The space
The lower unit is arranged for up to 4 guests, with two bedrooms available and a third bedroom locked off for smaller groups. The living area is bright and inviting, with comfortable seating, a 50-inch smart TV, a record player with LPs, and a collection of books, games, and DVDs. Natural wood touches and thoughtful décor create a setting that feels both restful and engaging after a day out.

Kitchen & dining
Prepare meals in the kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances, a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and cooking basics. A dining area with seating for six makes it easy to share meals together, whether you’re preparing something special or bringing in local takeout. A fully stocked coffee and tea bar is available, featuring a coffee maker with complimentary coffee, a selection of teas, and various options to enjoy your favorite warm beverage just the way you like it.

Sleeping arrangements
Each bedroom features a memory foam hybrid mattress for restful sleep. In the Tree Room, you’ll find a streaming TV, dual nightstands, a full-length mirror, and a makeup mirror with hairdryer. The Wood Room includes a rustic wooden accent wall, workspace with office supplies, and the same thoughtful comforts.

Bathroom
The shared bathroom has a sleek design with a shower and tub combination, a well-lit vanity, toiletries, plush towels, and ample storage.

Step outside to a private BBQ area with covered gas grill, cooktop, seating, and a picnic table beneath a large umbrella. The fenced backyard, shared with others, offers space for morning yoga, playtime for children and pets, and evenings around the fire pit with seating for eight. You’ll have air conditioning, heating, portable fans, blackout curtains, washer/dryer, and a dedicated workspace. Entertainment options include streaming TVs, sound system, record player, exercise equipment, and a variety of books and board games.

The home is pet-friendly and equipped with a crib, pack ’n play, high chair, baby bath, baby monitor, outlet covers, children’s dinnerware, toys, and safety gates. For outings, you’ll find umbrella strollers, a two-child bike trailer, and helmets.

Safety and access
The property includes smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and exterior security cameras at the front door. Self check-in with a smart lock makes arrival simple. Free parking is available on-site and on the street, and the home is single level with no stairs.

You’re just 7 miles from downtown Seattle and perfectly positioned near the University of Washington, major healthcare facilities, and the city’s top sporting venues. Getting around is easy! You're only a mile from the Northgate Light Rail station and a 5-minute walk to the Rapid Ride bus line. Hop on the Link Light Rail for a quick, affordable ride to UW, downtown, Lumen Field, T-Mobile Park, or Sea-Tac Airport. It’s just $3.50 and trains run every 8 minutes—making your commute or game day a breeze.

Before booking, please review the house rules to ensure this home meets your needs. This peaceful home is part of a separated duplex, offering a private and comfortable space for you to enjoy and relax. For affordability, this unit is a 3 bedroom that has one room locked off.

Each unit features its own entrance, as well as separate BBQ and outdoor living areas, ensuring you have plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. You’ll have all the privacy you need, while also enjoying the tranquil ambiance of the neighborhood, yard and creek. We have a shared yard for recreation & relaxation, dogs, and children. Additional pet fees and policies apply and proof of vaccination/flea & tick protection will be required prior to stay.

Thornton Creek is wheelchair accessible and we have provided a wheelchair ramp, shower chair/grab bar for any disabled visitors with advanced notice.

We are dedicated to offering a comfortable and natural environment for all our visitors. Please note that some of our bedding contains down feathers, and our decor includes natural and cowhide elements. Because we are a natural environment, animals and insects are seen on occasion. We have professional, environmentally friendly, pest control services monthly.

Exterior cameras are at the front door of each unit and another overlooking the parking area. There are NO inside cameras. However, we do monitor for sound decibel levels, smoke, and number of people present.

We support eco-friendly, sustainable, and environmentally-considerate purchases and practices wherever possible. We forgo single-use items such as Keurig coffee pods, use Brita pitchers for filtered water, and recycle extensively.
