About Tim & Lisa Wightman

We are a family of 8 who love everything about the outdoors. There is no better place to enjoy summer and winter activities than the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Tim & Lisa Wightman purchased this house in 2013

Why Tim & Lisa Wightman chose Mercer

We have been enjoying summer and winter vacations in the Manitowish Waters/Mercer area for over 20 years. We have been looking for the perfect home for our family of 8 to enjoy. When we found Tall Pines, we knew it would be the perfect vacation retreat for our family, friends and future renters.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with the 657 feet of beautiful lake frontage on secluded 2 acres surrounded by tall pine trees. Being at the top of the hill looking down on the lake provides fantastic views.

The house is very comfortable and spacious with plenty of room for a large family.

Guestbook comments from the manager

I have surveyed several sites and probably a few hundred vacation properties. This property, by far, met and exceeded all of my needs. I am looking forward to August!!

Second time renting! Highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time renting this property and it was amazing both times. The first time was in the summer and the second was in the winter. Exceptionally clean and well cared for. It was great we got to enjoy the Christmas decorations throughout the entire house. We will definitely rent this one again!

Lovely home with all the amenities

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over Christmas with our family. The owners surprised us and put up Christmas decorations. I was so happy that they made the home look so festive! It was quite cold outside while we were there so did not partake in all of the winter activities that we had planned to do. We enjoyed games that we brought along and they have a ton of games and books at the home as well. We especially loved the big screen tv and gas fireplace in the basement. The views from the main floor are stunning. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dinnerware, etc. They have a few empty kitchen cabinets as well to store your things, which I appreciate, as I don’t like to live with messy countertops. All in all, a great place and we had a great time.

Outstanding property on a beautiful lake

  • 5 of 5

This rental is just as described. A perfectly maintained newer home on a private peninsula, on Spider Lake near Mercer, WI. This is the second time that we rented this home for good reason. We hope to rent it again next year. Great contact from the owner and care taker. I would definitely recommend this property for fishing, family vacation, or just a quite get away.

This is an amazing home in the Northwoods. Clean, well supplied, beautifully decorated and most importantly very comfortable.

Tim and Lisa run a first class rental and were a pleasure to deal with. They were quick to answer any questions or offer recommendations.

We would definitely rent this property again and would recommend it to anyone (you will not be disappointed).

5 stars no questions asked!

Thanks Tim and Lisa for renting us your beautiful home for our special weekend

First things first, this property is the bomb! Pictures do not do this house justice. The only property that is on a secluded Peninsula and is high end luxury. Beds are super comfortable and have very nice linens. The decorating is UP NORTH themed and classy.

Tim and Lisa were very easy to work with. Both of them helped us with house information and restaurant recommendations. The lake is stunning and has two very different from the deck on the house and one down by the lake.

The property manager, Diana, was pleasant to deal with and was there upon our arrival to show us around the house. The house was very clean and well maintained. We will be back!
