Due to damage caused by Hurricane Milton in the Fall 2024 our pool area & beach access are closed for repair. Estimated completion is end of Feb. 2026.

We are fortunate to have beach access just a few steps from the Sand Dollar, via the Van Ave. beach ramp. A short 5 minute walk to beautiful Daytona Beach sand!!!

The Sand Dollar Condominium has just completed a major exterior building renovation in May of 2025. It has been a 2 year project & the Sand Dollar looks lovely & fresh!

Parking is limited to 1 vehicle per unit (7' garage clearance).

Coming to Daytona Beach? Our centrally located condo has everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Located on the 12th floor with a southern exposure, you are at the highest level for a panaramic view of both ocean and inland waterway. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking!

The ample balcony with comfortable patio furniture is a good place to relax with a cool drink and view the beach and street activity. It is always warm and pleasant during the winter months. In summer the sun is high and is there for a few hours in the morning. You can even watch a launch from Cape Canaveral.

The kitchen is fully equipped with the latest in modern appliances. Everything you need in small appliances is there for day to day living as is tableware. Wall to wall patio doors afford a great view of the ocean from the living room, kitchen and eating area.
The living room is comfortably furnished for conversation, reading and television. The TV is a 46' HD flat screen with a good selection of both high definition and regular cable. Again, there is a great view!

The master bedroom has full wall patio doors. Let those ocean sounds and moon light lull you to sleep. Wake up to the sun rising on the ocean. There is an adjoining bathroom with walk in shower. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, double dresser and 2 bed tables. Lots of closet space too, a his & hers.
The 2nd bedroom is ideally equipped to accommodate children and guests. It has a queen bed, 2 dressers and nightstand, plus a TV. It also has a large closet. The adjoining bathroom is a full bathroom with tub and shower.
A comfortable queen sized pull out sofa bed is available in the living room.

All linens and towels are supplied including beach towels. The unit has a laundry room with a large sized washer and dryer.

The Sand Dollar is a 55 unit condominium with heated pool, whirlpool, outside picnic area with BBQ and exercise room.
It has both underground and deck parking, sprinkler and alarm systems, guest foyer, reception/office manager and maintenance personnel.
It is located 4 blocks north of the Dunlawton bridge on A1A. All units are privately owned.

Service facilities, groceries, entertainment, and restaurants are close by. Some you can walk to! Daytona's International Speedway & One Daytona, Volusia Mall and The Pavillion [movies, eateries, major shopping] are 15 to 20 minutes away. Daytona now has a NEW Tanger Outlet Mall, (30 minutes). Orlando is about an hour and a half. And of course step out the front door onto the" World's Most Famous Beach!"

Better on a beach!

This vacation was well needed and what made it better was staying at this property! Short walk to the beach and a beautiful view from the top floor! Plenty of food options around! I will definitely be booking again!

GREAT WEEK @ BEACH

Owners extremely friendly and communicate well. Condo is very clean and family friendly. All appliances are up to date and operate well. Master bed is out of this world comfortable. Great views of the beach and intercostal! Highly recommend!

Hurricane Ian Survivor

We rented the room and toward the end of our stay we experienced hurricane Ian. The owner was gracious enough to let us extend our stay in her condo until we could get a way home. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Mrs Teeple. Your kindness will never be forgotten and I will try to pay it forward to anyone else that I meet that needs help in the future.

Great Place!

Property and pictures are just as advertised. The condo is very comfortable and quickly becomes a second home! Everything you need is there - plenty of bath towels as well as beach towels! Beds are most comfortable and the condo is very clean. Washer and dryer is also a huge bonus. The condo is minutes from a Publix and close to many restaurants and bars. And the view from the balcony is great! Morning coffee and night time drinks were all spent on the balcony! Nancy was quick to return any questions and the on-site manager was also helpful. I also found the building very secure as keys or codes were needed on all entries to the building. We will definitely be looking to stay here again!

Great getaway

We had a great room with the best view of the ocean and river. We couldn’t have asked for a better room. However, the the building is in desperate need of painting and the pool/ hot tub decks need a total replacement. The cones they have set up to warn you about sunken areas have been in place for over a year. If these things were taken care of the place would perfect. My evaluation has nothing to do with the room and it’s owner and everything to do with the manager onsite. Until the exterior issues are taken care of we will find another place to stay.

Great views

The condo was perfect and the owner was even more great. We loved having the views of both the ocean and the river. The property manager and worker there weren't very friendly but we kept to ourselves and followed their rules. We did get the greatest surprise and watched the launch for Space X from our balcony and it was breathtaking. Definately would stay here again.

As comfortable as home

When looking for a vacation condo, my first priority is cleanliness. This condo is very clean and tastefully decorated. I am usually ready to get home to my own bed by the end of our stay, but the beds were super comfortable. We felt very much at home and had all the conveniences that we needed and then some. I would highly recommend this condo and look forward to a return visit.

Perfect Beach Get Away!!

This unit is the perfect cozy and quaint beach get away. Cleanest condo I’ve ever stayed in, and the amazing 12th for view tops it off! Cannot beat location either, close to lots of our favorite restaurants and international drive/ boardwalk are short drives away. Would highly recommend staying here, and cannot wait to go back!!

Absolutely amazing!

What a great place. The condo is clean and beautifully decorated, the views are breathtaking and the balcony is the most wonderful place to hang out. Nancy is a great host, easy to communicate with and she made our stay very comfortable. Highly recommend this place.

Sand dollar condo

We stayed at the sand dollar condo for 13 nights in Daytona it was beautiful inside. The views from the patio was amazing. I’m so glad the condo had a washer and dryer made things a lot better knowing we could just go to the beach and come back and wash everything that day. Overall the condo was amazing and beautiful my family and I had a wonderful experience with the condo and Daytona beach.

Very nice condo

Very nice condo, clean and ready for us to stay. Awesome check in as the keys and garage pass were sent to us in advance. We had a late flight so this worked great for us. The condo is abought 1.5 miles fro the pier and Crabby Joe's and was a nice walk down the beach. Loved the view off the back balcony looking South over the city, great for sunrise. And the balcony at the front door also has a awesome view and is were to watch the sunset. Overall this is a very nice condo in a good location and I hope to get back next year.

We spent a lot of time on the beach, swam and hot tub at night. I felt so rejuvenated when I had to go home. I would love to live there. Condo was awesome.

Our family has been coming to Daytona beach for the past 25 years. It became part of us. It had everything, the Speed Way, Bike Week, shopping, movies, eateries, entertainment, the Arts, and of course the Beach. Things never got boring and we never got our fill. The kids were happy, we were happy. Our names are Peter and Nancy Teeple. We are now retired and are still working at getting our fill.

Why they chose this property

In the course of our 25 years we stayed in a lot of properties. Some on the ocean, some on the road some half way in between, some hotels, some condos, some houses. We decided to buy our own place. After 4 years of looking we walked into the Sand Dollar, Unit 1204. It had the 'WOW factor' - the view!!!, the layout, 12th floor, the facilities, and the Beach. Our search ended! We're happy, the kids are happy.
