About Dougs Way
Minutes from Penland School of Craft—America’s oldest and largest craft school—the region is home to several distinctive cabins designed and built by woodworker/artist Doug Sigler and architect Robert Leverich, both well known in the Penland community. Their work reflects a restrained West Coast modern sensibility shaped by the materials and landscape of the North Carolina mountains, and informed by the craftsmanship long associated with fine craft.

Doug's Way stay
The house was beautiful and scenery outstanding! We liked the layout, color schemes, art, furniture, kitchen, and outdoor decks. The beds were very comfortable. The driveway was steep, but my Buick LaCrosse performed well navigating the hill - no issues. All amenities were great. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if in the area.
