This four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home with four king beds will comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests, so bring the whole family!

Why choose between the beach and a pool? Carpe Diem has both! Swim in your own private, screened-in heated swimming pool or head just 125 hundred steps to the private, friendly beach.

The home contains bed & bath linens, a garden tub, hardwood floors…great care, and attention to detail – it provides a beautiful vacation! We pride ourselves on cleanliness and assure you of an extremely clean and inviting home upon arrival so that you may relax and enjoy your visit! There are a wide variety of amenities, including a Freezer, Microwave, Ice Maker, Oven, Ceiling Fans, Refrigerator, Wi-Fi access, Coffee Maker, Keurig, Cooking Range, Televisions, Cookware, Dish Washer, Utensils, Washer and Dryer, a Wet Bar, and much more.

The house is two levels, with beautiful landscaping outside and wonderfully decorated on the inside!

One hundred twenty-five steps to the beach from an easy path on one side and a 2-minute walk to the Inter-coastal Waterway on the other. This quiet but hip area of Vilano/North Beach is famous for surfing, paddle boarding, fishing, shark teeth hunting, and much more. You can walk, bike, or drive to many great restaurants within minutes. Our comfortable home is a 5-minute drive to the fun & activity-filled oldest town in America, St. Augustine! The Vilano Beach pier is a 2-minute car drive away (or a 40-minute beach walk), where you'll find a Publix Grocery Store and a mini outdoor mall. A local Post Office, Bait & Gear store, a boat rental facility and gas dock, a local pub, and more restaurants near and on the Intercoastal beach are in the same area. It is a 20-minute drive to the home of the PGA at TPC Sawgrass and a 2.5-hour drive to Disney World.

For an additional $200/week or less, the pool can be heated to a maximum of 84 degrees. Pool heat must be added to your reservation at least 48 hours before arrival. Please note that we do not heat the pool from Memorial Day through mid-September.

Siblings vacation

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Four master bedrooms, very clean and comfortable. The pool is small, but that was not a problem for us. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location

This property was spacious and super close to the beach. Bedrooms were a good size and there was plenty of room for everyone. It was in a nice neighborhood. This didn't bother our stay but we believe there may be some electrical issues...lights flickered in the kitchen some and one of my outlets didn't work in the mother in law suite bedroom and the washer had some issues with our first load of laundry. The pics of the pool were a little deceiving. It was pretty small. Overall though, we would definitely stay here again. My family really enjoyed it. The property manager was super helpful and had great communication.

Wonderful vacation!

Everything we needed for a very nice week with family. Short walk to the beach, pool, and plenty of room to move around in the house. The house was clean and that’s always a plus for me. I do need to say that the neighbors were so nice to us, very friendly and helpful. We ask the lady next door about a good place to eat seafood and she sure did! Just a short drive to a place called Aunt Kates, we ate there twice. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

Fabulous Beach Oasis

Carpe Diem was such a great place to stay. The house is beautiful, everything worked great, convenient walk to the beach. Cute neighborhood and they had everything we needed. The pool is on the smaller side, but it was perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a great property, nice and clean. Everything from the appliances to the bathrooms worked great. It is a very short walk to the beach, and we had a great time!

Great house for a great vacation!

We all loved it! There was lots to do including ocean, pool, shopping and sight-seeing. Good restaurants are plentiful. The house provided an excellent location for everything and was fully equipped with large rooms to make our stay extremely comfortable. We appreciated the recliners in the family room and the large TV. Very nice accommodations!

Great family house

Great house, great time! The layout of the house — with all the shared spaces on the ground floor and all bedrooms upstairs — was convenient and well thought-out. We had all the room we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Spring break

Contact with the property management was outstanding! They returned my messages super fast. Even though it was in a neighbor hood off the beach it took us less time walking to the beach than if we were in a condo on the beach. Easy crossing A1A to beach walkover. No stairs. Beach is not crowded and is a paradise for finding shells. This house is large so you won't be bumping in to each other. Great time with family.

Daughter's Wedding

We rented this house for my daughter's wedding at tge Lightener Museum. My parents and my sisters joined us. The house was perfect with every bedroom having it's own bathroom. The pool was also a hut with my niece and nephews. Would absolutely stay again.

Fantastic Fall Vacation

The house was great. Very clean and well appointed for a beach getaway. Short walk to the beach. Short drive to historic St Augustine. Reaxing and so much fun!

Beware before you book this property!

We selected this property over several others because it was spacious, we had 8 guests, some were not couples. We also liked the fact that it had a pool and beach access and parking. We planned to spend several days enjoying the beach. This did not happen, we had to drive to a different beach. Much to our disappointment, this property has several misleading items in the listing. Beach access is a joke. You must side step down a sand slope of about 10 feet or climb multiple stairs over A1A carrying beach supplies, your wagon and ice chests, it was a nightmare! The pool is tiny with sand debris. The bed rooms were all ok with the exception of the pull out sofa beds. You will be sleeping on springs and no sheets to fit. One bedroom had the carpet tacks exposed at the bathroom doorway. One guest cut her foot entering. We placed a throw rug over the tacks to prevent future injuries. Roaches and spiders where throughout the house. Spray service did spray, but to no avail. Fan & lights were broken. The master bathroom had mold in the grout lines, we were told that the grout was discolored. The garage had a strong mildew smell. We attempted to air it out. The a/c was out for 2 nights with temperatures reaching 88, it was unbearable. Many amenities are misleading. Just beware, read all the reviews, the property is not well managed or maintained. These issues were not addressed during our stay. As well as others. We were not offered comp for even 1 night. Very dissatisfied!

Trip to St Augustine

Property was great! We were there for a friends wedding. Shared the house with another family. Plenty of room. Layout of house was great and met our needs. Loved the location. Short walk to beach and about 10-15 minutes to downtown St Augustine.

A Great Time Was Had By All The Family

House was clean and had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone in our group. Four Large bedrooms, each with it's own ensuite bathroom, each had their own TV plus a HUGE TV in the family room. Lots of seating at dining room and kitchen tables with stools at a bar counter in the kitchen. Pool was very small but screen enclosed porch was lovely this time of year, lots of seating there also. Only complaint I have was the liquid hand soap in the bathroom we used wasn't just soap it was very watered down, didn't feel like my hands got clean when I washed them. Feel like I'm being petty mentioning that but thought maybe the owners didn't know maybe the cleaning service did this. I think it was only in the one bathroom. We had one maintenance issue, that was resolved in a timely manner. Sandy at First Choice was great to work with and answered all our questions promptly. We had a wonderful time and if we need this large of a house again we would definitely stay at Carpe Diem. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Vilano Beach vacation

The house, location and communication with property management were all excellent. The only cautionary comment that I have is regarding the size of the pool. If there are children involved, please note that the pool is quite small. However, the property is directly across the street from an ocean beach. All and all, very nice accommodations.

Overall nice property

Property wasn't quite as described. Although, it is a short walk to the beach- you do have to cross a 55mph highway to get to the beach (this was a little difficult for older members of our group & a bit dangerous for younger ones). We had a group of 14 family members with us. The 2 futons are actually very uncomfortable pull-out couches in 2 different living rooms & the 2 twin beds are rollaway beds. We had plenty of towels, but ran out of toilet paper halfway through the week with 14 people using bathrooms. They only supplied us with 1 extra roll in each bathroom. Also, lots of extra pillows, but no pillow cases. My suggestions to the home owner would be to supply a few 'extras' ie: extra toilet paper, paper towel, zip lock bags, more blankets, throw blankets, games, pillow cases, a binder with pamphlets of things to do in St. Augustine & restaurants would have been extremely helpful. Overall a fine experience, we never had any major issues that we needed to contact anyone about. Check in/out was very easy.

Perfect size and location

I rented this house for my whole family to stay, 12 of us, and we never felt crowded or smushed. We had plenty of room. The beach is right across the road, which was super easy to get too. We really enjoyed our stay. The only problem was the oven went on the fritz in the evening, but the company called me back first thing the next day. We would definitely stay here again’
