The Space:

We're one block from Heavenly's California Lodge. Our guests walk to the tram carrying their ski gear — it's as close to ski-in/ski-out as South Lake Tahoe gets without being on-resort.



Our recently remodeled home sits in a quiet residential neighborhood backed by US Forest Service land. Towering pines. No traffic noise (just the sound of your family arguing over bocce.



The yard is the centerpiece: our private hot tub under the trees, a regulation bocce ball court, fire pit, natural gas grill, and a kids' play structure — all exclusively yours.



Inside, the open-plan living area features a gas fireplace, slate flooring, and a gourmet kitchen with concrete counters and alder cabinetry. Send the kids up to the game loft (foosball, large flat screen) while you cook dinner or soak in the hot tub from the back deck overlooking the forest.



We're local contractor-owners — our response times are fast, and we pride ourselves in our local knowledge.

Wonderful property walking distance to ski lifts. Property was clean and fresh (not old and tired like some mountain retreats I've stayed in), well stocked kitchen (all the equipment you need to cook in). Great hot tub in good working order. Excellent host, very easy to communicate, very responsive. My husband and I along with our grown kids and their spouses all agree it would be a place we'd return to.

We had a great time with our young adult kids! The property is walking distance to the base of the mountain where we rented our skis and left them there free of charge. The house was clean and very well equipped. We dined out but also cooked at home, there is no noise at all, I recommend this rental!! 😊

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 days at this beautiful home. The kids loved all of the games - indoors and outdoors. We used the hot tub each evening, and there is no house behind so it felt very private. Same feeling for the upper deck for morning coffee. It was also really great to have 3 bathrooms, since we had 3 families, we each had our own! The little details were wonderful; a gift basket on arrival, plush robes in each bedroom, a fully stocked kitchen, games, and movies. And the owner was very responsive when we needed to contact him, and his daughter was adorable! We would love to return to this home away from home! Thank you!

We took our son and his family with us for our first vacation at Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed some hiking and sightseeing and a day at one of the beaches. It’s off season and with Covid there wasn’t much happening in the town, but we mostly just wanted a place to be together as family. We had a 4 year old and an 18 month old with us and the house had the child safety gates, booster seat and pack and play. The kids loved the play set in the backyard and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed as we cooked all our own meals (covid again) and we were very comfortable with the house and the neighborhood . The owner answered our questions and we were very satisfied with this rental. Thanks Duggan.

Love this place!!

This place was such a great house for my family! The kids absolutely loved the backyard! It also offered nice separation with a bed and bath downstairs and my hubby and I and the kids were upstairs. The location is beautiful! You are able to see heavenly mountain from the backyard. This backyard is the perfect spot to relax. It has a nice bbq deck, hot tub, swing set for kids, monkey ball and a bocce ball court. I definitely want to bring my family back to this wonderful family home!

Can’t wait to come back!

This property suited our trip perfectly! Took a guys trip in early December to South Lake for some snowboarding and winter festivities. This house’s location was very convenient for us - easy to navigate, <5 min drive to Lake Tahoe Blvd, walking distance to Heavenly California lodge/lifts. Place was clean and orderly, outdoor patio area was great and would be perfect in summer for a family trip with kids! Comfy beds and the living room couch might be the most comfortable thing I’ve ever sat on (esp after a long day on the mountain)! Duggan communicated effectively and responded promptly to texts, although I only really texted him once on our last day to tell him we had a blast and were checking out. Overall, highly recommended and I plan to come stay here again in the future! Maybe a summer trip next....

Great location summer and winter

For skiers, you can't get any closer to Heavenly Ski Resort. For summer travelers, you are a short drive to the lake, casinos, shops and restaurants. Property is well laid out with a bathroom for each bedroom. Our family loved it and we will definitely come back.

I cannot say I have ever been in a more thoughtful rental home. Stayed in a bunch over the years. Beautiful home utilizing space amazingly well. Lots of little touches in and outside the home with welcome basket, robes, tons of dishes , hot drinks of all variety, multiple viewing TV options, extra blankets. Working hot tub is alway an issues and yours was large, hot and clean! Even the baby gates/pack and plays are great and I have no wee ones :) Would be easy to stay here for weeks and really not need anything other than food. We are buying a ski home and I will take some lessons from you! Thanks for sharing your amazing place.

Incredibly well-stocked rental unit

Our stay with two families (5 adults) was great. Location is an easy walk to California Base Tram at Heavenly Ski area, even with ski boots on, in 4 ft of snow. Owner came out and cleared driveway each day there was heavy snowfall. Kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and utensils, even many common kitchen spices. Hot tub was perfect after a day skiing, and the closets held four heavy bathrobes for the walk around the deck to the hot tub. Certainly one of the most well outfitted rental units we've ever experienced in many years of VRBO. Would recommend it for anyone wanting to ski the Heavenly resort, and we will try to stay there again on our next visit to South Lake Tahoe.

Another Great Experience!

There was one foot of snow from the night before and I was preparing to dig out our car. By the time I came out, the drive way was already plowed and snow was brushed off my car...this is why we stayed here! Attention to details and making a wonderful experience for us. All of the other reviews are correct...5 stars! We are definitely coming back. By the way, I have coming to Lake Tahoe for over 30 years and now I am sharing memories with my children. I hope you are able to defeat Measure T and continue short term vacation rentals for everyone to enjoy Lake Tahoe. Thank you Duggan for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

I came to Tahoe on vacation from Australia in 1998 and was immediately smitten. In fact I moved here permanently ten years ago and have been loving it ever since. I am lucky enough to teach snowboarding at Heavenly each winter and work in construction during the summer. My wife Angela and I feel very lucky to be able to raise our two kids in this amazing outdoor playground.

Why they chose this property

We fell into the vacation rental business in 2010 after buying a house together with my mum, so Granny would have a place to stay when visiting our kids. Its been a great combination of my passions for real estate, construction and customer service. Location is everything for this house, immediate access to skiing, hiking and biking, incredibly quiet but just a couple of minutes to the center of the action. I gutted this house completely and rebuilt it with a new layout optimizing the space.
