About the property

2 Bed, 2 Bath, with Full Kitchen and Scenic Views

Ideally situated on the bank of the Yellowstone river only 4.5 miles from the north entrance to Yellowstone Natl. Park, this cabin allows you to comfortably relax in a peaceful setting after you have enjoyed the marvels of Y.N.P. Everyone will have something to enjoy from the Yellowstone area. There are hundreds of miles of scenery from the valleys, to the peaks and the rivers throughout the area. Paradise Valley, to the north, is only 20 mins away and offers world class flyfishing opportunities. Of course you can simply step out of the backdoor and directly into the Yellowstone River for excellent flyfishing water before or after the May/June runoff. At different times of the year, many of the animals such as the elk, bison, antelope, and even grizzlies from inside the park, make their way out of the park into our own backyard here at the cabin so be alert.

You will find the cabin to be comfortable and relaxing. The bedrooms are spacious and each has its own full bathroom. There is a queen and full bed in each bedroom, with plenty of space for your clothing and gear. The kitchen and living area are adjacent to the covered outdoor patio overlooking the Yellowstone River. A grill is provided for your use, and there is a campfire pit only steps away where many of the community guests gather to share stories of their trips and experiences. There is a washer/dryer in the cabin for your convenience. The weather in Gardiner is suitable enough that the cabin can be utilized throughout the year. This provides all opportunities of enjoyment such as wildlife viewing, fishing, hunting, snow skiing, or just relaxing both inside and outside of the park. I welcome your email or telephone inquiries and questions. I have set the cabin up so that it will enhance your trip (and mine, of course) to the Yellowstone area. Enjoy!

About Mike West

I am a North Carolina native and current resident. I have traveled to the Yellowstone area almost yearly for the past 21 years. Moving to Montana has been a goal of mine for most of that time and I felt it was a great opportunity to begin that process by simply taking the first step. That first step for me was purchasing this cabin. I have numerous memories of these cabins as I have stayed here on several occasions in the past. So, while I can't be in Montana to enjoy the cabin but a few weeks out of the year, I want to make it available to others so that they might make memories of their own.

Mike West purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Mike West chose Yellowstone Country

I have enjoyed this area so many times in my life it was time to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the area more often through the year and make the cabin available for others to enjoy as well. I stayed in this cabin several years ago as well as several of the adjacent cabins. The memories I have made it an easy decision to purchase this cabin when the opportunity became available. I have equipped the cabin with my own personal creature comforts in mind and I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as I have enjoyed mine in the past.

What makes this cabin unique

Comfortable decorations with a full kitchen, ample bedding areas, modern television, dvr, and satellite tv, with bluetooth accessible audio equipment. Wi-fi is not provided but Verizon provides good cellular service.

Great cabin close to Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

Loved this Cabin - spent five nights over Memorial Day weekend at this Cabin. Perfect location to explore Yellowstone and the surrounding area. Only a short drive from Gardiner and the Park entrance. Wildlife is all over the area near the cabin - elk, pronghorn, deer, rabbits, osprey, bluebirds, and much more I am sure. The cabin was clean and had everything you needed for a great stay. Photos totally accurate but actually Cabin looks better in person. Wifi connection was great and satellite TV worked great as well for anyone wanting to stay a little connected. Overall could not have asked for a better place to enjoy a Montana and Yellowstone getaway. The owner was great to deal with as well. Hope to return someday.

Beautiful Cabin and Incredible View

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was clean, wonderfully decorated, and well stocked. It was spacious and I loved the back porch to sit on and relax while watching the river. I wish I could have stayed longer. Mike has done a great job providing a relaxing and nicely furnished cabin and vacation experience. Every morning my daughter went to visit the horses at the property right next to ours. We saw prong horns and elk not far away, and of course lots of Bison in the park. Even when it rained or was cold it was an awesome experience. It was hard coming back to hot humid Florida!

Excellent choice for Yellowstone visitors

  • 5 of 5

We have been to YNP many times and had always stayed at one of the hotels in Gardiner or in the park. This rental offered SO much more, it was actually a part of the park experience. The cabin offered everything you could want and more for a very reasonable cost. The drive from Gardiner to the cabin always produced wildlife sightings, even a black bear showed up on our first trip in. The owners have made every effort for your comfort and convenience, the kitchen is stocked with everything you might need and many books and DVDs are available too. I can't say enough about the great value this rental is, we will be back!

It has it all

The best of the best! Mike and Adrian clearly put a lot of care and thought into there property. Immaculate, it is minutes from the park and on the Yellowstone River. It is stocked with just the things you need but don't travel with like a cooler. plastic wrap, you get the idea. There is a wonderful use of space, comfortable and attractive furniture and dish tv for the end of an exhausting day of hiking. It had everything!! We rent homes all over the country and this surpassed our hopes and expectations. Thank you Mike and Adrian!!

Our stay at Mike's cabin was so incredible. The cabin was much bigger and comfortable than I expected. I had my elderly mother and her friend with us and wasn't sure how rugged it might be- but they were very comfortable and happy with the place. They enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and we all slept very well. The river was literally in our back yard and we used the bbq and firepit to the fullest extent. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked and the place was cleaned beautifully. I can't say enough about Mike's hospitable manner. He respectfully checked in with us and was very helpful and kind. We love you Mike!! We will be back!!!!

Larger than it looks!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely cabin with another family of four, so eight people in total. I was a little concerned it might feel a little too cosy but in fact it was more than suitable for us all. The weather was good so we were able to spread out onto the porch out the back and eat outside too. The cabin was incredibly well stocked with everything you could need and it was furnished to a very high standard. We enjoyed using the fire pit and spent evenings with the neighbouring holiday makers toasting marshmallows for s'mores. Very peaceful and lovely views. Great location straight into Yellowstone park. The ONLYdownside was the four mile dirt road which was very dusty and extremely bumpy. The cabin was so great though so don't let this put you off!
