Clean, close, and very nice!

Great place for enjoying Austin. Right off South Congress, with everything there within walking distance. The amenities were all top notch, and Kris's advice on where to go and what to do was spot on. Thanks Nan!

Great location and an accomodating host.

  • 5 of 5

My fiancée and I traveled to Austin for the F1 weekend. The loft is located just off South Congress, about a $20 Uber ride from the airport. We arrived several hours before check-in, but Nan let us drop off our luggage so that we could go out to lunch and walk around S. Congress. She notified us as soon as the property was cleaned and ready and gave us a brief walkthrough along with some suggestions on places to see and eat.

The loft was clean, well-maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. The mini fridge was stocked with a bottle of champagne and some beer/water. There were also snacks and a small amount of dishware. Just outside and down the stairs is a fenced-in common area that is shared with the adjacent loft that features seating and some shade. We didn't see or hear anyone in the adjacent loft during our stay.

Going out to eat/shop was very easy due to the proximity to S. Congress. There are numerous restaurants and shops within a few minute walk from the loft. Magnolia Cafe and Guero's are both well-priced and serve great food. Downtown is walkable or you can get there by Uber for about $7.

We used Uber to get to and from COTA on Friday/Saturday and the price was $25-$30 each way. Uber prices did spike significantly on Sunday, but I think it was because it had rained early in the morning and we were trying to get to the track during late morning at peak times. If you are going to COTA, wear comfortable shoes and beware that you may have to walk on dirt/gravel to get to your seating area.

On check-out day we contacted Nan to see if we could leave our bags on site while we went out for lunch since we weren't flying out of Austin until late afternoon. She accommodated us again and gave us samples of her husband's homebrew that many other reviewers have mentioned. She was a great host.

We plan on returning to Austin in the future and won't hesitate to try to book this property again if it is available.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

This apt was very clean and in a super location. It is small, with a queen bed and a futon. Walking distance to so many things. I enjoyed having a car to visit all the areas of Austin. Owner was very nice about us getting in late and leaving late.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay. Nan was great in our communications with her. We had a car to get around but liked walking to the many restaurants close by. The apartment was comfortable, clean and met our needs.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great response time, communication from owner who greeted us upon arrival with a beer and some great suggestions for dining, entertainment. Place was clean and well kept, location was perfect, you could be pedestrian for the most part and bus lines to downtown are half block away.

Great host, lovely space, convenient location

  • 5 of 5

Loft was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Nan, the host was just wonderful. She was easy to contact and responsive. Arrival went incredibly smoothly and she was very accommodating of our late departure on the day of checkout. The location was fabulous, right off south congress, steps from bars, shops, and restaurants - but the loft itself was quiet and peaceful, a great place to return to at the end of a long day. Would definitely stay here again.
