About the property

One bedroom with an amazing beach and ocean view with refreshing breeze.

This is a beautiful one bedroom condo with an amazing view of the ocean. The breezes are persistently pleasant so that even in the heat of summer, you can experience the luxury of leaving the windows open to enjoy the ocean sounds. However, air conditioning is always available if desired. Sunrises will greet you as you start the day which can include coffee and breakfast on the deck. Lunch and dinner can also be enjoyed outside; because of the breeze the deck is never too hot. Our unit is secluded and faces away from the rest of the resort, so you’ll enjoy the illusion of being alone in your private paradise. Our unit is decorated in a bright and whimsical manner to encourage a carefree mood. A sofa bed is also available however we do not recommend 4 people share this unit, although it is equipped to do so. We want this to be the perfect vacation.

About John & Tash Kelley

John and I live in south central PA. John is a software engineer and I'm a psychologist. We are pictured here with our daughter and her husband. She is completing her doctorate at Princeton hoping to teach Biblical Studies at the University level. Our son in law works at the golf course. Our family enjoys 'making memories at NWP.'

John & Tash Kelley purchased this condo in 2010

Why John & Tash Kelley chose Providenciales

We looked at a number of condo's on the island and even at NWPR, but when we walked in this unit and saw the view and felt the breeze, we knew we'd found our vacation home.

What makes this condo unique

We have looked for years for a place on this island. The day we were leaving for home we toured our unit and fell in love with it. The view when you walk in the front door is breathtaking. It looks right out into the ocean. We didn't realize it at the time, but full moons would be reflected on the ocean outside our bedroom door. The screen door acts like a magnet and just pulls the breeze into our unit. It was a super hot August day, well into the 90's and the unit was so comfortable. It would be hard NOT to fall in love with our place.

The property is nice and clean, it has everything necessary. The bathroom is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer, and the kitchen has all the necessary appliances. Even the sand toys and two beach chairs were provided. The view from the porch is very nice, but condo faces east, and that's where the wind is mostly coming from. We would otherwise really enjoy having our morning coffees and dinners on the balcony, but wind blows everything away from your plates and the table and overturns the glasses and cups. Also, the balcony faces the sun during first half of the day with no shade and gets really overheated. But the main problem for us was the huge amount of ants in the condo. Even though the owners put ant traps in multiple places, it didn't seem to help. Ants were everywhere. Not only we couldn't keep any piece of food outside the refrigerator (even flour and sugar should be kept there), but ants were all over the bedroom and living room, inside the closets and our suitcases. We had to go through all our stuff to shake them off when we were leaving. We stayed in the other condo in this resort as well, and didn't have anything like that.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We take our guests' feedback very seriously. As our 25 reviews with 5-star ratings indicate, our attention to our guests' comfort and enjoyment has been appreciated and well documented. Whenever guests express an issue we address it immediately. If we can’t resolve it in a timely acceptable fashion we always have and always will “make it right.” We believe that’s how we have enjoyed such a successful rental history. We have never experienced nor ever had a guest complain about our balcony. Generally that’s what everyone loves the most because it’s protected from the sun and it enjoys a persistent breeze. We have been there during storms and yes, then the deck is not usable because it gets too windy. However, we have never gotten overheated on our deck. We were sorry to hear that your experience was anything but thoroughly enjoyable. We wish you would have mentioned this to us. You are so right, ants can be a nuisance in the Caribbean. The resort takes them extremely seriously and sprays on a proactive schedule. When we discussed your review with staff and clients who have rented from us before and immediately following your stay, none noted any difficulty or the infestation that you referenced. Nonetheless, we wanted you to know that we have followed up on your concerns and have requested that our unit be sprayed regardless of the schedule. We regret that you hadn’t shared your concerns with us while you were there. We would have immediately addressed them. We have moved guests on our dime because of an issue that couldn’t be resolved, such as during hurricanes or when the AC was down. We would have gladly moved you had we known that you were unhappy. In all 5 of your emails that you wrote while staying in our place you never mentioned concerns or dissatisfaction. We sorely regret that it’s too late now for us to fix this for you.

A true piece of Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful place, wonderful owners! We arrived when Hurricane Matthew was hitting Florida, after passing by TCI 2 days prior, on pins and needles until our flight took off. Once we arrived, car rental was a breeze as someone was waiting for us at the airport, def recommend getting the car, it was invaluable to have. John and Tash are super and always in contact if we needed them, also gave great ideas on things to do and see.

We arrive at Northwest Point and head to our "home" for the next 11 days. Upon entering, our breath is taken away by the view of the beach thru the sliding glass doors to the balcony. The place is beautiful and clean and the photos cannot do it justice. We are very pleased! While we didnt get to experience the "breezes" thru the place (storm brought unusually warmer temps and no breeze) the a/c made it comfortable. We had absolutely beautiful weather every day until our last night a storm passed thru at bedtime and it was a great way to fall asleep.

We decide to check out the resort. Unfortunately we did not get to experience the pool (which is large and has a waterfall) because they were doing maintenance on it while we were there. Head to the beach which is pretty but had a lot of seaweed due to Matthews passing, not a problem because with the beauty of this "secluded" beach, you could overlook it. We always had the beach to ourselves except for 1 evening when we met owners of another condo for sunset. We felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves 95% of the time.

John and Tash did a great job of thinking of everything you could need in their place! We took the cooler and beach chairs everywhere with us. We ate breakfast in every morning with coffee on the balcony for sunrise as it was the first thing we seen each morning thru the sliding glass doors in the bedroom, what a beautiful way to start the day.

Northwest Point is a great place to use as "home base". Pretty much everywhere can be reached within 20 mins, we even went to the other end of the island to ferry over to North and Middle and that drive was only about 30 mins. If you like seclusion and privacy, this is the place to stay. If we were to return, we would for sure stay here again. Nothing like returning after a fun filled day around the island to a place that felt like "home".

We highly recommend staying at NWP and especially staying at "Point of Paradise"

Thank you John and Tash for a vacation to remember!

Amazing, tranquil spot

  • 5 of 5

We could not have found a more beautiful, relaxing location to spend our week. The condo was just as described, very clean and well stocked and with all brand new appliances. The washer and dryer were great to have. We ate in most of the time and loved sitting on the deck enjoying our meals with the beautiful views and breezes. The resort grounds were very clean and beautifully landscaped and the staff was very friendly. We had the pool and beach almost entirely to ourselves most of the week. Having the car provided was great, it allowed us to venture to all points of the island and return "home" at the end of the day to a very private, comfortable , quiet spot. Within just a 15- 20 minute drive, we were able to visit all the beaches we wanted (Malcolm Road was our favorite!), shopping and eating in Grace Bay, the conch farm and the beautiful Chalk Sound and Sapodilla Bay. Our pictures just cannot capture the beauty and color of the water and beaches. Saw nurse sharks, eagle rays, and turtles on our snorkeling trip and would have loved more time to snorkel by ourselves either at the resort or Malcolm Rd Beach. John and Tash were easy and quick to communicate with and attentive to our needs. We are so thankful for our time on the island and cannot wait to return! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful place with us!

Chill, relax, unwind-whatever you want to call it!

  • 4 of 5

We loved staying here. Very much off the beaten track, seriously folks it is, that is one of the things we loved about it the most. If you want crowds and tourists hop in the provided rental and head into "town". Long walks on the beach often without another human in sight. Even OK snorkeling down the beach to right near the point. Nice community barbecue for your use, pool area and beach well kept and comfortable, good grocery stores in town( grace way gourmet is the best for sure) many choices for dining out. If you are looking fun action and clubbing TCI is not your place, if you are looking for a quaint one bedroom condo with great views and surrounding amenities then this is your place. Would definitely recommend this rental.

Great Home Base

  • 5 of 5

Point of Paradise provided a clean, relaxing, comfortable place to call home for our week on the island. The car was essential and much appreciated! We drove all around the island. Loved Malcolm Beach, Taylor Bay Beach and the Turtle Cove area! We also enjoyed our time on the beach right at the resort where we "practiced" snorkeling (there is a reef about 75 yards out). The apartment is well stocked, the internet worked well and we loved waking with the sunrise and having our coffee on the porch each morning. The pool area is lovely but we mostly enjoyed the beach and exploring the island. Having a washer/dryer in the apartment was awesome too. The owners were great to work with and were only an email away.

Although the island is small and everything is within a short drive, our place is in a more secluded location and lends itself to a quieter and more relaxing vacation. It's not unusual to be alone on the beach.

We strongly recommend that our guests take advantage of our car rental discount service since we are a remote resort and you will need a car. There are many beautiful beaches on this island and a car will allow you to visit many of them. The car rental agency will meet/greet you at the airport with a map of the island. They will highlight how to get to the resort from the airport. Be sure to ask for directions to the grocery store.
