About Richard Nikoley
Beatrice is a 6th grade school teacher finishing her 30th year and Richard, an entrepreneur of 20 years and most recently a published author and proprietor of a popular blog. Bea grew up in the Bay Area of California and Richard, in Reno, Nevada. Bea always wanted to teach and Richard, to be a Navy Officer, so after the education was out of the way, that what we both did with our lives. Bea has enjoyed almost every day of it and Richard will never forget living in Japan for 5 years and then in France for two, on an exchange tour with the French Navy. A few years ago a friend told us about his experience renting his vacation home in Napa out as a vacation rental. Since we had a vacation home in the California Gold County, we decided to give it a try since we only used it a few weeks per year and the experience taught us that we really enjoy the vacation rental experience. So come enjoy the property we hand picked to share with people from around the world.
Richard Nikoley purchased this Resort in 2012
Why Richard Nikoley chose Cabo San Lucas
We've been to Mexico a number times and have enjoyed each stay tremendously. The weather is fantastic, the food sublime, and the people friendly and helpful. We'd spoken many times of purchasing a property for our own use but once we got involved in renting our own vacation rental it became a reality. Cabo and this newest property was the perfect fit.
What makes this Resort unique
As world travelers and one of us having lived abroad for a number of years, this is one of the best and coolest resort & spa properties ever seen. The award winning design is tropical, yet modern and graceful. It has old world Mexican décor with wood carved furnishings, wrought iron and stone finishes. The cactus gardens and tropical landscape is impeccable.

Wonderful and 1st Class
Just completed another stay at GSLE and couldn’t be more pleased.
We did not get our building of choice (B) but it turned out well in Building E with great views from the 9th floor.
Lots of uber rides, you have to originate your trip just pass the guard check-in with drop offs at the front entry.
Our owner did a great job with the transaction, everything was as described.
Really glad you had another great stay, Don.
Thank you Richard for a SPECTACULAR place to vacation
I too was hesitant to rent "site unseen" from a stranger. Richard was quick to respond in my initial inquiry as well as sending the paperwork to the resort to reserve our room. I even had to delay a week from our earlier inquiry and he was very accommodating. He sends you paperwork that you give upon check in which transfers all "member" privileges to you. Check in was easy and the front desk folks are familiar with members renting to guests. When I called to confirm our reservations, they were very familiar with Richard even though I didn't ask they offered. Other guests don't know who is a guest or a member, unless you tell or they ask. So, there is no discrimination. Renting from an owner is the way to go as it is much cheaper than renting from the resort. The drive is about 45 min. from the airport. We used Nice Ride Cabo for our round trip ground transportation. The driver stopped for an extra fee at Walmart for us to pick up snacks, beer and wine. You can walk into Los Cabo easily to other restaurants, bars etc. Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo bar is within walking distance and serves lunch and dinner. The units all have a full kitchen if you feel like cooking. Food is very expensive at the resort. We paid $100 for the Sunday brunch breakfast. For us it wasn't worth it. We got the three day meal plan but for us eating three times a day was just too much so we felt we didn't get our moneys worth. Most staff we talked with spoke English quite well. I felt very safe walking into town not seedy at all. Los Cabo is very accommodating to tourists. You can't swim in the ocean but can walk along it. There are several beautiful infinity pools that are right by the ocean. If you desire a luxurious place in a breathtaking location, this is the place for you. Note Grand Solmar is different than Solmar although they are right next to each other. Solmar was the first one I think. It is older but still in a spectacular setting. The condo itself was in great shape and was spotless. We heard no construction noises although the front lobby area was being worked on still. The sunsets were awesome. Rent from Richard. You won't be sorry. We will definitely be back and will rent from Richard again.
Amazing Stay at Grand Solmar
This was my first time renting a timeshare so I was a bit skeptical, however my experience with Richard was great and he put my mind at ease. He provided all documentation that I needed within days to confirm my stay with the resort. Grand Solmar is absolutely beautiful, even with the ongoing construction, however they anticipate it being complete by July or August 2015. The property is in a quiet area, however you are not far from town, Medano Beach, the marina, etc (you can walk or take a taxi). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I plan to visit again next February! You won't be disappointed at Grand Solmar. Thank you Richard & Beatrice!!
We stayed at this amazing resort for 10 days over Spring Break. Richard was very helpful and answered all my questions quickly. He recommended the ground level location and he was 100% right! It was amazing! My family (husband, me, 2 kids 6&4) had a truly ideal vacation! I think the Grand Solmar is absolutely jaw dropping beautiful! We would float from one pool to the other to the other all day and never get board. The swim up bars and service were top notch! We also put our kids in the kids club a few days and one evening out and they were begging for more! We went to Walmart and bought a bunch of breakfast foods and snacks and saved a bundle cooking one meal in a day. We would even leave our dishes for the maid (with an extra tip) and we were spoiled with excellent service. We didn't meet a single staff person who wasn't helpful and overly kind. We would walk to "town" or the Marina everyday, which was just a 10-15 min stroll. We also went to the neighboring hotel which was a little rowdier, but the kids liked the action. We had countless options to either hang out in paradise, stroll the beach, or visit the Marina. We took water taxi's to the other side of the bay and went to the "office". Super fun! I would highly recommend this hotel and doing a VRBO through Richard was a piece of cake (and saved us a lot of $). I can't wait to go back.
Stunning and Peaceful
My boyfriend and I spent a week here. The places was stunning. Breathtaking views of the ocean and lover's rock. Incredible food at the hotel. Spacious, spotless rooms with high ceilings and a large balcony. We were thrilled with the whole experience. Go! :)
The Grand Solmar property is the newest and best 5-Star Resort in Cabo San Lucas, a short walk, taxi or shuttle to all the nightlife, the marina and all the other attractions Cabo has to offer.
For the more nature oriented, there's the private beach, other public beaches, and all the water activities common for the Baja region including whale watching and deep sea fishing.
The weather is superb year round, an arid climate that doesn't get much rain. Most days throughout the entire year are sunny and in the 80s.
