About Noelle

Thanks for your interest in our property - a labor of love where we keep our roots in Arizona! We are an entrepreneurial couple who loves real estate and adventure, and we move frequently to follow our software consulting jobs, and love that we have a place to call home when we visit our families in the Phoenix area. This home is one we purchased after the boom and completely remodeled inside and out (including new roof, HVAC, exterior stucco, fence, yard & pool). We spent over a year on the renovations and knew early on we would use it as a vacation rental because of an impending move out-of state, therefore made certain improvements with our future guests in mind (such as a heater for the beautiful new pool :)

We have 3 other rental properties (and counting), but this is our only vacation rental. I, (Noelle) worked in hospitality throughout college and this kind of business is my passion! Helping travelers feel at home and taken care of during their vacations is easy with attention to a few details. I love dealing with our guests and exceeding expectations with a level of service and communication that is often too rare this day in age. I like to think that technology should only improve our experience, and not be a tool for people to hide behind when dealing with customers.

We are always accessible by phone, email and text and love any opportunity we get to talk to our guests! We hope you enjoy previewing our listing and hopefully getting a chance to stay there during your trip to the Tempe/Mesa area!

Noelle purchased this house in 2011

Why Noelle chose Mesa Grande

We purchased this home initially to be closer to the buzz of downtown Tempe and Scottsdale where we recreated. Living in the suburbs no longer made sense for our commutes and lifestyle. We found this incredible opportunity for a great skeleton of a home that had been loved and lived in over the years, but needed new life breathed into it. After a year+ of renovations, we were getting compliments from all the neighbors and the mail carrier! It is now more reminiscent of a luxury home you would expect to find further outside of an established area. Admittedly, we knocked down a few walls to accomplish the end result, and it was worth it!

This is an established area of Mesa (1 mile from the Tempe border), and is sure to experience a new wave of improvements due to the recent infrastructure with Mesa Riverview, Tempe Marketplace, and the Cubs new spring training facility around the corner. We were fortunate enough to get in on the ground floor 1 year before the Cubs field opened, and saw a vision of a vacation home for us and travelers alike, due to an impending move out-of-state for work. We completed the improvements with this end-goal in mind.

One of my favorite aspects of the neighborhood from our time living there to complete renovations was the quiet, wide streets. I ran a lot and it was a great place for that, as well as running along the canal that intersects Rio Salado Parkway around the corner. Jumping in the pool after a serene run was heavenly for me. Another favorite moment was having morning coffee in the cooler months on the back patio, just soaking in the quiet and staring at the pool.

It turned out to be quite the haven only minutes from all the recreation we love, and only 10 minutes to the airport. We absolutely love this house and it's one of my favorite things that keeps us busy, from reservations, to monthly accounting, to our visits on-site catching up with family and making sure things stay top-notch for our lovely visitors!

Family gathering

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home during a time of family loss and the house provided a beautiful respite of healing. We sat outside most days on the comfortable outdoor furniture and at night, we lit a fire in the fire pit and visited with family members. The spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath home provided privacy for us and our adult children & spouses. The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking easy. The pool was warm and wonderful and enclosed in total privacy. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Not enough pots and pans, pillows, blankets, bed below par

  • 3 of 5

Centrally located, nice pool and outdoor area, in a sketchy neighborhood, policy of leaving no dirty towels means no one gets to shower the day of departure if you have an early flight, owner easy to work with

Owner's Response: Hi Wendy, Sorry to see these comments, they are quite opposite of most feedback we get especially with regards to the fully stocked kitchen. If you wouldn't mind sending me an email about the beds and linens you found unsatisfactory, as well as which pots and pans you felt were missing in the array I'd love to hear specifics so we can look into how to remedy! Also, if guests communicate with me about towels on or before departure day and only have time to throw them in the washer before leaving, I am usually able to work with that and let the cleaning crew know start them in the dryer immediately upon arrival. Due to the number of bedrooms, they have to carefully time laundry during the turnover window and towels typically take a long time (esp for a house-full and considering pool towels). I wish that someone had reached out to me with concerns at the time so we could have worked together on a resolution instead of these concerns going unmentioned to me during and after your stay. This is the lowest review we've ever had, and it saddens me because we always strive to manage concerns with our guests whenever they arise, and most people leave ecstatic. But it is not possible to do so if there is no communication. Thank you for the honest feedback and I look forward to more specifics in an email from you so that we can consider all possible remedies. ~Noelle & Matt

Perfect home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

We were extremely impressed with this home. The location was great for our daily hikes. He then returned to enjoy the heated pool and back yard. The kitchen is well stocked and the grill is a bonus. The house is very spacious with multiple areas to hang out. Loved the orange and lemon tree as well!

Ideal Location, Pool & Comfort

  • 5 of 5

Great home with plenty of space, beautiful decor and refreshing in ground pool. Location is in a quiet neighborhood but close to every convenience and the light rail system. Enjoyed a football game at ASU, a drive along the Apache Trail, Old Town Scottsdale, and the botanical gardens. Highly recommend this home and it's responsive owners.
