About the property

Peaceful River retreat close to town and the Ocean

Our pet friendly home offers the best of the river and the sea. With its own private dock, it is located on the Nestucca River less than I mile from the beach. Whether you are taking advantage of access to one of the best salmon fishing rivers in the country from the dock or just watching the cows mosey through the pasture across the river from the dining room table or our beautiful deck, we dare you not to relax and enjoy. Our friendly rates are affordable allowing you to enjoy your stay longer.

Our living room adjoins the dining room and has plenty of cozy seating whether you’re reading or watching TV. There is a library of DVDs for your enjoyment as well as Yahtzee, Scrabble, cribbage, and many more games to play.

Our updated 3 bedroom home is fully equipped for 8 of your friends and family. We have one bedroom on the main level with direct access to the bath and a comfy queen bed. Upstairs sports a cool denim motif with a king dual controlled sleep number bed in the back bedroom. Bedroom 1 has an oversized double bed and an extra-long twin with a trundle below. Linens are provided.

We are a 1 bath home with a unique twist. There is a door between the shower/tub and sink/toilet areas. Each has its own entrance giving the basics of a 2 bath home.

Our kitchen has been recently updated with granite counter tops and sinks. We feature a refrigerator complete with ice maker, microwave, stove, washer, dryer, and an abundance of small appliances. Service for 8 or more is provided. Ready to picnic at the beach…the ice chest, roasting sticks, and pots for your crab await you.

Do you prefer to BBQ at home? The charcoal grill and utensils are ready; the outdoor table can be set. Our deck offers a large glass wind break for full enjoyment. Life jackets are available for your youngsters.

Your private dock gives you access for fishing, kayaking, and boating of all kinds. There is a boat launch opposite the grocery store for easy access to the river.

If you are celebrating a special event or just getting away, we welcome you. Remember you are just minutes away from a long walk on the beach, a magical climb up Cape Kiwanda, an award winning brew pub (The Pelican), numerous restaurants and shops. Whether you crab, clam, fish, cycle, hike, surf, hang glide, jet ski the waves of Tierra Del Mar, or 4 wheel the dunes of Sandlake we know it will be a vacation to remember.

Comfortable for a family, nice peaceful setting

  • 5 of 5

Owners were very responsive and awesome to work with. The dock and river were great entertainment when we weren't at the beach. How the house is situation makes you feel like you are out in the country with no one around, even though there are close neighbors on both sides. Close to town and the grocery store which was very convenient. Beds were super comfy, as was the living room furniture.

Nice get away

  • 5 of 5

Three teenagers and myself enjoyed this home along the river. We fished and enjoyed the cows on the other side of the river. Nice and close to everything and yet felt like we were far away from it all too. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for making your home so enjoyable. The kitchen was brilliantly supplied with seasonings, oil, and all sorts of amazing cooking utensils to boot.

Cozy, relaxing & convenient

  • 5 of 5

The house was easy to find and in a good location. I traveled with my 3 grandkids. A little after check in time Rob called to make sure we got in ok and made sure everything was good. I appreciated that. The kids had a blast on the dock. The seal going by hunting for fish was fantastic to watch. Coffee on the deck was very enjoyable for me. There are 2 beaches not far from the house. The beds were comfortable. The house, linens and towels were clean. There was everything we needed to cook. I would love to come back and stay.

Very comfortable home, dock is very nice to sit at and fish or just enjoy

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed a couple times at this home, I love the new beds, and all items a family needs are provided. I love the new bbq on the deck. I love the added benches down on the dock. Our family spent many hours there on our stay, the weather was beautiful. Our family recommends your home all year long to others, as it is nice to stay not just at Salmon time. Our family has been fishing on this river for over 50 years, its so nice not to have a lot of stairs to climb. Makes it nice for someone who has hard time with stairs, or may be disabled.

Thank you
