About Diane and Michael Goldberg

After skiing in the east for years, we went to Alta and Snowbird for a week, and saw there was more to skiing than icy slopes and cold weather. We decided to look for a place that was close to our favorite places to ski (the Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons) but also convenient to stores, the airport, and the city. The Oaks at Wasatch condo fit the bill. We are the original owners of this town home. And now we return every year and ski with our kids and grandkids—a perfect place for a wonderful vacation.

Why Diane and Michael Goldberg chose Cottonwood Heights

Location, Location, Location. We are between the Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons--only about 15-20 minutes to 4 of the best skiing areas in the world. Each area has unique qualities and we love going to all of them--but Alta's snow conditions can't be beat anywhere. We like to be near good restaurants, shopping, and the many cultural attractions of Salt Lake city.

What makes this townhome unique

We have two water heaters in the unit. We have upgraded to central air conditioning rather than the high-maintenance evaporative cooler swamp coolers that many of the other units have.

Homeowners Association provides efficient snow removal and lawn care. A local realtor manages our unit and you will have our contact information so we can provide exceptional service while you are enjoying your Utah vacation.

Clean, comfortable and great location!

This townhouse is located off Wasatch Blvd. in the Oaks at Wasatch subdivision. The location is excellent for getting to Little and Big Cottonwood Canyon, especially on a powder day. The townhouse is well maintained and the owners care that you have the best experience possible during your stay. The living room is furnished with a comfortable leather sofa and two reclining leather chairs which are nice to stretch out in after a day of skiing or riding. Other features include a hot tub, gas fireplace and two car garage. In addition, the kitchen has a gas stove which made cooking quick and easy. Most importantly, everything works in this townhouse, we had no problems during our stay. Thanks for a great experience, we hope to return for many years.

Very comfortable for our party of four; our purpose for being in Utah was to ski in the Cottonwood canyons, and this location, along with its amenities, was ideal. Owners and management of property were very hands on when needed.

Couldn't have asked for a better location for access to all of SLC's best! Great layout, flexible for a variety of guest arrangements and needs. All the amenities you could think of and many thoughtful extra touches, too. Hope to return!

Ski trip to Snowbird/Alta. Plenty of room. Immaculately clean. Hot tub functional and crystal clear water...one you are not afraid to go into. Kitchen well stocked also. Minutes from a grocery store, lots of restaurants within 20 minutes and best of all even quicker ride to the canyon and ski resorts. Quick communication from owners was appreciated too.

Best in Utah

This 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom apartment is beautiful. After all day skiing we enjoyed the hut tub and fireplace. The apartment is located at very convenient spot. It’s 6-8 miles of the mountains Alta, Snowbird and few minutes to shopping center, gas station etc. I’m planning to be back in next year.

Someone looking for a place may think it is sunbdivided into apartments, but it isn't subdivided.)The hot tub is a real treat after a day of skiing. We like to make our vacation home a place where people can relax and feel comfortable after a great day of skiing or exploring Salt Lake City. After skiing in the east for years, we went to Alta, Solitude and Snowbird for a week, and loved the snow conditions and weather. We decided to look for a place that was close to our favorite places to ski (the Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons) but also convenient to stores, the airport, and the city. The Oaks at Wasatch condo fit the bill. And now we return every year and ski with our kids and grandkids—a perfect place for a wonderful vacation.

Our lovely stucco and stone condo is located off of Wasatch Blvd. midway between the Little Cottonwood Canyon (about 10 miles to Alta and Snowbird) and the Big Cottonwood Canyon (Solitude and Brighton.) Ski Alta if you want to ski the greatest snow on earth. Do you have skiers and snowboarders who want some challenging runs, then stop off at Snowbird. Brighton is known for snowboarding family fun. And we always have a good time at Solitude. Relax in the private hot tub after a day of skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing or sledding. Want to come in the summer? You can hike the majestic peaks surrounding Salt Lake, go bird watching, or drive 20 minutes into town and see the cultural attractions.

A large grocery store with discounted ski tickets is 5 minutes away and there are many fine restaurants nearby. The Oaks is where you have the best of both worlds—close to great skiing and also to the Salt Lake community. And if the road to the Little Cottonwood Canyon is closed, then you have your choice of other ski areas. The property management company efficiently takes care of snow removal and grounds upkeep. We’re only a phone call away, and we have a Rental agent in the Oaks who can take care of any necessities or emergency requests.

The condo has a 2-car garage with direct access into the house, and there is a ski bus stop located at the entrance to the development. The Canyons, Park City, and Deer Valley are about a half hour drive. The Salt Lake City airport is a major hub and only 23 minutes from the condo. (We like the non-stop flights from back east.)

High-speed internet through Comcast cable. You can use Wi-Fi or connect your computer with cables.
