Downtown Jackson Hole - Walk to Town Square - Teton Views!

Bedrooms 5
Property type house

About the property

Perfect location! 5 Bedrooms/4 Bath

*Unit cannot be rented for less than 31 days nor can occupancy be restricted for less than 31 days per town and county regulations.

The Upside Down Lodge is a lovely new home built into a forested hillside on the slopes of Snow King Mountain near downtown Jackson. Aproned by green lawns, wildflowers and thick forest, the property is very quiet and private. The home is fully and beautifully updated, with high quality furnishings and comforting decor. Outside you will find the hot tub. Perfect for a soak after a long day on the slopes or for a cool summer evening after a day on the hiking trails.

Extraordinary in its design, the house is accessed via a bridge extending from the road. From the entryway, the house drops one level to the main floor. Here you find a professional kitchen, main living room with wood burning fireplace, dining room and upper level deck. Down the hallway is the master suite with king size bed and a guest room with a queen.

One more flight down and you reach a large second living and game room. This is the perfect set up for the kids. A ping pong table, full media system including a Nintendo Wii and game table will keep them entertained to no end. Down the hall are three additional guest rooms, one with a king size bed, one with two twins and the other with a bunk bed (lower full, upper twin).

The town of Jackson is quickly and easily accessible from here - the downtown area, the rodeo, the Teton County Fair. And yet the property is a true sanctuary, screened with trees, blessed with fresh mountain air. The steep rise of Snow King Mountain is just moments away. Enjoy skiing, both day and night, sledding, hiking, biking, horseback riding, on this nearby recreational playground.

Guestbook comments from the manager

The Upside Down House was amazing, the house and views were beautiful and the location was fantastic. You could see the Tetons and Elk Refuge right from the house and could get on the trails a minute outside the door. The house was beautiful and Cabin and Company was fantastic to work with. The only problem was the house was so nice, we didn't want to leave!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in the Upside Down Lodge. Tom Hedges was a joy to work with. The house was immaculate, comfortably furnished and really could not have been better.

Family vacation - Grand Teton

  • 5 of 5

My extended family of 9 (6 adults and 3 kids) stayed at the Upside Down Lodge last week and had an absolutely marvelous time. The home is gorgeous, and we had more than enough room. The home could have accommodated a couple more people easily.

We made good use of the table tennis and tvs, dvd and hot tub. The kitchen was well-outfitted and there were plenty of nice quality linens, towels, paper supplies, etc. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The owner was easy to reach when we had one or 2 questions.

The view was stunning and it was so close to town that everything in Jackson and also in the Grand Teton National Park was easy to reach. We are already talking about going back. Highly recommend it!

Note Yellowstone is a bit far away although lower loop is doable in a long day trip if you start early.

Family Christmas Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Not only was the property description accurate, it surpassed my expectations.! Beautiful home with attention to the smallest details. Spotless, spacious, comfortable, best time we have ever had! I would definitely recommend it to my friends and other family members. Some attractions we enjoyed while there were the sleigh ride into the elk refuge (complete with a beautiful snowfall), skiing at Teton Village, snowmobiles into Yellowstone National Park, among others. We also enjoyed dining at several restaurants and sampling the local cuisine. My grandsons have asked that this be a family tradition every year!

Great cabin for a family or group ski trip

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was fantastic. I organized a group of 10 adults for a snowboarding trip, and we had plenty of room for lounging, cooking, sleeping, and recreation in this cabin. We all felt like the cabin was much bigger than it appeared in the pictures on, and having two large living rooms was great for times when one group wanted to watch a movie and another wanted to play ping pong and watch football. The kitchen was well-equipped and all of the appliances were like new.

There is a nice little hill outside for sledding and the property runs right up to the woods. We even saw a couple of nice sized mule deer wandering through the back yard one morning. It is about a 10 minute drive to all of the restaurants and bars in Jackson, and about 30 minutes from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. I would recommend this cabin to anyone I know, and I will certainly book this property again if I return to Jackson with a group this size. The property management team was helpful and prompt. The cabin was clean and comfortable.
