About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Get ready to be enchanted! Bayside Villa is a lovely Yacht Club pool home with French doors and upscale touches throughout. A Hurricane 2200DC SunDeck boat is docked behind the house and included in your rental.

Tastefully decorated and fully equipped, this lovely three bedroom, three bath home house includes a surround sound stereo system, granite countertops, and a fireplace in the master suite. The screened lanai and pool area overlook the large private dock on Cape Coral’s 300 foot wide Bimini Canal. It is not uncommon to see dolphins swimming by and a family of manatees has also been sighted on occasion! There is a resident blue heron and lots of boat traffic to make lounging poolside a constant source of entertainment.

Your boat is kept on a lift at your dock and upon your arrival a licensed boat captain will take you on a short tour (one to two hours) to show you all needed instruction like safety features, marinas, shallow water areas and canal/river markers. The boat has been upgraded with most of the optional equipment offered for the model, such as a Ipod system with four speakers, swim ladders off the front and back, a live well and an in-dash fish finder. The Hurricane 2200DC SunDeck has two Captains chairs and is the most popular and sought after boat in Florida. Cruise to Sanibel and Captiva Islands or use the on-the-water dining guide we provide to decide where to dock for lunch or dinner.

If you’re a golfer, you can play any of the more than 50 golf courses in our area. Restaurants and shopping are just minutes away.

About Tom

Bayside is our holiday home providing us the needed break from our stressed filled lives. We love Cape Coral, the yacht club in particular, because it is close to everything we need while still providing us quick access to our beautiful gulf island beaches. We love the fantastic weather that Florida offers and of course the ocean and its abundant wildlife and beautiful beaches. We especially love the cute docile Manatees we see at our dock, and the thrill of interacting with a pod of dolphins riding the wake and jumping behind our boat. The people are fantastic and we have made many friends.

Tom purchased this house in 2004

Why Tom chose Cape Coral

A wide, deep canal with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico was our primary reason for choosing Bayside. As it has always been our intention to offer a Cape Coral boat rental with our home, its close proximity to Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel island and Captiva island make it an excellent choice for anyone who loves the water.

It didn't hurt that the house had just been renovated by a skilled Naples contractor and had all the finishes we love. The double french doors and nickle and brass hardware are exactly what we had put in our previous home on the Stamford Sound in Connecticut (featured in the movie 'Reservation Road'.)

What makes this house unique

I think the advantages of staying at Bayside are all about its location. For the most part, vacation rentals in this area are clean and comfortable, but they don't all provide the privacy of a wide water view with western exposure, or have the amazing Bimini Canal with its big boat traffic and wildlife. And they are not all within sight of the river and just six minutes from the main channel on the Caloosahatchee, nor are they so close to all the area beaches and islands.

If you want to avoid long canal and river boat trips at slow wake speeds, or traffic jams at boat locks and boat lifts so that you maximize your Cape Coral boating time exploring barrier islands and beaches only accessible by boat, then this is the right vacation rental for you.

Perfect place to recharge the batteries

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Bayside for the 4th time and also recommended it to our friends. Every time we get there it feels a liitle like coming home. Vacation feeling from the first minute. And even after having been there so often there is always new places and restaurants to discover, by boat or by car. The house and boat are always very well maintained. Perfect place to recharge the batteries. Thank you, Tom, for a wonderful and relaxing time at your Florida home. J&U

Great location for water views and boating

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time staying at Bayview. The owners have done an excellent job of having all the amenities for your vacation including a boat with electric ramp with easy access to the Intercoastal. Captain Dave provided many ideas for having a meal via the boat and docking in Ft Myers Beach, Captiva/Sanibel, or our favorite in St James City at the Lower Key Tiki restaurant.

Bayside is in an ideal location with a canal that is wide enough to give you spacious water views. We look forward to a return visit.

Wonderfull location!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at many villas over the 25yrs we have taken our annual holiday in Florida and i have to say this is one of the best villas to date.

The use of the boat was a fantastic extra and there was only two days out of our 14 day stay that we did not use it.

If you are a dolphin lover, as we are, you will not be disappointed by the daily journey they make past the villa dock.

Capt. Dave gave excellent instruction and local knowledge and we thank him for that.

The villa and boat were very clean and comfortable. The pool was a good size and well maintained.

Finally i thank Tom & Daisy for the unrestricted use of their holiday home and boat and i commend this property to anyone looking for a holiday they will never forget.

Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Lovely property - home from home

  • 5 of 5

The property was spacious and lovely. Fantastic facilities, great pool and amazing to have the boat.

Tom the owner was most helpful and very responsive. The boat made it for us. Captain David was helpful and spent the best part of Sunday morning talking us through things and taking us out to practically demonstrate. At first it seems a bit overwhelming but after a couple of trips it got a lot easier. We saw Dolphins and went shelling on Sanibel Island. We spent one day in the Everglades which was also great and every other day we went out in the boat. We visited a number of different bars and restaurants recommended by David, all of which were good. We particularly enjoyed Rum Runners.

The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. We had a thoroughly relaxing time and would recommend to anyone.

Tom and Daisy,

We just wanted to thank you both for sharing your precious little gem that Bayside truly is. What can we say, no word can really describe this paradise on earth. Everything was so nice, the beautiful house, the pool, the boat...whoah.

Thank you Tom for answering all of our questions prior departure, it's was such a great time, thank you.

Excellent location with excellent facilities

  • 5 of 5

we had an amazing two week stay at Tom's home in Cape Coral. Tom was very patient with all our questions pre visit and we appreciated his help and advice.

We had thankfully taken a powerboat course before we came to stay so that we could enjoy the boat fully, I think without this we would have felt much less confident. The boat handover with Captain David was thorough - he is very knowledgable and likeable.

The house came as described - fully stocked with laundry products, condiments and plenty of beach towels and extras like a cool box for the boat and fishing rods. Cape Coral is a great central location for exploring the west coat of Florida - we visited Naples a couple of times and also Boca Grande and Port Charlotte - all lovely places to see.

We will definitely return to the area and hopefully to Tom's home.

No hesitation in recommending this property.

Cape Coral is located in tropical Southwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. The City is separated from Fort Myers by the Caloosahatchee River. Cape Coral is surrounded by stunning natural parks and nature preserves and hosts one of the most unique ecosystems in the United States. Cape Coral is crossed by over a 1,000 miles of waterways and canals, most of which provide boater’s access to the Gulf of Mexico. Because Cape Coral has more canals than any other city in the world it is often called the “Venice of America.” Cape Coral is a paradise for boaters, fisherman, golfers, shoppers, Eco tourists, sunbathers, and warm weather enthusiasts to name a few. Bayside Villa is located in the desirable Yacht Club area located in the southeast section of the Cape, convenient to restaurants, shopping, marinas, and water parks. Just minutes from Ft. Myers, Sanibel, and Captiva beaches, our villa allows day trips to many other southwest Florida attractions such as the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Refuge located on nearby on Sanibel Island. Experience Nature like you’ve never seen before boating within the Gulf of Mexico Barrier Islands known all over the world for the abundant marine wildlife and incredible migratory bird populations. If shopping is your thing, try the Tanger or Miromar outlets in Ft. Myers or one of the many malls in the Cape Coral and Ft. Myers areas. For the sports minded, three major league baseball teams play spring baseball in the area. The Red Sox and Twins in Ft. Myers and the Tampa Bay Rays in Port Charlotte. If golf is your game, there are six courses to choose from in Cape Coral alone, with many more in Ft. Myers and the surrounding areas.
