking chairs on the frint pourch drinking freshly made coffee as we watched the sun rise. We were pleasantlt surpirsed when 7 deer walked up the hill by us and spent at least 45 minutes within 50 yards of us. All in all this was a great experience and I would encourage anyone looking for a couples get away to book this cabin.
