I couldn’t have been more pleased. The cottage is lovely. Everything was clean, the host was efficient from start to finish and the location perfect, as expected. I wanted my children and grand-babies to have an “Old Style” Nags Head experience and they did.
I stayed for two weeks in October. This property was beautiful and clean. The host was very responsive even though I had no issues. The photos of the view don't do it justice. It appears that the view is limited but you do have a nice view of the ocean. Be aware that there are many steps. Access to the beach is very nice and close. I would definitely stay here again.
We loved the character of the 1938 beach house with some of the original things like door latches and tongue and groove board walls, and we loved the location. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom of the main floor bathroom—updating this would be a plus. The sunrise views were gorgeous. There were many steps to the main floor and to the top floor which were challenging for some of our family. The home was nicely decorated with antiques. There was a bulb out in the kitchen ceiling fan, and in one bedroom you couldn’t turn off the light of the ceiling fan—it was all or none. The AC went out one evening of our stay. We reported the outage early on the following day. The host was quick to respond and to communicate but was slow to send an AC technician. It was getting near the end of the day, and 3 of the four bedrooms were on the floor with temperatures of 79 degrees. Finally a technician was sent and repaired the problem in about 30 minutes. It was a good vacation and stay overall.
