ABOUT CEDAR KEY Cedar Key, Florida, is a quirky little island with an old-school charm that feels like stepping back in time. Surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and dotted with colorful cottages, historic buildings, and family-owned shops, this hidden gem offers a laid-back, no-rush vibe that makes it easy to unwind. Instead of chain restaurants and crowded beaches, you’ll find local seafood shacks serving fresh clams and grouper, art galleries tucked into historic storefronts, and a community that welcomes visitors like old friends. It’s a place where golf carts and bicycles outnumber cars, sunsets paint the sky every evening, and the pace of life slows down to match the tide.
Adventure seekers will love kayaking through mangrove tunnels, birdwatching in the nearby wildlife refuges, and exploring quiet backroads that reveal stunning coastal scenery. History buffs can step into Cedar Key’s fascinating past at the small but rich museums, while food lovers can savor a taste of “Old Florida” at the island’s locally loved eateries. Whether you’re here to fish, explore, or just relax with a good book by the water, Cedar Key offers the perfect blend of nature, nostalgia, and charm that will have you planning your next trip before you even leave. Great house with all the amenities. We cooked breakfast and one dinner. Had everything we needed to do so. Very clean, with comfy beds.

Michelle, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a kind review. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed this property. If you ever find yourself back in the area, we would love to host you again in the future!
Described perfectly and beautifully decorated. Management team worked with me on a couple of requests. The only issue we had was the light sconces in the “fish room” would not work so there wasn’t much light especially at night. That issue didn’t affect my rating as it was still 5 stars on everything.
