3200 sqft cabin: Indoor Jacuzzi, Sauna, Wifi, and Huge Game Room.

Bedrooms 4
Space 3,200 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 3 nights

About the property

Sleeps 16: 4 bedrooms, 3 bath, large entertainment room.

Casa Luna is a beautiful 3,200 sqft house walking distance from Bear Mountain Ski resort. The house is ideal for a large group with the sleeping quarters separated from the entertainment area. This is great when you have some people that want to stay up late and socialize and other that want to go to bed early so they can hit the mountain/lake/hills early the next morning.

After a long day of skiing or hiking, you can spend the evening relaxing in the large 8 person INDOOR HOT TUB. There is no need to walk through the snow and bitter cold to get in the tub since it is indoors.

You can also revitalize yourself in the HOT ROCK SAUNA. Nothing cleans out the pours more than a good sweat.

In the game room, you can spend the evenings socializing with friends and family. There is a pool, fooseball, and air hockey table. We have a 55'' wide screen TV with an extensive DVD collection of 200+ titles. So if you want a mellow relaxing night just light the fireplace and sit back and enjoy your favorite movie.

You can stock and prepare your favorite drinks at the mini bar in the entertainment room. There is no need to run all the way to the kitchen to grab a drink.

We have 30 MB broadband internet setup with WIFI at the house. If you need to do some work or just want to stream some videos there is plenty of bandwidth.

The property is located in an ideal location of Moonridge. It is within a couple hundred yards from the zoo, golf course, and Bear Mountain ski resort. We are so close to the zoo that you could hear the wolves howl in the mornings. A very popular dirt/mountain bike and off road trail (2 N 10) starts about a quarter mile up the road from our place. You could take your bikes and ride directly from the house.

The house is off a the main Moonridge road so there is not a lot of traffic or noise, but close enough so that the roads are still flat and well maintained in the winter.

Right across the street is a ravine which is a great natural snow play area in the winters where you can go sledding and have the kids romp around.

The lake is a couple miles away and is easily accessible from the house. With a very long and flat driveway, parking a trailer with a boat or other toys is easy.

About Tim

Both my wife and I have lived in California for most of our lives. I remembered when I was younger, we would come up to Big Bear to enjoy all the outdoor activities that the area had to offer.

Now that we are married and have kids of our own, we wanted to have a place for our family to enjoy and escape the city.

Tim purchased this house in 2013

Why Tim chose Moonridge

We live in Orange County California so Big Bear is a short 2 hour drive to get into the great outdoors.

With 2 little kids, Big Bear is an easy get away that we can do without too much planning.

What makes this house unique

The house is very conveniently located. It is walking distance to Bear Mountain Ski resort. Close to restaurants and super markets.

The floor plan is great for large groups. With the indoor hot tub, sauna, and entertainment room you could spend all day relaxing indoor if you wanted.

We fell in love with the indoor hot tub and sauna. It is so amazing to come home and relax in the tub/sauna after a long day of skiing or hiking.

Excellent stay! Would love to visit again.

  • 5 of 5

The property was very spacious and in great condition. Loved the indoor hot tub, sauna room, and game room. It had an excellent location near The Village in Big Bear Lake and the various marinas from where you could rent boats, kayaks, or jet skis to enjoy the summer fun.

Fun and spacious cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in Tim's cabin. We had plenty of room for 14 people to sleep, play, and eat. The kids hardly wanted to leave the cabin to explore Big Bear because they were having so much fun in the game room and hot tub. Tim was very accommodating and quick to respond to our emails. Our deposit was refunded quickly. We would definitely stay at Tim's cabin again.

great for large groups

  • 5 of 5

me and my friends had a blast at this cabin. it's a bit dated but totally functional! so much space for all of us. we slept 14 comfortable and was able to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner in the kitchen with provided pots, pans, and utensils. The only thing we needed to buy were trays to bake cookies but we found that at the local grocery store with no problem. We would definitely stay again! Tim is great with communication.

Perfect for large family

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful winter retreat for large families. We stayed there with a group of 3 families. There was a total of 14 of us with kids and adults. We felt that we had plenty of room and were not bumping into each other all the time. The game room is the best part of the house. We spent most of our time there when not on the slopes. There is a wonderful leg massager in the game room that everyone enjoyed after skiing; that with the hot tub and sauna made for a relaxing evening after skiing all day. Check-in and out was easy. Communication with the owner was good and he responded to our question promptly. We will stay here again.

Wonderful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Tim's property and we had a wonderful time. The house was big enough for all of us, three families. I like it that the huge game room is on the other side of the house and the kids enjoyed it as well. This game room is really a plus! The kitchen is well equipped with whatever cookware you might need. The location of the property is pretty close to everything. The area is quiet and we love the views. Tim is nice and quick to communicate. Thanks Tim for sharing your home with us.

Great for family reunions

  • 5 of 5

Cozy home with tons of entertainment for kids and adults. The kids/teens loved the game room so much they rarely touched their phones. Tim was really nice and replied promptly to any questions we had during our stay. I would definitely recommend this cabin to families and dog owners.
