The Octagonal Adirondack Star Ridge Studio is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. It boasts 360 degree views of mountains and forest. Your private space includes a kitchenette with dishes & utensils, coffee maker, tea kettle, sink, full size fridge and microwave, but no stove. There is a high quality full size futon bed, lounge space and deck.

*An upscale, super clean outhouse is available 20 steps away with an adjacent wash-up sink. An AWESOME outdoor shower with amazing views has been added to take your experience to another level. Enjoy quiet time indoors or out with panoramic views of the High Peaks and beyond.

*Note: the Studio shares the outhouse and outdoor shower with a max. of 2 other guests when Little*Star is occupied. Little*Star is NOT visible from the Studio.

A continental breakfast is included and offered steps away on the Ridge each morning of your stay.

Studio on Star Ridge offers a unique opportunity to combine comfort and the great outdoors within a solid structure. The space is tastefully decorated and boasts amazing views from the interior and exterior. The additional screen door and multiple screened windows, on every side of the structure, make experiencing the outdoors possible in comfort. It is a place where lifetime memories can be created.

We welcome our guests to share in the Blessings of being on Star Ridge's precious location and the Studio space. Creator's touch can be seen and felt, sun up to sun down. A beautiful property that offers breathtaking panoramic views. Perfect if you’re looking to go off-grid for a few days. Mike and Mini were courteous and kind hosts. Help was always available when needed. The bonfire was a great touch. I would love to come back to this place!

I must say that upon arrival I felt the immediate comfort of that ridge. The home was beautiful but more importantly I could sense the goodness of our host. Breakfast was awesome. Being on the property with the host can be intimidating but that was not the case at all. I found the comfort of a bed and breakfast and the privacy of a cabin in the woods. Absolutely amazing and I will be returning!

Little peaceful paradise

I needed a place to sleep and refresh while I went cheering a dear friend for her first full Ironman and this place didn't disappoint!! The cabin is simply perfect, a little haven of peace, no noise, a clean and comfy bed, perfection! Then the outdoor shower... with a view of the mountains! I don't think it can any better than this! and yet... it does! The owners, Mike and Mini are the most kind and thoughtful owner you can find! I had a nice little breakfast set up in the morning and I can't express how lovely the whole experience was!

Get Away from it all and Relax in Nature!

The studio is immaculately clean, cozy, and beautiful on the inside, surrounded by captivating views of the majestic mountains and forest on the outside! The sunsets are spectacular, with the ever-changing colors playing on the clouds, and then when darkness falls, you're treated to yet ANOTHER show when all the stars reveal themselves with depth and clarity! So romantic! Hubby & I stayed a week and never grew tired of this place; it was the ideal base camp for our hiking, sight-seeing, & shopping excursions. Its quiet, peaceful location is a short drive to many fun activities and must-see sights the Adirondacks have to offer, as well as a short ferry ride to Vermont. The owners, Mike & Mini, are delightfully warm, gracious hosts who are quite knowledgeable about the area and just plain fun to talk to! They are there if you need them but never intrude on your space. We felt spoiled by the nice breakfasts they provided for us everyday. This was a truly fun, restorative vacation!

Why they chose this property

The story of Adirondack Star Ridge began back in the fall of 1998 when we were traveling through the High Peaks region of the Adirondack Mountains for a weekend getaway. A photo of a realtor's ad spoke to us and we ventured to find the location with captivating views. Little did we know at that time how following the inner small voice was the beginning of positive life changes for us and those who came to experience Star Ridge. The moment we set foot on the 30 acre property we had a tremendous sense of having arrived somewhere truly special. Each step forward along the then logging road brought about a greater sense of excitement and inner peace. When we reached the ridge and took in the majesty of the mountains before us, time stood still and we were one with our true nature. Words are inadequate to express the experience. In that instant the vision of Adirondack Star Ridge was conceived and the labor of love to share what we experienced began.

What makes this property unique

From land that had no power or running water and only a narrow logging trail, today what is known as Star Ridge has 4 distinct accommodations to support the varied needs of our guests. The Cottage is perfect for couples, friends or a family. Little*Star offers a great upscale camping experience in the comfort and convenience of one room tucked in the forrest. The octagonal Studio is versatile and aside from offering surreal mountain top lodging, it has been used for a variety of needs, such as group retreats, meditation hall, lecture space, Reiki Circles, Sathsang, prayer sessions with our Swamiji and our Tibetan Monk friend. The Energy is awesome A special feature available on the ridge is an unique outdoor hot water shower with great mountain views and also an upscale heated tiled outhouse with a view. The ensuite offers private space with home like comfort and convenience for a lone traveler or a couple. The multi-sensory experience of rain on the steel roof, song birds, aroma of the surrounding forest, breath taking views and mountain breezes are magically delicious.


Because the ridge faces a 180 degree (SW, W & NW) view of the High Peaks and Whiteface Mountain, the majestic scene makes for a surreal experience at sunrise and sunset. Starry nights and meteor showers are common experiences around the bonfire, (conditions permitting). It's also a great opportunity to share travel and life stories with other guests and make new friends.
