Tiny bit over a mile walk to downtown.
Large windows face large oak trees. A long deck perfect for morning coffee, encompasses the entire front of the place.
Beautiful yellow pine floors throughout the unit.
A queen size bed is in the bedroom. In the front living room is a sofa bed.

Thanks a bunch for the review. I have walked and biked from my house to ACL’s Zilker Park numerous times before. There is a big spring feed pool onsite that is lots of fun as well. Some of the neighbors’ yards along the route can be particularly unique and/or gorgeous depending on the flowers in bloom.

Great location, great host, great little spot. I will say in 2025 the host needs to have working WI-FI and entertainment such as a smart T.V. Maybe an Alexa for music Etc… we loved the stay and would return for sure, but just know the Wi-fi does not work, and if you want to watch your team in the playoffs or the re run of the f1 race, or cuddle up and watch Netflix. There is basically no T.V. Compatible.

Great Getaway!

Was in Austin for the F1 race and stayed at the garage treehouse apt. Kirk is a great host who made everything easy with our stay! The place was exactly what we were looking for and I would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Austin.

In town for US Gran Prix

Great host. The accommodations were exactly as listed. Great neighborhood, no problem with parking which can be a major headache in Austin. We would definitely stay there again.

Wedding trip to Austin

Fantastic Location!

Kirk was very kind and the place was amazing! Everything looked like the photos, the location was 5min from most things and there was a beautiful park with a creek just a short walk down the street. Parking is on the street mostly but it was easy to find parking at any point in the day.

Great location, not what we expected

The location and size was just what we needed for our trip. The host was very thorough and communicative. However a little too much communication. The place is above the garage. In the mornings I woke up to the someone playing the drums below us. The bed situation was rough. The futon was so thin we had to fold it in half so my friend didn’t feel the metal bars. It could’ve been much cleaner. The sheets and towels were rough and old. The towels had stains on them as well. There was dust everywhere and the kitchen items were dirty and disorganized. It worked out for what we needed, and would’ve appreciated what felt like a little more effort for what we paid for.

Thank you very much for your review. I am saddened and unhappy you didn’t find the place wonderful. I would like to address your concerns if I may please. A. Communication: I found your friend’s profession, a seaplane pilot intriguing, and spoke too much of it. I do apologize. B. Garage drums: I am perplexed by the drums. I do not play drums nor own drums. And no one else has access. I know of no drums in the area. In the park downhill there has been a saxophone player, but I’ve never heard drums and never at an inappropriately time. A possible explanation would be your stay was during our Austin City Limits (ACL) festival, soundcheck begins around 11 AM??? C. Futon: thank you it has been replaced. D. Sheets: you are correct they have been replaced. E. Towels:: I checked all the towels and wash cloths in the bright sun. I could find no stains. However, all towels have been replaced. There are, however, numerous cleaning towels underneath the kitchen sink next to the cleaning supplies and yes, those are stained but clean from the washing machine. F. Dust: I am guilty here. The place sat empty. You were the first guests for the season. I should have foreseen dust accumulation on all surfaces. It has been thoroughly cleaned G. Kitchen: cleaned as in above. Regarding disorganization, I am still trying to come up with something, I do have utensils mixed in with one another. I will look for a skinny organizer for the drawers. Good and Basic

The owner was very communicative, friendly and easy to deal with. The location is good but it is a bit of a walk. to get to Congress Street where are the action is. The accommodation is basic and the cupboards could use some TLC. The fridge is small so don't plan on putting a lot of groceries in it. Be sure to bring your own supplies like shampoo, conditioner and coffee. We had a great time at the F1 race!
