About Garnett Hundley

I live in the main part of this house - renting out the two separate apartments. I enjoy meeting new people and take great pleasure in being able to share this part of the country with others. There's so much to do here you'll have to come back time and time again to see it all.

Check out my other property, same location - 364168.

Garnett Hundley purchased this apartment in 1987

Why Garnett Hundley chose Wallingford

I bought my house in 1987. Once I toured this neighborhood, I knew it was for me. The mother-in-law apartment was part of the house when I moved in - and has provided opportunity for 'sharing the wealth' all these years.

What makes this apartment unique

You'll be able to look out the back kitchen window at the lovely garden, close the curtains for a quiet and peaceful sleep in the bedroom, enjoy the bright sun and park-view from the living area. If the day is warm, open the divided-light porch windows and let the breeze blow in the scents of the flowers and trees that surround this charming property.

Close location to all downtown attractions and mostly quiet neighborhood.

Wish the house was a little cleaner. Toilet did not look like it was cleaned nor did some of the surfaces (refrigerator, etc). On street parking was available except for one day during a school graduation that was located right across the street. Had to park a few blocks away.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I was your cleaner for the day and I apologize if I missed something. Unfortunately for the porcelain toilet bowl, my silver bracelets leave little marks on the bowl if my gloves slide down. It's certainly not unclean - but I've yet found something that will remove the marks. I'll persevere. A guest used a solvent on the counter at some point, and some of the surface is slightly altered - not dirty; a different texture. I hope to make everyone's visit over-the-top, so I'll just have to try harder.

Wonderful Honeymoon Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My shiny new husband and I stayed at Garnett’s adorable cottage for the first three nights in Seattle prior to our Alaskan Cruise. It was PERFECT. We were immediately greeted by her welcoming garden kitties and later by Garnett who was around but never in an intrusive way. Just a pleasant visitor and provider of a fan on an uncomfortably warm night.

We were walking distance to wonderful shops and our new favorite restaurant, Julia’s! Seriously... try the corned beef hash!! Sitting in the garden writing Thank You cards with a kitty on my lap and a cup of coffee was my every morning. Driving into the downtown area was never more than 15 minuets. It was all amazing and exactly what we wanted.

Garnett provided a binder answering any question you may have. About the house, neighborhood, restaurants, shops... etc. If you go to the store for groceries please notice she gives you a shopping card on your key! That was a nice touch.

Looking forward to another visit, Garnett. Thank you for being a lovely part of our Honeymoon

Wonderful location -

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, cozy apartment, walking distance close to Wallingford shops, grocery stores and restaurants and buses to everywhere else. A really great location, behind a lovely park WITH on street parking! The house itself is very interesting, one of five originals on the street. Thanks, Garnett, for leaving the Seattle craftsmen house book out, I really enjoyed it. Would love to return in the spring and enjoy the gardens, but did enjoy the Christmas snow!
