We have owned this apartment for almost 20 years. We have thought of everything to make this a home-from-home stay for you.
This apartment is on the 1st floor and has an elevator. Located on the corner of Palmer Street and Petty France (please see the street map link below), it's in one of London's most prestigious neighbourhoods - Saint James's Park's regal and historical district, beside Mayfair.
Listen to the King's regimental brass band practice during some lunchtimes on the grounds adjacent to the apartment from your apartment.
Why not take a Royal stroll alongside your London home? Saint James's Park is a magnificent sweep of open lawns, trees, and gardens with a lake at its very heart!
Once you've crossed the park, you'll arrive at the Mall - a broad open avenue that runs between Trafalgar Square, London's Theatreland, and Buckingham Palace. You'll notice Trafalgar Square and Admiralty Arch on the right, with Buckingham Palace on the left. The Mall is lined with many stately buildings.
Check to see if the 'Royal Standard', the King's flag is flying outside Buckingham Palace - this means she's at home!
Catch the Changing of the Guards or visit the state rooms of Buckingham Palace itself or the state carriages and splendid horses at the Royal Mews.
Check the London Tourist Board's website to see what's happening (the King's Birthday, Lord Mayor Show, etc.). Albany Court will give you an advantage when all these events are on, as you're so close to all the action!
To the right of the building are the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Westminster Abbey. You can adjust your wristwatch to Big Ben within two minutes of leaving Albany Court. At the Houses of Parliament, visit the House of Lords, House of Commons, and the 'Strangers' Galleries.'
Westminster Abbey is the ceremonial site of almost every British coronation from William the Conqueror in 1066 to King Charles in 2024.
Monarchs buried here include Henry VII, Elizabeth I, and Mary, Queen of Scots. Nearby is the Tomb to the Unknown Warrior and Poet's Corner, the resting place of Chaucer, Robert Browning, and Alfred Tennyson. Number Ten Downing Street, the Prime Minister's office, is also nearby.
The River Thames is beside the Houses of Parliament. At Westminster Pier, catch a boat to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern art gallery, Saint Paul's Cathedral, and Greenwich to visit its Maritime Museum and Observatory. Alternatively, visit the London Eye, London Aquarium, and South Bank Arts Centre just a walk over Westminster Bridge.
You will also be surrounded by London's - if not the world's - greatest art collections: The Royal Academy (home to Constable, Gainsborough, etc.), Tate Britain (Hockney, Turner, and British art from the 1500s onwards), The National Gallery (Van Gogh, Monet, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Goya, and Rembrandt), or take a Damien Hirst-designed boat to the Tate Modern (Dali, Picasso, Mattisse, Munch, Pollock, Lichtenstin, etc.).
For some shopping therapy, visit Pall Mall, Picadilly Circus, Regent Street, Oxford Street, or New Bond Street. Foodies will love Fortnum and Mason's food hall. To stock up on general groceries go to various mini supermarkets such as Little Waitrose on Victoria Street just round the corner (only 100 metres away).
The side entrance of Saint James's Park tube station is RIGHT BESIDE Albany Court. This is extremely convenient for all, particularly those traveling to/from Heathrow Airport.
Gatwick Airport travelers just take the Gatwick Express train to/from Victoria Train Station, which is just at the end of Victoria Street and literally a five-minute taxi journey.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, espresso coffee machine, french press, gas hob, electric oven, and dishwasher
The bathroom features a Matki shower enclosure, natural light, and a heated towel rail (October to April). The latest 'ionic' hairdryer'. The entire flat is bathed in sunlight as the ceilings are very high and it benefits from both south and west aspects.
There's fibre internet with a speed of around 50 Mbps, and smart TV (bring your Netflix login details). In addition to wifi, we also have a wired CAT5 cable if you prefer to connect via cable to your laptop.

Was a great place to stay! Flat had everything we needed for a week long stay. Terrific location — 2 minute walk to a tube station and within walking distance of many sites and attractions. Anita was super to deal with! Very patient and accommodating during the booking process and once we arrived checked in to make sure all was in placed as planned. Would highly recommend this property!
Very convenient to sightseeing, tube station, pub and convenience store. Very roomy and comfortable with well stocked kitchen and modern bathroom with a great shower. Would happily stay there again. Anita was a great host with very helpful suggestions.
We had a great stay at this apartment! Anita, our host, was an excellent communicator and always available for any questions. The apartment was very clean, and having laundry in the unit was a huge plus — especially since we were traveling with only carry-on luggage. The building felt secure, and the central location made it easy to walk almost everywhere. We would definitely recommend this apartment!
Great location, walking distance to many historic buildings and parks. Small Pub across the street, bakery around the corner and tube/subway close as well. The host was very accommodating and helpful with our questions. Entrance to the building is plain but the building is very safe and the first floor flat is newly remodeled and again the location is perfect.
Beautiful apartment, just as described. Wonderful location, close to so many of London attractions, pubs/restaurants. Anita the host was fantastic she sent us heaps of information. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to London. Hopefully we will visit again

We stayed for an extended weekend and the flat was perfect. You cannot beat the location - close to many sights and only a few steps to the Underground but on a quiet street. Anita was an excellent host and the flat was clean and just as described. We would definitely stay again when in London!

This apartment was perfect for our week long stay in London. The location was convenient to the St James Park Underground station, Westminster Cathedral, many restaurants and bakeries. We also enjoyed the pleasant walk through the park for shopping at Fortnum and Mason. We appreciated the easy communication with our host Anita. Her thoughtful touches included toiletries, an abundance of hangers and umbrellas to borrow. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It quickly became our home away from home.

A perfect place and location! The flat was clean and cozy, and had all we needed. Anita was so helpful with info and suggestions for our stay. We loved being able to walk to so many places, and being so close to St James’s station was a huge perk. We can’t wait to return in the near future!

Nice apartment in a great location. A short walk to St James Park and other sites are in easy walking distance. Even though we were in a prime location, it was quiet at night which we liked. Anita is a great host. We would stay at this apartment again.

Anita made this a home away from home! Her hospitality and communication were absolutely instrumental to our enjoyment of the area. The location is close to everything and a great area. The underground is just a few steps away and the proximity to bus pick ups was also great. She made some great area recommendations. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

You are the sweetest! Thanks for your lovely review. The pleasure was all mine as it would great to be part of your first London experience. Do come back soon, you do need at least 2 weeks here - if only to experience how different the weather can be day to day!
We loved this apartment in London. Perfect for a couple looking to enjoy the Westminster area. Safe area, busy during the day, but quiet at night. Would absolutely return

Thank you for your 5/5 star review and for picking this place for your holiday. I'm glad the early check-in made a difference, as well as the location. After you mentioned you saw Wicked the musical just around the corner from the apartment, we went too and loved it. Thank you for recommendation. Please stay in touch.
The apartment and host could not have been better. The host is quick to share information for your stay and is amazingly nice and helpful. The location is ideal for convenience to the London visitor hot spots. Highly recommend!!!

Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to host you and to help you have a lovely experience in my home city. Do come back soon!
Fantastic location, spotlessly clean, and a responsive host! The location of the flat is incredibly convenient and a delightful walk to popular places, great pubs, and restaurants. We stayed for two weeks and fell in love with the area. Steps from the St James Station, the flat is quiet and well appointed. I had an issue with my credit card during the stay and the host was so very helpful. The area is very safe, and as a septuagenarian, that is important to me! The host makes the stay so comfortable with an early check-in and late check-out, both of which were appreciated. Absolutely Fabulous Flat!
My husband & I spent 7 nights in this very well appointed apartment, there was nothing that hadn’t been thought of, from luxury linen to ceiling fans.Centrally located in Westminster with an easy walk to all London’s main attractions, a tube station a minutes walk to go further a field. The apartment was very comfortable in a fully secured building. We could not recommend this apartment highly enough, this was our 9th visit to London and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Thank you, Angela. Knowing you've stayed in London nine times, it truly means the world that you chose to return to this apartment. I'm so glad you noticed the little finishing touches – it's always rewarding when those details are appreciated.
We stayed here for the last 10 days of a 30-day trip, and it was perfect for our needs. We were able to wash clothes and fix food and watch TV when we were tired of seeing the sights. The Tube station is next door, and it’s an easy walk to the cool sights and Victoria Street and Station. Highly recommended.

Hi Jayne, I'm so happy I was able to help when your airline left you in Amsterdam with no accommodation nor means of getting to London after the Heathrow incident. I'm glad you had a lovely time in my city and enjoyed the apartment. Do come back soon, best wishes, Anita
Kitchen and laundry set up were first rate. The property is as advertised. The location was perfect for a London visit.Anita was wonderful to deal with. You have to trust the location is findable at first as the door is inside the car park across the street from the Pub. Check the pictures on the web site or ask Anita. There is no parking so cabs need to drop you in front of the chained entrance to the car park. No biggie.

Great flat; Great owner!
This was a great flat that was centrally located (one minute walk to Tube station) and had all of the amenities we needed. The flat was only eclipsed by the owner, who was quick to respond to questions and provided the best communication we've ever experienced.

About the host
Hosted by Anita
A Londoner born and raised in South London who moved to Central London in 1991, where I still live. I love hosting as I get pleasure from sharing my city with others.
Why they chose this property
I used to travel up to Central London as a child with my mum and her best friend to feed the ducks at St James's Park and loved the area from knee-high. This apartment is so centrally located to all the touristy sites and is prestigious with top security yet quiet. We bought this apartment over 20 years ago.
What makes this property unique
Imagine beating the queues by going to Westminster Abbey within 5 minutes' stroll from your Central London apartment, then returning home to relaunch, then walking in another direction to find yourself in front of Buckingham Palace within another 5 minutes - this will be your life at this apartment.
The apartment has many finishing touches such as a Miele washing machine and Miele tumble dryer, Siemens full-size dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine (even though you are opposite Starbucks), fast fibre internet, Matki shower enclosure, quartz kitchen worktops, black out blinds in each room, ceiling fans, and other features.
