The property is absolutely gorgeous and so secluded. The water features feel like you are in the middle of your own oasis. We loved everything about it! We will definitely stay here again when visiting family. Thanks for everything!

The property was very secluded and peaceful. The house was cozy, but had some electrical issues and the bed was very hard.could have used a topper! All in all, good stay.

Hi, Robert, I’m sorry you found issues with the house. The bed is a memory foam mattress and we have had many guests say that it is very comfortable. I’ll consider getting an additional memory foam topper as an option. Can you please elaborate on what the electrical issues with the house are? I would have tried to remediate anny issues during your stay if you had told me about them, additionally if there are electrical issues I would like to be informed of them for the sake of safety.

Abby's place was great. The hoothaus was an exceptional stay. Really interesting, cool house, lovely outdoor space, and super accommodating hosts. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. Would definitely stay again when in Nevada City. Thank you for a great time!

Hoothaus was just as described, and we enjoyed our stay immensely! We had a little trouble figuring out the waterfall (first-world problems, to be sure!) because there were 2 different instructions in 2 places. But my communications with the owner were always timely and helpful. We will definitely stay again if ever back in Nevada City. Lovely, cozy, romantic spot. Would also make a fabulous writer’s retreat!

My husband and I had a great stay at the Hoothaus. Great location with easy access to mountain biking and running trails. Close to the lake and to downtown Nevada City, yet still quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very communicative and helpful in suggesting local activities. Space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.
