Great Motel Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The motel room was clean and decorated in north woods decor. It was very homey. The grounds were immaculate and well maintained. I have kayaked past this place many times over several summers and always thought it looked like a great place. I was not disappointed!Just a couple of things to note—the curtains were not working. One side was partially open and the other side was closed and neither side moved. Considering theses are room darkening, it would have been brighter had both sides been stuck open. I did get them to move after messing with it a little. Also, and this seemed very weird, is the outlets didn’t work all of the time. Example, the table lamp between the beds was plugged in to the upper socket. I plugged my CPAP into the bottom outlet and it wouldn’t work. I then plugged my CPAP into the top outlet and it worked. Then I plugged the lamp in the bottom socket and it worked. The next morning I switched the lamp and the CPAP, and the lamp didn’t work when plugged into the top socket. Similar experience with the outlet on the outside wall. All in all, we were very pleased with the place and wii, no doubt, go back again.

We were fortunate enough to be able to schedule Noah as our fishing guide (money well spent). Noah has the patience of a saint...the resort is fortunate to have him. The room was great. Check-in and check out were a breeze. The kiddos and I highly recommend the Grand Pines Resort as a vacation destination

I was amazed at how absolutely quiet it was. I never heard any sounds (plumbing, tv, voices, etc.) from the adjacent rooms and slept totally undisturbed. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone who desires an affordable place to stay in Hayward, and plan on returning the next time my travels take back there.

Great place to stay on Round Lake

Wife and I stayed here first week of August and had a great time. The motel and cabins were all full but it was still quiet and very peaceful. The room was very clean and comfortable, had the feel and smell of every log cabin I've ever stayed in. I was initially concerned about the boat ramp and docks from the pictures because I have a bigger bowrider, but everything was fine. There were little kids swimming at the beach everyday, reminded me of my childhood trips to Round Lake. Plan on coming back next year
