We had a wonderful weekend. The house is clean and neat and every detail from games for the family to morning coffee for the adults was thoughtfully planned out. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back!
Great home with well appointed amenities. Very clean, easy checkin/out and host communicated quickly. Highly recommend coffee on the patio watching the wildlife, searching nearby caves/caverns, and explore the big trees just down the road.
Thank you for allowing others to rent your charming beautiful cabin. It is well appointed. You had everything we needed. What a great location for a get away. We hiked, swam, and played games. We are looking forward to our next visit and will rent yours again.
This was a great place to stay. It has that true cozy cabin feel but with modern touches that make it extra special. The home is decorated thoughtfully and feels warm and welcoming the moment you walk in.The hosts went above and beyond with amenities—there was a coffee stand with creamers and snacks, plus a thoughtful little gift basket of nuts waiting for us. The kitchen had an inviting breakfast nook, and there was even a bar area to enjoy. In the showers, they provided shampoos, conditioners, and everything you could need, which was such a nice touch. The house was also full of fun! Upstairs there’s an Atari machine and a pinball machine, plus board games for family time. Outside there’s a basketball hoop, a football, and plenty to keep kids entertained. It really is a gem for families.Check-out instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a cozy getaway in Dorrington. It’s charming, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. We can’t wait to come back for some winter fun.
I’ll start first with the positive - this is a beautiful home. Comfy, clean and well appointed. It’s in a great location with lots of flat space for kids to play. We lost power our last night/morning there and they have a generator which was ideal and unexpected. We had one issue that started off our trip on a stressful note. When I searched for houses back in September 2025, I always select “allows pets”. We have a small chihuahua. This house populated my search, I booked it and upon our arrival was messaged by the house manager that the owners “noticed that we had a dog and animals are not allowed due to an allergy.” First, it’s totally fair that they have a security camera but I will say it feels a little invasive as a guest to feel “watched”. With that, I would never intentionally break a house rule and genuinely had no idea pets were not allowed. In all of the years I’ve rented houses, I’ve never had this experience. I asked the house manager what our options were (ie. pay a pet deposit - usually alone 100 for a stay). My husband also said he could drive the dog home as I was tried to find a family member to watch her. The host came back and said she could stay for 300. While that felt steep we were in a tough position. Thankfully our dog was a good house guest.Last suggestion, the checkout inst. were confusing related to bedding. The binder says “keep sheets on bed” and I didn’t know if that meant to strip them or not. I would just add clarity there.
