About this property

Historic charm and secret gardens. Central location. Bay St. Louis, MS

Welcome to the Gingerbread House! Relax and enjoy the coastal charm of Bay St. Louis in this historic Creole cottage, located in the heart of Old Town. You're just a stones throw from restaurants, shops, and galleries of Main St, the Depot District, and white sand beaches.

There is a spacious living room area, where you can relax and kick back after a long day of exploring the nearby shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Also, enjoy your mornings or evenings sitting on the front porch listening to the windchimes, while chatting with friendly passers-by.

Our kitchen is stocked with the equipment needed to prepare meals, which can be served in the adjacent dining area on a large dining room table which seats 4.

Several pairs of French doors open onto the porch, including from the master bedroom, a space full of comfort and charm. Prepare for a good nights sleep on this king size bed, with curtains on the windows for privacy and sleeping in late!

Head on up the stairs to the bedroom loft, which is especially loved by children for the low Victorian ceilings, which have been raised for the entrance and bathroom areas, but still remain original in the bedroom.
Adults over 6 feet tall will need to duck down, just a little, in this room.
Two twin beds sit next to a window with a beautiful view. A great place to relax and read a book.

Take a stroll around the garden, or sip a beverage at the private patio table.

There is onsite parking for 1 vehicle, with additional parking available along Toulme Street.

Enjoy all Bay St. Louis has to offer. We would love to host y'all!

What a beautiful and well maintained home! We really enjoyed our weekend here and the garden was such a treat! Everything was beautiful and clean with all the necessities available. Location is great, we were only there for one full day so we didn’t rent a golf cart and honestly did not need it as everything was easy to walk to. Great place to stay and would highly recommend! The historic cemetery across the street is a great place to explore too!

House is adorable and very comfortable. 5 minute walk into town and whole area was very walkable. Proximity to the train wasn’t so desirable.

We work hard to ensure all of our guest's have as comfortable stay as possible. A train does run right through the middle of the downtown area, and there isn't much we can do about that. If there is a next time, you may want to consider a house further away from the downtown area.
