Our Return Visit Just as Great as our First!
After enjoying Blue Lobster over Labor Day this past summer we planned a trip to Maine for December to once again visit family in the area and spend some time shopping and taking in the sights. Blue Lobster is in a great location enabling us to shop in Freeport (we enjoyed Sparkle Weekend!), is a short drive to Boothbay (loved Gardens Aglow at the Botanical Gardens), and great restaurants we visited in Bath, Bailey Island and Brunswick and many other spots. The home is well equipped, very clean and the view is just as amazing in winter as it was in summer. Highly recommend!

Lovely visit
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue Lobster! We were in town visiting our student at Bowdoin and found this property to be a lovely vacation spot a reasonable distance from campus. The house sits on a beautiful spot on the water and had everything we needed for our stay. We will return!

Power went out twice
The cottage was lovely but the power went out twice and we ended up leaving early. It was no fault of the property owner or manager, but it definitely put a damper on our stay sadly. Being from Maine, we are aware that this is an issue in many coastal areas so perhaps automatic generators could be installed? And renters should be warned to have water and flashlights on hand?

Long weekend getaway
Great location! Easy access to the remote islands but also close enough to Brunswick and highway. The house was perfect for my husband and I. The owners have the kitchen well stocked and we were able to cook and eat our own lobsters at home so we can enjoy the magnificent view. Both owners were very helpful with any questions we had

An Unforgettable Stay at the Blue Lobster Cottage: Stunning Views, Seafood Delights, and Local Charm
We had a wonderful week-long stay at the Blue Lobster Cottage in late September. The cottage is perched on a cliff overlooking an inlet, offering breathtaking views. We enjoyed sipping coffee and having breakfast while watching the birds and boats pass by. The house was immaculate with comfortable beds and lovely linens. The bedroom offered spectacular views. We particularly enjoyed the seafood in the area, especially the fresh oysters and fish at the Gurnet Trading Company. We also discovered the Wild Oats Bakery & Café, which is a must-visit for delicious soups and bread. On Saturdays, the local farmers market featured amazing artisans, making it difficult for us to choose what to buy. Our stay at the Blue Lobster Cottage was fantastic, and we're already looking forward to returning!

Beautiful views
You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful area. The views were stunning. The listing was easy to find and parking accommodated two vehicles. We had a little difficulty entering the house because the code was not listed in our reservation. The home was very clean and tidy. I would recommend bringing my your own bottled water, the water in this area is tinged a bit brown. Otherwise the kitchen was well stocked and linens and towels were easy to find.we did have to purchase our own toilet paper since there were no additional rolls and batteries for the mini splits to use the AC. The beds were very comfortable and the views from both bedrooms were phenomenal. The back door didn’t lock properly, and the bathroom door downstairs was very difficult to shut, especially for aging parents. I think both are easy fixes. Overall, we would go here again, it really was a gorgeous little house in an amazing place!

Exceeded all Expectations
From the moment we entered the property we were smiling and happy. What a view! And the decor was fresh and comfortable. I’m a cook and I appreciated the efficient kitchen that had every utensil and pot or skillet I needed. The location is perfect for our needs and allowed easy access to family in the area as well as favorite attractions like LL Bean, Bath, Bailey Island, Boothbay and Pemaquid. Communication with our host was quick and easy. Overall just a perfect spot for me and my husband. Cannot wait to return to Blue Lobster!

Coastal Family Gathering
The Blue Lobster was an ideal home to accommodate our family of 6 adults. The location was convenient for day trips including Giant's Stairs Trail, Cliff Trail, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse & Freeport to name a few. We frequented Dolphin Marina & Restaurant, Cook’s Lobster and Ale House, Salt Cod Cafe, Island Candy Company and Brunswick Hannaford. Twice we bought crab and lobster from Hawkes’ Lobster to cook and enjoy on the deck. The house itself is well-appointed. The only con that can probably be attributed to oversight was that there was no bedding set out for the sofa bed. This was not a problem for us as we often travel to rentals with extra bedding so we did not call but had we needed to, I have no doubt the issue would have readily been fixed. We did go buy a large pot for cooking lobsters and crab but that was our choice as there were a couple smaller pots for use. There was a whole lobster/crab set up of utensils, plates and large bowl for those dinners that we took full advantage of. Nice touch! While there was some road noise as expected due to proximity, where the Blue Lobster sings is the deck and view on the other side of the house. Oh my! A large dining table and chairs along with a couple rocking chairs were well used by our group. From morning coffee to afternoon cocktails taking in high and low tides, the deck offered up tranquility that would make us return. Kudos to the owners of Blue Lobster VRBO!

The Blue Lobster was great!
House was perfect for our family of 3 (11 yr old son). Pretty close to several places to eat and small towns. We did some fishing off the dock, my son caught a good size striper on his second cast. Overall, great trip!

Great stay!
The Blue Lobster is a real find. The description of the property is exactly as advertised. It has such a great view from the back deck, bedrooms, kitchen, and living space. We appreciated the kayak recommendation from the owner - we enjoyed such a relaxing time while visiting friends in Harpswell. Can’t wait to return.

Absolutely Wonderful
What a great property at an unbelievable location. House was immaculate and well stocked, had everything we needed. Communication with the manager was prompt and complete. The view from the deck was stunning ... and the private dock made for some great kayaking adventures. Great place to make great memories.
