Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a great time and could not have enjoyed our lodgings more. You do a great job in keeping everything spotless and although we had a few meals other than light breakfast in because of all the dinner invitations, when we needed a toaster it was there,a whisk, etc, not to mention a hairdryer in one of the bathrooms,so all of our needs were met. all three of us love to walk and I cannot tell you how many times we made that river walk from uniontown to city center and back again and on my last day there I walked to the area where the old Peter Pan was located to visit a friend I had not seen for several years and seeing all the homes and views from the hills was fascinating.

Being right on west marine drive does have quite a bit of traffic but with all the other advantages the location and house offer, that was a minor problem.

Perfect for 2 families

  • 4 of 5

Great location. The two separate living areas were perfect for our two families. The adults could gather downstairs while the kids were upstairs. Then when we wanted to relax as a family we could retire to our separate suites. Perfectly located for Astoria, Fort Stevens and Long Beach. We could walk to a few restaurants and taverns. Only downside was the street noise, but for half our family that was perfect white noise. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean, well-equipped, and comfortable house!

  • 5 of 5

Four of us went away together for an "old friends'" ladies' weekend. We rented the whole house, upstairs and down, so that we could each have our own bedroom. It worked out perfectly! The beds are comfortable, the house very clean and cozy, the living room(s) great for sitting and talking.

If you are VERY sensitive to traffic noise, this might not suit you, as it is right on a main road. But we found that, with the windows closed, it was fairly quiet.

The property manager is a very kind and helpful person, which makes the house feel even more welcoming.

Great Family getawy

  • 5 of 5

We met for a family wedding in Astoria at this beautiful home. We had relatives from the U.S. and New Zealand of all ages (12 of us). All the wedding events where just across the street. The house was perfect, well equipped and clean. Loved the ample clean towels and fresh coffee and very well equipped kitchen.

Town was a short walk away (about 1 mile) but that worked great for us.

Claudie was extremely helpful and quick to respond with any question we had. There was great information about the house and the town. Only wish we had longer. I would strongly recommend this place.

Wonderful home!

  • 5 of 5

I rented out the whole home for a girls weekend and it was absolutely perfect! 3 full bathrooms for 8 girls?! Amazing!

The gals who stayed downstairs said they couldn't hear any of us girls walking around upstairs. (So if you're just renting the lower portion, you'd be happy!)

Everything was clean and well maintained. The house seems like it's a bit far from the downtown area, but if you don't mind a little walk, it is in a perfect location. We were able to walk along the boardwalk to a few breweries and restaurants.

We had four (small) cars and they fit perfectly infront of the house. Which was great since we all come from different parts of the state and couldn't carpool.

The only thing I could say that was missing was a wine opener! And we would have loved a few more trash bags for cleaning up before we left!

Overall the house was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends!

Great for the whole family!

  • 5 of 5

Our family (6 adults + 3 kids) recently stayed at this house for a family reunion weekend. It was an excellent and very affordable alternative to the hotels in the area. The home was comfortable, clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The home has two kitchens and three bathrooms - this proved very convenient for us, since we had multiple families staying there. Claudine (the property manager) was exceedingly gracious and helpful - she even came by to personally deliver (and change) a set of sheets when we needed one. I highly recommend this home, especially if you have a larger group. Thank you Claudine for a lovely weekend!
