Great location!

Finding the house was very easy. Apart from some minor things that would have been helpful to know for planning, our stay was great. The room spaces are actually quite large and beds are comfy. You really can walk to the lifts and it takes no time at all! Owner was great about communication with our stay and made everything easy. If you are staying here bring shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. - all the major toiletries that most places provide. This is NOT a knock against the place but we didn't think to pack those items (most places supply) and the house didn't have that. Thanks for the stay and we would definitely be back again!

Stunning View

Mt. Crested Butte is right there!! The photo does not even do it justice! Stunning! This was a perfect size (more than enough space) and location for 2 families with adult kids - 7 people - attending a family wedding. Easy to get into town, hiking, the mountain etc. Shawn checked on us upon arrival... absolutely no issues. Would DEFINITELY stay here again - Spring Summer Fall or Winter! [A 3 story mountain townhome so lots of stairs - lots of panting from us coming from sea level, SOFLO :)

Great stay marred by reservation fiasco (not the fault of VRBO or Evolve)

An otherwise great trip was marred by a reservation fiasco. We were booked for a week in February. A member of our group gave birth much later than expected. That put the age of the baby younger than was optimum for a trip to the mountains. Checking condo availability, the unit was also available two weeks later. That was strong incentive to invest a great deal of time to rearrange many work schedules and one scheduled surgery. We made the switch and received confirmations from EVOLVE and VRBO. A day or two later we received an email from the condo owner saying the new dates were not available without offering explanation as to what might have happened. Expecting there was a problem with the Evolve system I thought they would go out of their way to get a replacement condo. They did a quick search and found nothing available within 30 miles. The Evolve agent said their system reflects changes immediately, to which I can affirm because the new dates showed as reserved as soon as we changed the reservation. The agent said it was probably a "timing" issue ... probably so, but it wasn't an issue with the EVOLVE or VRBO systems. Nobody stepped up and said a mistake was made. That is too bad, because we enjoyed our stay there enough that we probably would have made an annual reservation. Now probably not. To add to the frustration, we arrived at the appointed check in time (3p). The cleaning crew said that was a misprint, the check in time is 4p and wouldn't be available until then. Double checking the confirmation, the "misprint" was in an email ... not very hard to correct. The condo is fantastic ... very large, roomy and functional. We are a group of 11 people including an 8 week old baby. Everybody had room to be apart and come together.

It’s unfortunate that this condo is under such poor management by the owner. When we arrived the place was filthy. There were Cheerios littered on the floor, beds were questionable, bathrooms smelled of urine, there were crumbs all over the floor, the list is endless. The owner offered to send his cleaner after making snarky remarks such as “It’s clean, just not up to your standards.” The condo is very poorly kept. The paper towel roll provided was half empty and almost every hand soap dispenser was empty on arrival. The WiFi did not work despite the owner assuring us it did. I highly recommend finding another place to stay. Fortunately Evolve refunded us half the stay and the cleaning fee after providing photo proof of all the problems. The owner choose to be dishonest about the situation, luckily we had photo documentation.

Crested Butte Vacation Home

This is a very comfortable home in a great location. Perfect view of Mt. Crested Butte. We encountered a few appliance issues, but overall had a nice time. The owner is very responsive and accommodating.

Awesome trip

This house is awesome and provided us a great trip. Owner was more than helpful and responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. 5 minute walk to the ski lift and the town shuttle and lots of space in a comfortable town house. Going to try and book this again the next time we are in Crested Butte.

Best mountain location for 4th of July

Truly beautiful views of Mt Crested Butte right outside your window and from the large deck where we spent together on the 4th of July. Front seat views of the fireworks! We had 8 adults and 5 kids and this place was perfect!

Big things were great, small things not so great.

This property should be (and could be with just a little attention) fantastic. The condo is roomy, well laid out, and perfectly located, plus the beds in the four bedrooms are excellent. However, we would not recommend this place to our friends for the accumulated small reasons described below. First, we are an experienced VRBO family group, and we (2 grandparents, three couples and 4 grandies all under 9) have done these trips together to Belize, Pass Christian MS, Vail and Crested Butte in the past. All of those trips were great, and our reviews were, too. This manager (owner?) wouldn’t need to do much at all to make this a tip-top vacation rental. Here are our observations: Guests over those in the 4 bedrooms are to sleep in a sofa bed and two inflatable mattresses. No problem there, except that the inflatable mattresses depend on a battery-powered pump that has to charge for 8 hours before it runs for 20 minutes. No direct AC-to-pump action. Plus, one of the mattresses went flat under the weight of two 5-year olds. There were no toiletries provided except bars of soap. This was surprisingly inconvenient. Kitchen was well-equipped in terms of knives and cooking utensils, but had some aggravating deficiencies: Gas range had one burner that lit as designed, while other needed spark propane wand. Glassware and dinnerware was basically adequate for 8, but really for 6 if things were to match. 12 was a real stretch. The kitchen lacked some essentials like a dish scrubber or cutting board, and was stocked with one roll of paper towels and no napkins. Fridge ice maker was not hooked up, there was no coffee grinder, and the coffee maker was a cheap Sunbeam that didn’t work right. The dining table had six chairs in varying degrees of seat sag, a couple pretty darned sad, and the deck offered only four very nice rocking deck chairs. The BBQ was a rickety shallow square affair that basically didn’t work. (We are from western Colorado and know all about high-altitude grilling.). Most annoying was its filthy condition when we arrived. The area had been under fire restriction due to drought, and this was the manager’s excuse for its condition. Actually, contained charcoal fires are allowed in the stage one restrictions then in effect, and while we there all restrictions were lifted. We spent 40+ minutes just cleaning the grill, but finally had to finish the kabobs under the oven broiler inside.
