We didn’t have heat the first couple nights. Even when the heat was turned on the split boards upstairs did not work. The dishwasher didn’t work. The bathroom shower is broken, and one of the beds was really uncomfortable. Also, the Wi-Fi password is incredibly inappropriate. The host responded to some of my messages, but not all and was slow to respond when he did. He also promised a partial refund because of the lack of heat and I haven’t heard anything yet.

Plenty of room for the whole family. There were wonderful fruit trees all over the property. It is an old house so there were some quirks. One of the bathtubs didn’t work, water sprayed out of a pinhole leak in the downstairs bathroom every time you turned the sink on and the cleanliness was a bit questionable. Overall, none of these things affected us negatively and we had a good time.

A few of my friends decided to have our own small 50th class reunion. They chose to come to Mt. Shasta and stay here. We were comfortable and happy with the house overall, but there were a few issues with cleanliness. Brandon was always quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Worked for our group! This is a big, old house conveniently located walking distance from downtown Mt Shasta. Plenty of space for a large group, and a nice front porch. We were a group of 9: 3 couples, 2 individuals & a baby. Guests should be aware the house is sparsely furnished & pretty rough around the edges structurally. If you are looking for prisitine, this is not the place for you - the place has definitely seen better days & clearly needs some upgrades/TLC. That being said, the house is fairly priced for the quality and made a great home base for our not-so-picky crew. We’d stay again!

Not what I expected

It was nothing like it looked online. There was only one sitting area. And it could only seat 5 people. The other setting room was turned into a band room with guitars and drums. There was no downstairs bedroom. There is no way that place could sleep 10 people The way it is set up right now. 2 of the 3 beds upstairs had no top sheets on the beds. The bedrooms had no dressers to put clothes away. 2 of the bedrooms didn't even have a chair. You could sit in to get dressed. There was lots of vinyl records, but no player to play them on. The kitchen could have had more Amenities like a can opener. A pitcher that you could make iced tea in. There were no appropriate chairs to put out on the porch for sitting in the evening and warnings. Both garbages were full when we got there. The recycle and the regular trash. I did speak to Brandon about the issues we were having. He basically said he hoped we could find some kind of enjoyment in the place. He was nice but I was still pretty disappointed. I would not stay there again. Or recommend it.

Amazing stay

This historical house is gorgeous and well maintained. It has a real old world feel to it, yet very comfortable. Location is absolutely superb - within an easy walk from downtown restaurants, and very close to skiing areas.We had a wonderful time.
