Situated in the heart of an upscale residential neighborhood, Indian Wells, this home is a short distance from the Palm Springs International Airport, centrally located among the other desert communities, restaurants, golf courses, shopping and home to the Tennis Garden. This property is primarily available for long term leases with a minimum of one month.
Inside the home you will enjoy the open floor plan, accented with handmade oriental carpets, which opens to the outdoor space, creating one large living area. The master suite has a king size bed, TV, private bath with a tub and separate shower, a large walk-in closet and has French doors which open to the outdoor living space. The second junior suite has a queen size bed, TV, private bath with a large shower and a spacious walk-in closet. The third bedroom space is set up as a den which easily converts to a bedroom with a queen sleeper sofa. The sofa bed has an additional mattress which makes it as comfortable as a traditional bed. The den is ready for a work space, hanging out watching tv, or additional sleeping space with a roomy walk-in closet. All walk-in closets have sets of drawers.
The home is equipped, outdoors as well as indoors, for a luxury stay. Several French doors open from the main house to join the indoors living space to the outdoor living space which boasts a lovely private salt water spa and pool situated in a spacious tropical paradise with a southern exposure. Arranged on outdoor area rugs, comfortable and stylish outdoor furniture, dining set, outdoor fireplaces, and a gas grill provide an additional covered living space to settle into on our beautiful desert days and evenings. Tiki torches furnish additional ambiance to this serene, intimate setting.
The property has stylish and sophisticated decor throughout as well as a gourmet kitchen which includes a professional gas range, a Sub Zero refrigerator, as well as, multiple small appliances. The kitchen offers the items needed to entertain groups of friends or intimate dinners for two. An additional refrigerator is located in the spacious two car garage which has a third stall for a golf cart. Right off the kitchen is a separate laundry room that has a new front loading washer and a front loading dryer.

About Jo Chatalas
I am retired and have returned to Seattle, WA where my only child, a daughter, was raised and now resides with her husband and my grandchildren. I was raised in a little community in Eastern Washington. I attended WSU and graduated with a degree in Education. I married and moved to Seattle, WA. I also attended SU during my career for two master degrees, Curriculum Development and School Administration. I moved to the desert from Seattle in 1998, after my daughter graduated from high school and entered Santa Clara University. I had worked for the Seattle Public Schools for 28 years. I found an empty building lot in Indian Wells and I had my home designed and built. I moved into my new home in 2000. I retired from the Desert Sands School District after working an additional 12 years. I did not plan to return to Seattle, but with the first announcement of a pregnancy, I couldn't return fast enough. I now enjoy almost daily interactions with my two precious boys. Having guests stay at my home has been such a pleasant experience. Each of my guests have treated my home as their own and I have met the most wonderful, thoughtful people. I come to the desert to meet each guest at their arrival and make myself available 24/7 for any questions or concerns.

I did a lot of research before deciding where I wanted to live. Indian Wells is the safest community in the desert. We have more policeman and fireman per capita, as well as, the lowest crime rate in the desert.

Fabulous Indian Wells Home
This home was more enjoyable than we could have imagined. The major attraction to us was the unparalleled back yard. It was our favorite place to enjoy. The palm trees are majestic, the pool and hot tub wonderful, and the covered patio is furnished with a lovely conversation area as well as dinning table. At night, the ambient lighting in the yard makes it look like a resort.
The rest of the home was impeccable! All the comforts of a home had been more than adequately provided.
It was a perfect place for us to enjoy entertaining or just being by ourselves.
As we have learned from past rentals, the most important ingredient for a 5 star rental is the hands on management. Our owner was on the spot in providing for any repairs or necessities we required.
We obviously loved the home, the location, the ambiance, and most definitely our lovely landlady.

Beautiful Desert Oasis
A charming, beautifully maintained home in a quiet but convenient location. Fully equipped with top appliances, quality furnishings, and a lovely pool/spa in a lushly landscaped backyard. Mattresses and bed linens are superb. Good internet and TV connection. Close to Tennis Garden, restaurants, cinemas, and fine shopping. The owner is eager to make your stay a wonderful experience.

Very private and beautiful back yard and pool. The interior and floor plan are perfect. Get up in the morning and open front door and pool area doors and have your coffee. It dosent get any better than this.....
An absolutely gorgeous home in the best location in the valley!
My wife and I stayed in this beautiful Indian Wells home for the month of April 2014. Staying here is like a bit of heaven in the desert. There is ample room for guests with each bedroom having its own bathroom, including shower. The backyard is quiet, private, and secluded with large palms and orange trees all around. A private pool makes it the perfect place to spend an afternoon. The house is immaculate with every amenity one could possibly need. And it's close to shopping, golfing, biking, hiking, and great restaurants. Even better than all that is the owner, Jo, who is extremely generous and responsive to even the smallest question. We did our homework to find the best property we possibly could in the area, and this is it. Highly recommended!
Like staying at the Four Seasons
This is an elegant, romantic, beautifully appointed home with a gorgeous pool and yard area, located in the heart of Indian Wells close to the Tennis Garden and El Paseo. We cannot recommend it highly enough.
Beautiful Vacation Home!
We spent the month of February in this wonderful home and it was not nearly enough time! It is truly even more wonderful than the pictures. Entering through the front gate you encounter a welcoming fountain that sets the tone for the rest of this home. The home is beautifully decorated and has a great open flow between the living room, kitchen, and dining room.The living room has high ceilings, a great fireplace, and plenty of seating. The kitchen has all the modern appliances you could want and is fully stocked for the cooking items you might need. There are plenty of dishes, stemware, and any other items you might need for entertaining. Dining room can easily seat 8 or more. Wonderful master BR and bath with vanity, shower, tub, and huge closet. The second BR is also lovely and has a great bathroom and huge closet. The 3rd BR has a sleeper sofa and it is easily converted if you need it. The guest bathroom next to it has a shower behind closed door which makes it convenient for the 3rd BR.
The backyard is spectacular and very private!! This is a very peaceful and relaxing environment. Since it is a corner lot it has more green space than most yards in this area. You also have views of the mountains. It has a nice salt water pool with a hot tub connected to it. We did not use these often because of the cool nights in February, but they can be heated if needed. The landscaping is truly beautiful. There are lots of flowers, shrubs, and palm trees. There is plenty of seating outside with both couches and a dining area under the covered porch. There are also lounge chairs in the sun, so you can relax in either the sun or shade. It is the perfect home to relax and entertain in the warm desert climate. You can tell this home has been lovingly planned and maintained.
The wonderful owner, Jo, is quick to respond to any needs you might have. Her description of her home is completely accurate. We have rented many homes, and this one is my favorite. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to come for golf or relaxation.

Additional information about rental rates
Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice. The Energy Deposit is to cover monthly energy costs. A monthly $500 will be collected for each month rented. Renters will be responsible for the payment of electricity (Flat Rate $200/monthly), Pay Per View, Special Sports stations requested and gas which will be deducted from the $500 The Energy Deposit. Energy costs that do not total $500 will be refunded. Monthly bills will be sent to renter to justify the amount that will be deducted from the monthly Refundable Energy Deposit. If the above listed costs exceed $500, the remainder will be deducted from the Damage Deposit.
