Nice little cabin away from town

  • 4 of 5

This is a nice little one room cabin about 30 minutes from Gatlinburg in the Cosby community. It is not fancy, but did have a romantic heart shape tub next to the bed and a gas fireplace in the corner. Didn't have an iron & ironing board, so if you don't want to go out wrinkled bring your own.

Efficiency style apartment setup on busy highway

  • 3 of 5

So, the cabin really lacked charm and peace and quiet. What it did offer is excellent location if you are looking to hike from Cosby campground. We took several outstanding day hikes on the trails and enjoyed the scenery. The cabin was clean and well appointed although I nearly paid it forward and bought them a real coffee pot, there was one of those 2 cup hotel numbers in the cabin that was not working for us!

We were kind of bummed when reading the comments that people that book directly with the owners received discounts for anniversaries or honeymoons etc. we paid in full in advance for our honeymoon and weren’t offered any kind of discount. The instructions and rules left out next to a huge amount of religious texts were kind of harsh. Not the rules themselves but the tone, the whole welcome presentation just felt like the owners were saying “we are sick of renting our cabin and dealing with guests so don’t be a pain.”

We really did not get any romantic or couples only vibe from the place, we left a day early as I had to take care of some work issues and needed wireless to do it, I called the contact number and gave my explanation we left before check out and hoped we would get a refund but never heard a word. Overall not a great experience, it did make us thankful for our quiet home in the country where we don’t have cars speeding by 24/7 waking us up from sleep.

Cute cabin on a quite stream! Relaxing and peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

I loved staying at the charming creek side cottage. It was so quite and peaceful and was a wonderful getaway! My only complaint would be that the amenities state there is an iron and ironing board and there was not either in the cabin. We had to go find wrinkle release spray at a nearby dollar store since I had not preironed anything. However, this was the only hiccup we had. I want to come back and stay longer than a weekend next time. Reading a book on the back porch was amazing! About a 30-40 minute drive to pigeon forge and gaitlinburg, the cabin was the perfect distant from the chaos, but close enough to be able to drive in for whatever we wanted to do. We can’t wait to come back!

Nice creekside in back, no front view due to electric substation.

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The Creek was right outside the back of the cabin and you can sit in the screened in porch and enjoy the sound. There is no view out the front however because the cabin sits across the highway from a very large electric substation. When you see the substation you have arrived. We were a little surprised that we had not seen any mention in any review. However for the price, it was a nice place to stay and very close to the Cosby entrance to the national park. If you plan to cook your own meals, the cookware is limited. Bring your own crockpot if you like to have your meals waiting when you return from hiking. . Also no laundry facilities or wi-fi.

Much needed getaway!!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is very clean and we LOVED the screened in porch!!! We were worried pulling in that the noise of the road would distract us and when you are in the porch you would never know! Only thing we were super bummed about was not having a wine key! We brought a nice bottle of wine to enjoy and didn't get to drink it. But thank you for a much needed time of refilling our cup with some alone time and unplugged.

Perfect spot for a getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I surprised my husband for his birthday and our anniversary with a three night stay in the Smokey Mountains. I had driven through but never experienced it there. I highly recommend the cabin! It was clean and cool when we got there and we loved the patio overlooking the creek! We had everything we needed there and meant to cook our meals there as well but found that Janice's Diner and Carver's Applehouse were cheap and delicious for breakfast and dinner! We loved the hot tub in the room and after long hikes during the day it was perfect on our sore muscles! The bed was comfortable and AC worked well. I would definitely come back and stay next time we come through! Thank you for a memorable three nights and a beautiful cabin with a view!
