Overview

About the property

1 bedroom with spa inspired bathroom

Mid-century apartment well preserved with recent renovation. Interior designer and stone mason owners display their talent to include spa inspired bathroom with turkish travertine shower, vanity, and mosaic heated floor. Designer colors and furnishings create a comfortable environment throughout the lovely unit. The bedroom's queen size bed is well appointed with a Sealy Posturepedic Euro Pillow Top mattress, custom upholstered headboard, down comforter, down pillows, high thread count sheets. The living room chaise lounge sofa is perfect for reading or viewing 42'' plasma TV. Small dining room table will also serve nicely as a desk. Kitchen has original red tile with newer appliances and the simple basics for cooking at home. The apartment unit is situated on the back side of a 4 unit apartment building with tall fence to create a courtyard setting and private entrance. Large windows bring in an abundance of light and great view of courtyard garden.

One of the charms of this property is that it is in a quiet neighborhood for a city location. As much as we want our guests to have a good time, please be aware this is not a party pad. The sofa is not intended for additional sleeping guests and additional bedding is not provided.

Central Wallingford location. Close to Stone Way for bus lines to downtown, etc. Stone Way starts at Lake Union and goes north to Greenlake and is quickly becoming a hot new street with new restaurants and shopping. Near Gasworks Park, Burke Gilman Trail, Fremont, The Troll, Woodland Park Zoo, 2 miles to Husky stadium and University of Washington. Business travelers will find this a convenient location to software, internet, and biotech companies located in Fremont and South Lake Union. Also convenient for visitors of the University House retirement community.

About Randy & Teri Erickson

My husband grew up visiting his grandmother in this small apartment building. We moved in as newlyweds in 1996 in this one bedroom unit. We called it the ''honeymoon suite''. Over a decade of managing the units as long term rentals, we decided to furnish units and offer as furnished short term rentals.

Randy & Teri Erickson purchased this apartment in 2000

Why Randy & Teri Erickson chose Seattle

Close to busy Wallingford, Fremont, Lake Union, Greenlake & the University of Washington. Quick and easy access to downtown. Tucked away in the Wallingford neighborhood. It is a short street with low traffic volume, therefore is a nice quiet location.

What makes this apartment unique

Since my husband's grandmother was the original owner; we have lovingly cared for this mid-century structure. We are both in the design & construction industry and have applied personal touches.

A classic garden level apartment in a quaint neighborhood with easy access to everything.

Nicely updated fixtures in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to anything you want to do.

Close to the waterfront, easy access to the highways and a great home base for exploring Seattle and the Puget Sound area.

The furniture could use an upgrade and a dehumidifier might help with the mustiness.

Comfortable with a great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property for three nights, and were very pleased with it. The location was convenient, although parking was a bit of an issue and most nearby restaurants were a little bit of a hike, but it was close to I-5 and there was a lot within half a mile or so. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable, and everything we needed was easy to find. The bathroom was small, but really nice. The shower and the heated floors were a really nice bonus.

The apartment itself is in a building with a few other units, and this one is partially underground. Even so, there were a lot of windows and a lot of natural light, and there were enough plants that it still felt private even with the blinds open partway.

We didn't really use the kitchen, and it would probably be a little cramped for any serious cooking. But it had all the basics and was more than sufficient for what we needed.

We'll definitely look to see if this place is available the next time we plan a trip to Seattle.

Fantastic stay. Will definitely be back!

  • 5 of 5

This property is amazing. Other than our own bed, we have never slept in another bed so comfortable. Very clean property with so many nice touches, from the heated bathroom floor to the great bed linens. Nice quiet neighborhood within walking distance to some great little restaurants. We chose to use Uber to get around and it was literally only 12 minutes to downtown. Great stay and highly recommend. Randy was fantastic. Met us when we checked in and walked us through how everything worked.
