Photo gallery for Cabin · Hot Tub · Arcade · Black Hills Views

Your home in the Black Hills — the kind of cabin that stops you in your tracks before you even open the door. Warm light, pine trees, and three floors of memories waiting inside.
Slide in after a day on the slopes and let the jets do the work — the Black Hills stretch out in every direction and the stars are already out. You earned this.
Coffee in hand, nothing on the agenda — the top deck is where mornings happen at Lost Camp Lodge. Pine forest, mountain air, and nowhere you need to be.
Fair warning: the game room never closes. Foosball tournaments, arcade challenges, and the kind of group energy that makes the adults forget what time it is.
Pull up a corner of the sectional, let the fireplace take the edge off, and watch the Black Hills roll past the floor-to-ceiling windows. This is where the group lands at the end of the night.

About this property

Cabin · Hot Tub · Arcade · Black Hills Views

Picture this: fresh mountain air, a steaming hot tub under the Black Hills sky, your crew spread across three floors of a custom cabin — kids in the bunk room, couples in their own en-suite retreats, everyone gathered at the fireplace as the snow falls outside. Lost Camp Lodge is built for the trip your family talks about for years. Minutes from Terry Peak, 4 miles from Deadwood, and packed with extras no other cabin in the Hills can match.

ABOUT THIS SPACE

Lost Camp Lodge is a custom 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath mountain cabin for up to 12 guests across three distinct floors — built for groups who want full comfort without compromise.

MAIN FLOOR — Soaring vaulted ceilings, warm wood finishes, and a stone gas fireplace anchor the open great room. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping pine forest views that guests mention in nearly every review. The chef's kitchen features a high-end gas range, a large island with bar seating, full cooking basics, wine glasses, a blender, and everything you need for a group meal. The dining table seats everyone together. A private en-suite bedroom with a full bath on this level is ideal for grandparents or anyone who prefers easy ground-floor access.

UPPER LEVEL — Two en-suite bedrooms each with a private full bath. Perfect for couples who want their own space. A loft lounge with a smart TV is a quieter adult retreat away from the action. The upper deck opens to sweeping forest views — bring coffee up here on the first morning.

BUNK ROOM — Built-in bunks on the upper level that kids immediately claim as their own. Directly across from a parent bedroom so families stay close without being on top of each other.

LOWER LEVEL — The entertainment hub: foosball, pool table, mini golf, and arcade games all in the game room. A second TV lounge below for more relaxed evenings. A fourth en-suite bedroom with a private bath offers complete separation from the rest of the house.

OUTDOORS — Private covered hot tub on the lower deck (open 24 hrs, heated year-round). Main deck with a natural gas grill, outdoor dining furniture, fire pit, and mountain views that go golden at sunset.

EXTRAS — Starlink WiFi, EV charger, dedicated workspace, washer/dryer, pack-n-play, high chair, A/C, room-darkening shades, and a fully stocked kitchen.

We had the best few days at this cabin in the Black Hills. The views of the sunset were beautiful each night sitting on the porch, the house was so clean and spacious for our family of 7 (ages 15-4). We loved the games in the basement, the kitchen was well stocked, and the location was great for exploring the Black Hills area. Jim was very responsive if we had questions and checked in to make sure everything was great. Our vacation was relaxing and fun much thanks to having this beautiful, cozy cabin to return to every day.

Jim here. I grew up in the ranching world and spent years as a cattle rancher — which taught me that taking care of land, animals, and people all comes from the same place. I'm also a veteran, so showing up and doing things right isn't optional.
Julie and I met in college, got married, and built our life in the Black Hills. We have two boys who are growing up faster than we'd like, and this area — the mountains, the trails, the quiet — is something we want people to experience the way we do.
Lost Camp Lodge is our way of sharing that. We keep it stocked, maintained, and ready the way we'd want it if we were the guests. If anything comes up during your stay, reach out directly — my number is in your booking details and I actually answer it.

Why they chose this property

We've decorated the cabin to be cozy and inviting. We love our trips to The Black Hills and hope that you will love the area as much as we do. Our goal is that our guests will thoroughly enjoy the experience and come back to visit often

What makes this property unique

A host who's actually there. We privately manage Lost Camp Lodge and take that seriously. You'll have Jim's cell number before you arrive — text anytime and you'll hear back fast. No call centers, no property management runaround.
Come prepared. We send a detailed digital guidebook before your stay covering everything about the cabin plus a local area guide so you know exactly where to eat, what to do, and how to make the most of your time in the Black Hills.
Your trip, your way. Whether it's a ski weekend, a girls' trip, a family vacation, or just a few days to unplug — we want it to be the kind of stay you're already planning to come back for.
