About Garnett Hundley

I live in the main part of this house - renting out the two separate apartments. I enjoy meeting new people and take great pleasure in being able to share this part of the country with others. There's so much to do here you'll have to come back time and time again to see it all.

Check out my other property, same location - 364168.

Why Garnett Hundley chose Wallingford

I bought my house in 1987. Once I toured this neighborhood, I knew it was for me. The mother-in-law apartment was part of the house when I moved in - and has provided opportunity for 'sharing the wealth' all these years.

What makes this apartment unique

You'll be able to look out the back kitchen window at the lovely garden, close the curtains for a quiet and peaceful sleep in the bedroom, enjoy the bright sun and park-view from the living area. If the day is warm, open the divided-light porch windows and let the breeze blow in the scents of the flowers and trees that surround this charming property.

Wonderful location -

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, cozy apartment, walking distance close to Wallingford shops, grocery stores and restaurants and buses to everywhere else. A really great location, behind a lovely park WITH on street parking! The house itself is very interesting, one of five originals on the street. Thanks, Garnett, for leaving the Seattle craftsmen house book out, I really enjoyed it. Would love to return in the spring and enjoy the gardens, but did enjoy the Christmas snow!

An arty apartment in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Garnett’s apartment is in the Wallingford neighborhood in Seattle. There are restaurants and shops a couple blocks away and across the street is a park and a school. It is a classic Seattle bungalow house that is filled with her art collection. You can feel a part of one of the best neighborhoods in Seattle while living in a quiet and cozy home.

Delightful, charming, fun and cheerful

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful home. The apartment is clean and perfectly appointed. We felt so comfortable and at ease whether hanging out for awhile or coming and going in the neighborhood and downtown. The queen bed is incredibly comfortable and bed linens are high quality. Kitchen is well stocked and it was fun to find little ponchos provided in case of rain. Garnett has covered all the important bases to make this a great place to stay. Parking nearby is a breeze. This is a great place for two people. There were three of us for a few days. A small comfortable chair would be a welcome addition to the living room while others are sitting on the couch. Not a deal breaker at all. Heartily recommended, and I look forward to returning.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. AND, thank you for the suggestion of a "small, comfortable chair" - no one has asked for one before, but I'll definitely find the perfect, comfy chair to add to the living room. Thank you. Please come back whenever possible.

A peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our week in this lovely and historic home. As others have noted, the apartment is wonderfully quiet and artistically decorated. The kitchen has everything we needed to make basic meals at home. The bedroom is cozy and comfortable, and the sitting area bright and fairly large. The location was great for us, as first-time visitors to the city. We walked every day a couple blocks to the express bus downtown to see the sights, and we loved "coming home" to the beautiful garden and outdoor kitties. Thank you, Garnett!
