Southwest Florida is one of the best places in the world to see dolphins swimming up to boats and putting on a show in the wild. The original "Flipper" was actually taken from nearby Pine Island Sound and there are many pods of Bottlenose Dolphins all year round nearby. Dolphins swim in a boat's wake because they're very curious animals, and they like to see what's going on. The more noise on board, the more they seem to perform. Make some noise and you'll see them roll over and look up at you.
With an average annual temperature of 75.1 degrees Fahrenheit (23.94 degrees Celsius) and sunshine 355 days a year, Cape Coral has ideal weather for playing golf, and Southwest Florida has over 130 public and private golf courses, with over 50 in the Cape Coral area. Our golf courses are scenic, challenging, and cater to every level of player. Although some courses are for members only, the majority are open to the public. Restaurants and shopping are just five minutes away and you’ll find numerous dining options such as The Fish Tale Grill by Merrick Seafood, Lobster Lady Seafood Market & Bistro, Slates, Boathouse Tiki Bar and Grill, and many others. After dinner, keep the fun going at nightlife spots like BackStreets Sports Bar, Dixie Roadhouse, Nevermind Awesome Bar And Eatery, Paradise Tiki Hut Restaurant and Bar, Big Blue Brewing, Monkey Bar Steak & Seafood, Ralph's Place and many others.
