Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice condo and a short walk to beach. I would stay there again. Myself and my sons loved the free short golf course on the property. I do think the restaurant on the property was taking up parking spots in front of this condo with the valet parking. This was only a problem for us for 1 night though. We loved the sand flea across the street for food and drinks while at beach.

Broken couch

The place is a great place; but the couch is broke. You can’t sit on it because the cushions go down between the metal that makes a bed. This means you sit on the metal bed frame.

Good Value - but missing some items

Overall satisfied with the stay. I've stayed at SPC several times before and you can't be the location. This particular unit was clean, however it was very dated. A few of my frustrations were lack of kitchen cookware items. There were no cooking sheets so the oven was basically useless. We had no spatula and tongs in the unit either. There were no coffee filters (which I can live with), but the coffee maker also has a broken lid which caused it to overflow. They need to update items and make sure there are basic kitchen items in the house. Also, the washer and dryer are tiny (which is fine, just bring extra laundry soap b/c the loads are going to be very small). I called the SPC office several times ahead of our stay and never got anyone to answer, however they did respond in the VRBO app to messages. At the end of the day, the value here is good, but it's not a top tier unit and there are better options on the property.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The office staff at Sandpiper are always so pleasant. From when you book to when you checkout they are always willing to help and any issues that should arise they are always very courteous and prompt in getting them resolved. We have been staying at Sandpiper for multiple years now. This was our first time staying in unit 9237. The location and size of the unit was good however the unit itself could use some upgrades as well as attention. There is no lighting in the master bedroom other than 2 lamps, many of the electrical outlets did not work throughout the condo, mattress in master bedroom is extremely uncomfortable, mattress on sofa sleeper could not even be used due to being unstable, kitchen was not equipped with many cooking supplies, coffee pot was broken (Sandpiper maintenance dept. did bring a new one very quickly), carpet felt very dirty/sticky walking on it. We usually enjoy sitting outside on the balcony but were unable to due to the chairs feeling as the frame would fall apart as well as fabric being torn up. The beach service company is also very courteous and accommodating, I recommend you use them for any chair rentals that you should need, they have the chairs ready very early and are left there till early evening.

We did contact the front office and were told maintenance would be contacted. They were quick to take care of a wasp nest for us. The beds were not comfortable, it seems that the mattress/ pillows are worn. Other than that we had everything we needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the condominium, we tried to use the hot water and it did not work. We called h front office, but it was closed. We then called the gate and someone came to turn on the hot water. The next morning, the office manager called to inform us that the hot water heater was turned off because it leaks. We worked wit the office manager to get a comparable condominium. We then had to move all our belongings again, which took all morning, essentially depriving us of a morning in the vacation. The new condominium was plenty adequate and actually very nice. We enjoyed our stay until the last day. On the second to last day (Oct 24th) I got a text to check out. I did thinking that it was for the actual last day (25th). On the 25h the Office manager then charged me for an extra day. After a phone call, she realized the mistake and refunded me the charge. All this could have been avoided had you just study the case a little hard. Be sure to review the apartment fully before assigning it. The visit turned out to be a great time. We love Destin and will continue to return, but the fun was moderated by the mistakes in the front office.

The air conditioner was freezing up and needs to be cleaned. Also the sofa sleeper needs replacing, when you sit on the sofa you Sink. The cable also kept going out. The location of the condo was perfect. We were close to pool and a short distance to the beach.

Pools were nice and clean, however on one of the three hot tubs worked. Walk across the street to the beach was very easy and also had parking if unable to walk the short distance.

Great place

Pros: Good location, walking distance to beach, close drive to shopping and restaurants. The apartment is spacious, overall comfortable. Cons: the pool area can become very noisy at times that could interfere with your afternoon naps. The kitchenwere is inadequate for the experienced cook, if you plan to do some serious cooking bring your own equipment. The master bedroom doesn't have daylight courtains, everybody from the pool and apartments in front can see inside! Two flight of stairs are not a biggy for young and healthy folks but they are definitely a challenge for old and disable. The couch needs to go, the pillows sink into the couch frame making it really uncomfortable.

Nice Condo with many Amenities

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We like staying at Sandpiper Cove, as this is our 4th stay. We enjoy the beach and the amenities. This most recent condo needed some improvements. We had to put pillows under the seat cushions of the couch to not fall in as the hide-a-bed was either broken or worn out. Using pillows to prop the seats worked but couch should be replaced. Definitely not enough cookware or cooking utensils. 2 sauce pans (small and medium) - couldn't cook spaghetti and sauce at same time. Only 1 non stick pan and no baking pans. No measuring spoons, plastic tong you get from catering rather than a real set of tongs are some examples. I purchased and left measuring spoons, ice cream scooper, metal tongs and paper towel holder. The overall unit was very clean, beds were comfy, and location was great. Steps leading to condo broke as wood was rotted, my husband's foot almost went through. We told office and they fixed steps wihtin 30 minutes and then the next day replaced all the steps. That was very nice.
