This is a new, custom home with modern design and sensibilities inside and out. The two bedrooms are designed with privacy and space in mind, and each have a dedicated bathroom. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are in one great room, yet still feel like distinct areas. Gather around north facing patio in the mornings: the east facing patio in the afternoon, or the 5'x5' granite kitchen countertop in the evening. Every room feels big, and the home feels so much more spacious than its listed 1690 square feet. +

Property location is perfect, the house is very well done and comfortable. The only drawback was the heat. There is no way to keep the house cool. We shut all the windows during the day but frequently walked in to 87 degrees inside in the evening. In today’s day and age invest in some mini splits.

This home was the perfect place for us to recharge as a family. It had a very well-stocked kitchen, the property had spectacular views. It was close to everything and we shopped at Cid's grocery (recommended by host) and they had Taos made coffee, spices, chiles, butcher, organic items. It was also the perfect home base after hiking. It was nice to also do laundry before the second leg of our trip so we didn't have to pack as much. We saw all the stars in the evening and the home was temperate in early May! Thank you for providing us a beautiful, cozy space as we explored Taos for the very first time.

Wonderful zen house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures of the house don't do it justice. And the views are amazing, as the listing says. We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay there. It was difficult to discern the house layout from the photos, so I'll try to describe it here. We liked the large, well-designed kitchen, which is at the front of the house, and across from the guest bedroom, bath, and laundry room. At the back of the house, to the left of the big sliding glass doors in the living room, are the primary bedroom, a walk-in closet, and the primary bath. (The bathrooms are next to the bedrooms, but are not ensuite.)If I have any complaint (and it's a very minor one), it would have been nice to have more plates and glasses, as we had to run the dishwasher more often than we would, ordinarily. It was unseasonably warm in Taos when we were there, but the house stayed relatively comfortable, despite having no a/c. We just closed all the windows by 9:30am, and let it cool off again in the evening. We plan to return for another couple of weeks next year.

Secluded, Serene, Beautiful

Modern yet cozy, open floor plan. Worked great for just one couple, but the open plan would have been great for a family or additional couple. Beautiful views, neighbors are not close and not noticeable. Highly recommend, we will book again. Thank you.

Immaculate home and well appointed. No air conditioning but once the windows were open it was very comfortable during the day and perfect in the evening. Beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Will be coming back!

This is a beautiful house. With some of the best views, you could possibly have of the area around El Prado. The location makes it easy to see the Taos and it surroundings. I can’t imagine how the house could have been any better. The floor to near ceiling windows allow for viewing of the desert surrounding us. A sanctuary in the desert. It was really beautiful. Very thankful to the host for providing such a nice facility.

The home provides a warm and inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. The living room offered spectacular views of the mountains. We enjoyed sitting in front of the windows having our morning coffee and watching the sun rise. The spacious layout of the home allowed for plenty of light to filter in, creating a serene and peaceful ambiance throughout the house.One of the highlights of our stay was the comfort of the beds and heated floors. After a day of exploring the beautiful landscapes of Taos, sinking into those plush beds was pure bliss. Overall, this lovely home is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Taos.
