Quick 4th of July Getaway

This was a last minute trip to the Outerbanks and I was lucky to find this gem of a cottage. Newly renovated, spacious, on the sound side and easy enough access to the ocean. We had a great 4 days over the holiday weekend. Owner was very responsive as we navigated the beach access and neighborhood pool and tennis access. Great size for 4 adults.

We LOVED this cottage. It seriously had the best vibes and views. 4 adults, two kids, and one dog—it was so comfortable and charming. The home was older but tidy and well kept. The yard is adorable and private despite being on the main road. The beds were comfy and the showers had great pressure—always a winning combo. The only drawback I would say is that the kitchen was missing a lot of items; I know most people go on vacation and eat out a lot so it probably wouldn’t be a dealbreaker, however we love to cook and luckily brought most of our kitchen with us. We absolutely plan on returning to the Mucky Duck!
