Amazing place and amazing hosts and hospitality. Close to nearby attractions but nice and quiet. And the hosts have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely recommend and go there again.

We had a fantastic time at Painted Buffalo! Peaceful & quiet yet close enough to do day trips to Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park. We were very impressed by all of the thoughtful touches in the cabin and appreciative of the chill, dog-friendly atmosphere. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to explore the Black Hills area but have a peaceful place to return to at the end of the day.

The Sundance cabin was an amazing getaway for my family of 3. It was a cozy, quiet cabin off the beaten path that provided the solitude anyone can enjoy. The cabin was fully stocked and the hosts were the sweetest people.

Everything was there and more. The cabin is clean, cozy, and well organized. It feels home from first moment. Detailed maps and suggestions for nearby attractions. The Custer State Park annual permit is included. Clean grill, clean hot tub, very nice veranda, vantage point for wildlife and free stars at night included.

This place is amazing! We WILL return!! I didn't read the other review about how close the cabin was to the house before I booked this. It didn't matter to us (maybe a little using the hot tub) . This cabin is so amazing. She thought of everything in the event you forget travel necessities! The little toothpastes were so cute. The kitchen/coffee bar i really liked. If you have questions she is responsive. There is a grocery store and Dollar General in town as well. There are more surprises, I can't give it all away. My husband was very impressed and he doesn't say this much.

Me and my wife stayed here for a couple of nights after our wedding. It was clean, set up well, had everything we needed and nothing that we didn't. The host is super friendly and responsive, and the area is very quiet and peaceful. Hot tub is very simple and cozy, which was perfect for my wife and I to relax in. Will be recommending this place to friends and family, the perfect place for a peaceful weekend away!

We had the best time, cabin was very quaint, we went for our 25th Anniversary, my husband found this one, and couldn't have picked a better place, it was just what we were looking for, so peaceful, especially at night in the hot tub listening to the peepers, we miss the country life. Myria was the best host, DEFINITELY would come back and DEFINITELY would recommend. 5 stars all out.

This was a wonderful stay. The host was great! The cabin was cozy and cute! I love that it was out in the country away from things but at the same time, it was only about 30 mins to anything we wanted to see. Sitting in the hot tub after dark with all the lights off, the stars were amazing! They also provided many amenities.

The check in process was a little confusing but the host was right there to make sure I was comfortable! She was so friendly and welcoming and answered all of my questions! The hot tub was amazing and just what I needed after a long drive. The rules were easy to follow and the cabin was CLEAN!

Weekend get away

This was everything we were hoping for! Away from it all, relaxing and rejuvenating. The cabins are beautiful, well laid out. So many extras were thoughtfully provided. We enjoyed the hot tub watching the stars, grilling tasty meals, and watching the wildlife from the porch. Our host checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed but otherwise left us to relax. We stayed at the cabin all weekend, but it is easy to get to the many sights in the area. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Home away from home

We stayed in the Sundance cabin for 3 nights and it was the perfect spot to get away and relax. It’s obvious in the details that the owners take great pride in their property. We had a last minute schedule change, and they kindly agreed to change our reservation. It is set in the quiet county, yet a short drive from tourist sights and activities. I highly recommend
