Was not to happy that there was no mention of all the stairs to get into the place, we were older group of people that had some knee and ankle problems that this information would have been nice to know. The window were very dirty that made the view of lake kinda of hard to see. The blinds in the kitchen didn't work so in the morning the sun was in our eyes while we were eating breakfast, but overall it wasn't a bad place

We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the home and had to replace the shower curtains liners because of Mold. I asked for the refund for the cleaning service since we had to replace the liners in the shower and scramble that morning when we tried to take showers. The spiders inside the house and webs were very disappointing as well. Major Webs in the bedrooms were never taken care of. The outside of the home was very rough with bugs and webs and bird droppings all over the seating area, tables and deck without even a pass-through to make it acceptable. The home was nice and location, but the cleaning was a fail that disrupted our experience.

The positives: Large, airy, well-groomed residence. Very well furnished. Plenty of space. Located lakeside. Nice, long dock. Game room made for good entertainment. Hot tub was great. Clean and well maintained. Easy access to Geneva.The negatives: Outside needs more attention. Alot of leaves and cobwebs everywhere. Not nearly enough garbage bags provided. Shower off the kitchen leaked. Pool table isn't level. Oven in main kitchen wouldn't light. No cupboards for food storage in main kitchen. No sealable containers for leftover food.Overall: This place is way overpriced.

Long weekend get away

Had a wonderful stay! Would be even better if a couple of kayaks were made available to better enjoy the lake, but maybe that's an extra liability. We had a great time and the house was clean and well equipped. Good response time with owner when needed.

Rooms were jut ok, not charm whatsoever to this house.Basement had mold and leaks.. the house is not well maintained.Hot tub was dirty.... would never get in it.

Mothers day with the girls

We had an amazing time. The house was in a great location with plenty of wineries, breweries and places to visit including downtown Geneva. Uppn arrival, the house was clean with great ammenities including the hot tub. The views were an amazing way to enjoy our wine. The property can be a little difficult to navigate entry between going over the railroad tracks to get to the property and the many steps to the front door but did not really cause a problem for us.

Graduation Weekend stay with entire family

We visited Harmony Beach during HWS commencement. It’s a great location eight minutes away from campus. The views of Senegal Lake are amazing. The home itself needs a little bit of TLC. I think the owners need to update the check in manual and details for The home. It could also very much use a power wash as we’re coming off of the colder months and there are a bunch of bugs and cobwebs that needed cleaning off. There’s a lot of potential here, the views are great, but I couldn’t get over the level of cleanliness and How the handbook was a bit deeded.

Great house for group trips!

We stayed here for a 50th birthday girls trip. We all enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The kitchen area was large enough to accommodate all of us, which was great for meals. The location is close to several wineries as well. The listing does state that there are a lot of stairs, but our only comment there would be that the lighting could be a little better both at the front and back of the house. Maybe a motion light? Our host was quick to respond to my questions prior to arriving too. Overall we loved this house and would definitely come back!

Family vacation

House needs basic maintenance. Steps were steep (as described) but railings outside were not secure. Layout was strange and seemed to be 2 separate homes with plenty of individual space but not a great common area for everyone to gather comfortably. Outside space had limited shaded spots (one small deck on the lid- level but no umbrellas or areas to sit in shade.

Lovely lake! Great long dock! Great for kids over 4 or 5 (tons of stairs at this house!). Spacious house. Room for kids to play and for adults to converse. House was clean and was pleasantly furnished. Windows were not clean and pots and pans need to be replaced (many were badly scratched teflon- we bought our own cast iron frying pan). Swimming shoes are a must! We brought 4 kayaks and there was room with no problem. Outside decks were plastered with spiders and webs. Not enough towel racks and hard to keep the towels they provided fresh for a whole week unless you hung them on the spider webs. But we enjoyed the house and loved the lake and it is conveniently location near many local attractions.

Perfect for our needs

We had a great stay at the lake house. My sister and her husband along with my grown sons and their partners gathered there to celebrate the memory of our parents who had grown up on Seneca. The house had everything we needed for a fun stay. We fished, we swam, we cooked fun meals together, sat around the fire pit, enjoyed the hottub and watched movies and baseball. What more do you need? There was lots of room, the kitchen was well outfitted for cooking, and the house had everything we needed (like TP, hand soap, towels and so on). We even found worms in the grass that the small-mouth bass were hungry for! Yes it is a lake house and shows the wear and tear that comes with that, but there was nothing to keep us from having a great stay!!

Lake house

The views of the house off the lake were beautiful but the patio both upper deck and lower decks were dirty full of cobwebs , junk everywhere in the lower deck and the seating area was filthy. It was obvious they were not cleaned . The dishwasher didn’t work and smelled like mold. I was so embarrassed bringing my family to this house. I’ve stayed in a VRBO before and have never experienced such disgusting things

Harmony Beach house

The house is in a great location but need some updates. The futons in the basement are completely unsuitable for sleeping; one had metal pieces sticking up and the other collapsed when someone sat on it. The queen sleeper sofa in the loft is very old and the mattress sagged so much in the middle that our teens had to take it out and put it on the floor. I would confirm that these problems have been addressed before renting. There was also a sewer smell intermittently near the front of the deck.

Great lakefront- house needs TLC

The lakefront location is great! The stairs to get down to entrance of property are somewhat difficult but was disclosed. Parking situation not ideal due to close proximity to railroad tracks. Access to town and other finger lake activities was great. Rented a pontoon boat and docked it at property which was great. Hot tub was nice and working. Furniture outdated and different than the listing photos . Bathrooms need completely redone. Mold and mildew in each. Saucepan full of water discovered under bathroom sink off kitchen but owners were responsive which reached out about it. Kitchen pots and pans were old and just not clean. Dishwasher did work. Washer and dryer were marginal. Entire exterior was rather dirty with lots of cobwebs/ spiders and needs power washed. We enjoyed our time in the region, but would not come back to this property.

Lakeside Harmony

The view of Seneca Lake was lovely. The house has a large amount of stairs. Three flights going from the parking down to the house and three flights from the house to the lake. There is only one bedroom on the main floor. This house may be fine for young groups. It does not work well for anyone older or really young children. When you come from the livingroom the stair to the playroom/game room is a sharp left straight down the stairs and not safe for young children. It would probably work well for young groups since it has two kitchens and offers separate spaces. The home does need some work on the outside railings and on the deck. A simple fix of the broken locks on both gates on the deck and the hand rails coming into the house. It has potential to be a nice spot but needs some care to make it worth the rental price. I think with some repairs and thought to safety features it could be a nice spot with a beautiful view.

Great location, needs maintenance

Beautiful location with great view of the lake. Fast to get to Geneva and the wineries. However, several maintenance issues that are not described in the listing: 1) Structure/sloping floor. The half of the house with the main kitchen is severely sloped and not level. Almost a 2 degree slope in the dining room area--enough that a coke can will roll "downhill" across the dining room without pushing it. If you have anyone with balance issues, beware as it can be very disorienting. 2) Deck outside the kitchen is sagging. The 2x6 joists are sitting on 2x6 beams. The beams are visibly bowed. 3) Septic smell in the rear of the house. When on the deck or in the backyard we noticed a distinct, yet subtle septic smell. Did not make for a very inviting time outdoors even though the scenery is beautiful across the lake. Looks like the septic take is right underneath the rear outdoor stair case and may be causing the odor 4) Main kitchen dishwasher is not working properly and filled with dirty dishes from the previous tenant. The owners sent someone over to get it to start it but we could only get it to start again one other time during our 3 day stay. 5) Pool table only has one pool cue with a felt tip 6) Foosball table was not functioning and looked repaired with duct tape 7) Stairs on the front concrete stair case are sloping and the hand rail is shaky. Again if you have anyone with balance or mobility issues you need to be very careful on this stair case.

Overall, our stay was decent and the house offered plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved the playroom, and the views were fantastic.However, several issues impacted our stay:Non-Functional Amenities• The hot tub was completely unusable — it was green with algae, and no documentation, test kits, or maintenance chemicals were provided.• The main kitchen oven did not work properly, though we were fortunately able to use the smaller secondary kitchen's oven.Cleanliness & Maintenance Concerns• Upon arrival, the deck and outdoor table were covered in bird droppings, requiring us to clean everything before sitting down.• The back of the house was covered in dead bugs and cobwebs, making it impossible to enjoy sitting outside in the evenings.Host Responsiveness• The owner was non-responsive, leading to delay getting into the house. We ultimately needed VRBO to step in and assist.Recommendations for Hosts• Schedule a professional power washing of the home's exterior and deck prior to guest arrival.• Upgrade to a more thorough turnover cleaning service to ensure outdoor areas are sanitary.• Install bug zappers or pest control measures around the outdoor seating space.• Repair the main oven and restore the hot tub to working condition with clear instructions provided.• Improve response times for guest communication, especially around check-in.We had a good time overall and just wanted to pass along this feedback in case it's helpful for future guests.

Relaxing

The property was clean, a great space for our party and a great location for the sightseeing we did. The house needs some attention to detail. Examples: Lightbulbs in lamps and lighting need to be replaced, all batteries in clocks were dead but our cell phones served that purpose. We were there during winter but discussed how the dock, fire pit and outdoor space would be great during the summer/early fall.
