About Robin (Chelle) Masion

Hello I am Robin (Chelle, if you prefer). I am a US Southern girl living in France at present with my husband and our doggie children. I was born in Florida then spent the majority of my life in good old South Carolina. Chance brought my husband to the US and the rest was fate. Now I am an old pro at living overseas (16 years) but my true home will always be the US. We are hoping to retire to Summerville one day but that is still many years off.

I work at home but love being outdoors. I spend all my spare time at my dog club teaching agility and competing in agility and obedience with my Aussies. We also dabble in Treibball, Dog Dancing, Frisbee and Cavage (that's truffle hunting). Well, enough

about me.

Robin (Chelle) Masion purchased this house in 2009

Why Robin (Chelle) Masion chose Summerville

My love for this house is not only due to the memories that it brings me of my father but also due to its quaint style. It has a lovely garden full of birds and squirrels. I have been told there is even a bunny around sometimes. Also the cute little picket fences and trellis simply made me adore this house. It truly stands out among the others in the neighborhood. Inside it is bright and spacious. I have tried to decorate it with taste and comfort. All this makes me love this house. Believe me when I tell you I would love to live here full time but I cannot so I will let you enjoy it for me.

What makes this house unique

My home is ideally located for exploring the Charleston area. It is in a very quiet neighborhood just 2 miles from I-26. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping right around the corner too. It cannot get any better than that to see the region.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Perfect for a family of 4 and entertaining.

  • 5 of 5

First off let me say the owner was very accommodating, and messages and all questions were answered promptly. We chose this location do to it ease of being right of of 26. We have family in Summerville, goose creek, and North Charleston, and this location was 15min for everyone. We came down as a surprise for our little girl turning 5 whom just wanted to see her cousin for her birthday. Once arrived and started to settle in we had a birthday to prep for a very demanding little human. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook, and entertain. We were making the cake down there, and brought our stand mixer. To our surprise we didn't even need to (there was one at the house already) Birthday party went off without a hitch. Grilling in the back yard was perfect. We even got a kiddie pool, and put that out for the kids (all 5, and under) and they loved playing in the pool while we were cooking out. Both the kids loved having there own rooms. (The only minor issue was the "American room" as our boy called we had to remove some of the decorations just to keep them safe. Location for us was perfect we usually do a downtown day, and a family type day. Downtown was great took 20-25min and we were in the heart of were we go to. (right by king street, and hit the fountains) We also went to the fire museum in North Charleston (also 20min). The only thing we didn't accomplish was a beach day. (it was washed out by a do nothing around the house day... which is near impossible in a hotel) Overall this house is perfect. We have already added it to our contacts as our "South Carolina Homeaway" We we will be back with out a doubt. (the only problem we found is its so booked we can't make it back until around easter ;)) Perfect home, everything you could think of needing is already there, perfect size, perfect location, great back yard, owner is quick to respond and answer any questions/ concerns. We will with out a doubt be back.

Thanks for everything Robin, and Cindy (we had ran into her as we were "checking out" and left her very little to do to prep for the next family)

We Will Be Back,

Thanks Again,

The Erickson's

Outstanding

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this property was outstanding. From the beginning, Robin (the owner) was easy to work with and was very accommodating our family needs. The home was well equipped with everything we needed for our 8 night stay. The house was clean and well kept. The neighborhood was quiet. I would highly recommend staying in this home for any visit to the Charleston area.

Very clean home and great communication with owner. Everything we needed was available.

We had an absolute blast staying in Robins home. Home was very clean. Communication was great. She even sent messages asking how our stay was during our visit. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. We used the grill which had charcoal provided. Great Suburb of Charleston. We visited downtown Charleston, Patriots Point, Folly Beach, and Edisto Beach. We even took a quick day trip to Savannah, GA. When we went to beach we had everything we needed right at the house. Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and even sand toys! A+ Robin, thanks

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Nothing gives you the feel for the real American culture like staying in someones home. My caretaker and I try hard to make this house a real home for guests. Thank you so much for your review! And if you ever come back to the states please come back to see us. All my best wishes, Robin (Chelle)

Nice and cozy

  • 5 of 5

Very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Easy to get to and from when going to the tourist spots. There was a folder provided that contained all things needed to know for local hangouts, weather evacuation, food spots, and all the tourist options for visits.

Very pleased with my stay here.
