My husband and I needed a little weekend getaway and this was the perfect place to come! The cabin was wonderful and we enjoyed the hot tub very much. We hope to come back soon for a longer stay!
The cabin was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. It was very clean, very private, and priced accordingly. The location was also great, not too far of a drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.
My wife and I had another couple traveling with us to East Tennessee. This cabin was perfect!! It was shockingly clean and very private!! It was just as advertised!!!
We will be going back!!!
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip. It was just as described on VRBO. The trees have grown since website photos were taken, but made it more cozy. Although a little dated, it was very clean, had truly had everything that you need for a perfect vacation, other than your food, washing powder and fabric softener. If we had any questions although I had to do was call Mrs. Debbie and she answered right away. Much roomier than photos show. The house is private, secluded, but not very far from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and many other areas. We traveled to Knoxville, about an hour's drive to visit Fort James White, Andrew Johnson National Cemetary, and several other historic sites. Although we preffered to cook or grill all our meals at the cabin, we did eat out one time. We highly recommend the Cosby café as a must try restaurant. It is like a little hidden jem for a restaurant. We had daily visits from a little rabbit and family of turkeys. We have already decided that we will be staying at this cabin again and can't wait for our next trip.
We had a good time but the travel time to get into the park was not good. It would have helped if there would have been some type of directions left at the cabin such as: maps of Gatlinsburg showing how to avoid the main traffic jams, favorite hikes or car routes.
I also found it offensive that we paid for housekeeping but the was a jar in the kitchen asking for tips for the housekeeper. If I'm going to pay for housekeeping then make it the total.
The property was good. The beds were good but very soft. There was no measuring cup for wet ingredients. The bathroom was okay. There seemed to be some problems with an opening to the outside because we kept getting flies into the cabin.
My husband, myself and our dog spent 7 days here last week. It was exactly as described, clean, neat and has everything you need but food. Front porch is a joyous place to sit and watch hummingbirds and butterflies. When the weather cools down about 8pm the hot tub is a welcome time to privately wind down and relax the tired muscles from hiking, zip lining and white water rafting. We couldn't wait to get back to our cabin to cook out and enjoy the quiet peaceful evenings. You can't see any other cabins or people while on porch or in yard. Very secluded.
direction. Only negative is the pillow top mattress seems new but it bows very badly in middle. We traded mattresses and the other one did the same but not as bad. We brought a mattress topper, thank goodness because a good night sleep is important on vacation. Other than the beds we give this a very high rating! Loved it!
Cleanest cottage/ cabin I have ever stayed in...... Including beach rentals. Private lot surrounded by trees and a mountain view From front porch swing, hot tub and rocking chair. The most peaceful serene setting. Dealing with aging parents one with dementia is very draining. This was just what the dr ordered too regroup, relax & just rest.
Cosby is a beautiful NON commercial little backwoods town that has a lot of character and charm. Great home cooking restaurants and if you must visit the bright lights then G.burg and P. forge Ate 1/2 he drive. We stayed local and drove up on the Foothills Pkwy from Cosby side..... gorgeous sunsets! Will be back! Debbie the property mgr is awesome to Work with. & Virginia has too be the best housekeeper ever!
