About the host
Hosted by Carolyn Regan
We’re Mark and Carolyn, and Scituate has been part of our lives for decades. Carolyn grew up summering here, and we’ve been spending our summers in Scituate together since the 1990s—first with extended family, and later raising our own children here.
We now live in Scituate year-round and take great pride in caring for this home and hosting families who want to experience a true New England summer. This isn’t just a rental to us—it’s a place filled with memories, traditions, and the simple joys of time by the ocean.

Why they chose this property
Third Cliff has always felt special. It’s peaceful, welcoming, and deeply connected to the water. We love being able to step outside and walk straight onto the Spit, watch the tides change, and enjoy the rhythm of ocean life throughout the day.
The neighborhood is quiet and family-oriented, yet just minutes from Scituate Harbor’s restaurants, shops, and ice cream spots. It’s the perfect balance of privacy and convenience—relaxed, coastal, and unmistakably Scituate.

What makes this property unique
This home offers something that’s increasingly rare: true oceanfront living with private beach access in one of Scituate’s most sought-after neighborhoods. The views are expansive, the beach is just steps away, and the setting is calm enough for families to truly unwind.
The house itself is a quintessential summer home—light-filled, comfortable, and thoughtfully updated for modern living, with central air, linens provided, and plenty of space for gathering both indoors and out. Most of all, it’s a home designed for connection—morning coffee on the deck, long beach days, shared meals, and evenings watching the sun set over the water.
